Sean is reliable, communicates well with my child which helps my child progress in his lessons and my child looks forward to his piano lessons, which is very important.
John has been a perfect teacher for me because of his profound understanding of music theory and composition. John has a degree in music from Berklee and those concepts are brought to life in our lessons. My musical understanding and ability has skyrocketed since our lessons began. Prior to us starting, jamming with other musicians was incredibly intimidating. Now I have standing weekly jam sessions with multiple groups and am able to old my own and improvise well at each. I have become the teacher for many of my friends who I previously thought were years ahead of me in musical talent. If you have the hunger to learn guitar, John is your guy.
I just started voice lessons with Mary. Would highly recommend. She is able to access voice range and inflection very quickly, build on your strengths, and help you improve in areas that need more development. She will get you started right away, whatever your desired goals are.
Kitty has changed my vocals for the better 100% in just three lessons. As a professional musician and teacher, Kitty has all of the right tools for me. Kitty is passionate about what she is doing and cares about me achieving my goals as a singer. I am so pleased with her teaching methods and getting the right results. Awesome!
Michael has given voice lessons to two of our kids and to me. His is a fantastic teacher -- creative, encouraging, and effective in getting the best of any voice.
Have been taking singing lessons for a month so far and it is so much fun. I always leave with a smile on my face and progressively getting better week by week. Rosalind is a great teacher, very enthusiastic and has been amazing. Looking forward to my next lesson!!
Katie is my daughter's favorite teacher. I've never seen my child come back unhappy from one of her lessons. She is always encouraging, has the most positive teaching philosophy, and is always encouraging my daughter to take risks and perform. With Katie's support and guidance, my daughter has participated in several vocal competitions, and is blossoming into a beautiful singer. With love, Katie was able to open up my child's desire to learn and take the extra step to excel.
Working with Kathryn is the ideal situation. She is extremely knowledgeable about vocal technique and pedagogy, so she has a wealth of tools and approaches she can employ at any given time when a student is confronted with a vocal obstacle. She is always encouraging, supportive, invested, and very professional. On top of it all, Kathryn has opened up my sound exponentially and in a way that is equally as healthy as it is strong. I would recommend her voice lessons to any of my singing friends or family tenfold.
Art is the best singing teacher I've ever had...and that's saying a lot, because I've been studying voice on and off for over 20 years. I've studied rock as well as opera, and art is the best at BOTH genres that I've ever met. He knows so much about the human voice, it's actually freakish! He can talk about any vocal technique and explain it's strengths and weaknesses in simple terms that are easy to understand. His own technical approach is so simple and natural -- it actually brings out and enhances your natural ability rather than trying to superimpose some artificial mumbo jumbo that just confuses you and sounds like crap! I've also observed many of his lessons, and he's great with females too (I'm a guy obviously haha). i was also surprised to find out that he is as skilled and knowledgeable about broadway music as he is about opera and rock. The other great thing about Art is that he is a good engineer as well, and he has a studio in his house. So he regularly records his students singing at their lessons and then emails them the mp3s. This is SO helpful...hearing yourself recorded on a regular basis in an objective way can help you grow as a vocalist by leaps and bounds. He has even made some great sounding demos for some of his more serious students, and those demos actually helped them secure auditions and singing jobs. He has even helped some of his younger students land some great auditions at reputable music schools. And finally, Art is one of the best people i know. He is a great guy who always gives 110%. He cares about all his students. He's also hilariously funny, which keeps me smiling and relaxed at my lessons. It's the perfect environment to learn voice, which by nature can be stressful sometimes. Art is the complete package when it comes to voice teachers! Give him a try...you won't be sorry :)
Jordyn is an amazing sensitive person that will just SEE you and help you bring that potential out into the world. She has helped me tremendously with being comfortable with my own voice and expressing myself in my own personal way. Can't recommend her enough, she always gets my throat chakra spinning. A truly holistic approach to singing and voice work.
I took voice lessons with Jake Stamatis while I was an undergraduate student at Binghamton University. Jake is amazing! He is kind and being his student was truly a joy. I believe I have improved a lot. Jake worked on technique with me, especially my breathing, which has helped to make my voice stronger. Along with technique, he moves at a good pace and during my time with him I was able to add many songs to my repertoire. Overall, I believe I am more confident after taking voice lessons with Jake. Since finishing school and leaving the area, I miss taking voice lessons with him so much. You won't regret taking voice lessons with Jake. You learn so much and it is so much fun too! You will love it.
Cory has helped transform my instrument in three distinct ways. One, he has a dynamic understanding of vocal pedagogy, it's not just the feeling but the "how and why" of the voice. His techniques have expanded my range, breath control, and vocal interpretation of music. Most important, he listens to my needs, advocates for my unique sound, and partner's with me to make quality music. Lessons with Cory take work! You and your voice are center stage, and I feel I leave with a complete understanding of healthy singing and musicianship!!!
I went to Debra for voice lessons, she is an amazing teacher. She really helped me grasp concepts and helped me improve my vocal performance in a way I never imagined. She is a great teacher and I reccomend her for anyone looking to serisiosly improve their singing ability.
Jana is the best voice teacher around. She has done wonders for my daughter's self-confidence, and after a few months, I decided to take voice lessons from her as well. She has helped me so much more in just a few weeks than my two previous teachers combined! She is so knowledgeable and talented, I just can't say enough! Jana is also an excellent piano teacher. My son had already been taking piano for six months, and was learning at a relatively slow pace with books that he thought were a bit boring. When Jana started teaching him, she was able to challenge him and keep him interested with new material, and I can say that he really loves piano now! I feel very lucky to have her available to us!!
Corinthia sung at my wedding in 2013! She sung a song by Jennifer Hudson and it was truly amazing. I will be using Corinthia in the future to train my daughter with vocal lessons and to sing at my future events.
My 9 year old son has been taking voice lessons from Perry for over a year. We have been extremely pleased with the progress he's made and the love for singing he's developed. I have never seen my son show so much enthusiasm towards anything as he does for his weekly lessons with Perry. Perry is very patient, able to communicate with children very well and he makes learning a fun experience. I would highly recommend Perry as an extremely talented and capable voice instructor!
When I first started with Markus in January of 2018, I had little professional vocal training and had a very under developed technique. In only a few lessons, I have seen a dramatic improvement both in how I sing as well as how I sound. Through guided lessons, I have been able to sing higher and sustain pitches longer than I ever have before, as well as develop a natural vibrato which is something I previously thought was impossible for me to attain. He is extremely kind and patient with his students, which is very crucial as it lets the student feel comfortable and not hold back sound or energy. By fostering an encouraging and positive space, mistakes are turned into learning opportunities and he will point out both things you are doing right as well as things that need minor tweaking. It is very obvious that he knows what he is doing and knows how to help students develop their own technique by offering tips and strategies for producing their best sound. I have been very happy with the progress I have made in such a short time, and would recommend him to anyone who is serious about improving their singing, as well as to seasoned singers who are looking for a way to keep their edge. Two thumbs up!
As a beginner-level guitar player and singer, I couldn't speak more highly of Taylor as a teacher. I've been doing lessons with him for almost 2 years now and have improved from complete beginner to recording songs! With his help, I've not only learned how to play songs on a guitar, but he has also taught me how to sing with the correct breathing and increased my range. One of the biggest benefits is that he has a home recording studio - not only is it cool to have my own recording, but it helps me learn to be able to listen to myself. Taylor's teaching style is very engaging and enthusiastic, plus he's patient with my musical inexperience. He teaches me songs I want to learn as well as unique guitar and singing skills. I would highly recommend Taylor to any aspiring musician who wants to have fun lessons while also improving drastically.
Great voice instruction she was very helpful
Ive studied voice with a number of teachers, including some in New York who teach Broadway and opera professionals. John Peters is by far the most knowledgeable and effective I have ever seen. John can, of course, act as a coach to help you prepare for auditions and performances. But John's unique strengths are that he really understands how the body works to produce good sounds, and he knows how to communicate to his students so they can get it, too. If you are a beginner and its surprising, most of us actually are, even if weve studied with other teachers for years John has a series of exercises to get your breathing and vocal cords working the way they should. If youre an experienced singer, John is uncanny at immediately identifying the flaws in your technique and assigning special vocal exercises that address them specifically. He quickly enlarged my range from barely an octave-and-half to way more than two octaves, got my tone to resonate much more richly, and developed my vibrato into a dependable part of my voice that I could control. I recommend John very highly. He's that very rare vocal professional who is equally at home teaching the whole gamut from rock singing to country music to Broadway and opera "legit" technique. Whether youre a beginner who wants to sound better, or a working professional who wants to take his or her career to the next level, John knows how to pitch his instruction to you as an individual and help you achieve your goals.
