I had never used Thumbtack before this experience. I was planning a dinner party for my sister's bachelorette party and wanted to do something extra special -- so we decided to get a private chef. ShefShaun answered my request promptly and was extremely easy to work with through direct email. I gave him our budget and he was able to come up with an amazing menu within our parameters. We were expecting a total of 12 guests. The day of the event he arrived two hours before the meal and provided all the dinnerware we needed (plates, silverware, cloth napkins, and offered wine glasses). The house smelled wonderful as he worked on preparing our meal -- we opted for a salad course, plated appetizer, and entree. When dinner time arrived his assistant was fabulous and made sure that we were taken care of and did not lift a finger. He explained each course to us as it was served including our refined chef's salad, arancini with tomato and mushrooms, and seared chicken breast supreme. ShefShaun and Dawn were both extremely professional and a pleasure throughout the evening. One of the highlights was that ShefShaun brought all of his own supplies and equipment. In addition to preparing an exceptional meal, ShefShaun made sure to leave the kitchen spotless afterwards. I have never used a private chef before this event. ShefShaun exceeded all expectations. I would highly recommend him to anyone considering having a special dinner party event.
I wanted to provide a special dinner for my mother's 89th birthday, for just she and a friend, in her assisted living apartment. I found six personal chefs on-line in Pittsburgh who sounded appropriate. Kimberley followed up from inquiry quickly, understood my idea, and sent me a detailed menu. We made some modifications and I felt confident moving forward. The cost was lower than some other personal chefs, and I felt it was reasonable. My mother reported that the dinner was presented with a flair, the service was wonderful and the food was delicious. She felt pampered and celebrated, which was my goal.

Searching for a trainer was hard for me, I wanted someone who is educated and could answer any questions that came up. After finding him on the Tumbtack app, I noticed he had multiple degrees and he was also a chef! So I hired him and after the first day I could tell he was truly something special. His knowledge and his workouts are something I look forward to each week. I would have Nick live in my guesthouse if I could! That’s how good he is. He is always coming up with different workouts and is always supplying me with healthy recipes to cook right after our workouts! He is fantastic and I couldn’t recommend him more!
