My fiance and I went on thumbtack, looking for a personal chef to do our wedding. Of all the chefs who responded to us we were immediately impressed with how professional and thorough Tony was. Whereas others who contacted us simply gave us a price range based on our number of guests, Tony supplied us with some examples of menus from previous clients, but also assured us that what he would prepare for us would be specifically customized to meet our needs. He came to our home for an initial consultation, and we immediately hit it off. He was personable and professional. We discussed the menu as well as the logistics; including a tent, tables and chairs, dinnerware, and decorative flowers. We were relieved when he told us that he would take care of all of those things if we wanted, and he did, except for the flowers. (Although he did supply flowers for the tables and even offered to find someone to perform the ceremony) The affair was to be an intimate dinner with seventeen guests and we planned to have our wedding at home in the garden. We decided where the food would be prepared as well as the dining and serving tables. The menu we agreed upon was eclectic, with an international theme. It would consist of a five course dinner with a wine pairing with each course, and a cocktail hour before the first course. From the start, we loved how it sounded and we were eagerly anticipating seeing and tasting everything. Incidentally, he also made another trip to our home weeks later when we were having second thoughts about how to set everything up. The day of the wedding Tony and his staff arrived promptly. The rental tables, chairs and dinnerware had arrived the previous afternoon. After the ceremony and some photo taking was the cocktail hour. The hors d'oeuvres were all delicious and beautifully presented, and so were each of the five courses to follow. The staff was professional and courteous and their appearances were tasteful. The table settings were elegant, and exactly what we had wanted. The quality and freshness of the food was outstanding. The third course, grilled Pacific salmon and pan seared Chilean sea bass, drizzled with a strawberry citrus sauce was one of the most delicious dishes I ever had in my fife, and the salmon was grilled absolutely perfectly. If I had to find something less than desirable, I would say that there was one server who most guests agreed was not very friendly but she may have just been nervous. As for the food, there was an Australian grilled boneless leg of lamb which was a little overcooked for my wife and my tastes, but our guests had no complaints. However in all honesty, to find negative aspects of the entire experience I'm reaching somewhat, as the overall experience was simply amazing and all the things we loved about it far outweigh the aforementioned mild disappointments. It exceeded our already hopeful expectations. Furthermore, the price was definitely reasonable. When one of our guests inquired about the cost per plate (not including rentals) he was astounded that it did not cost much more. Finally, all of our guests raved about the day to no end and many of them said it was the most elegant wedding they had ever attended. I'm quite certain some of them will be contacting Tony for an event of their own.
First and foremost, I’d like to say again Thank you, Shonta for an AMAZING wedding day! Our experience with Shonta and Indigo Blooms was amazing! Shonta is very warm and welcoming as a Coordinator, making our conversations and time working together very comfortable. We felt as if she was a family friend that was assisting us. She was prompt at responding if I reached out to her. She gave suggestions to details and ideas that we had for our event. We had a wedding that consisted of 50 guests, and separate locations for the ceremony and reception - both of which needed prep for the events. She and Angelo were on top of it all. As I walked into the museum gallery, the allure of the lanterns, candles and red rose petals added just the right amount of romance to the mystique of the gallery. The bouquets, wrist corsages and the boutonnières were beautifully crafted to perfection. Our reception space was amazing too! Fine tuning text messages between us late one evening, I was brainstorming an idea for the centerpieces and Shonta was on board with an open ear and ideas. The floral arrangements she provided were stunning compliments to my centerpieces for the reception. Guests thought the centerpiece flowers were beautiful and took several home at the end of the night. During our time working together, she never made me feel like I was just another client, or that I had to wait my turn for her attention. She was attentive to the bride and groom’s needs, as well as making sure the guests were happy. So, would I recommend Indigo Blooms to someone for the custom events experience? In a heartbeat...and I’d definitely use her services again for any other events that I do.
Clesha is an amazing person; highly professional as well as very nice. She did an amazing job planning our event- a wedding reception. She was really easy to work with (even though I hired her less than a month before our event) and I am really happy with the way our event decor turned out. I loved all the details from the floral stage backdrop to the centerpieces to the uplighting. It all looked perfect. I especially really appreciate the fact that she kept on checking on us till the end to see if we need anything else and there actually were some changes that we made last minute but she was really helpful in making things the way we wanted- I really appreciate that. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for an amazing decoration at their event and I will be calling you for my next event for sure. Thank You Clesha! I recently had the absolute privilege of collaborating with Denise from Brilliant Affairs and her wonderful staff at a July 2017 wedding. I was immediately made to feel at home. Denise and her staff went far above and beyond to make sure that both the client and her staff were being taken care of with the utmost professionalism. In my humble opinion, she has the capability, talent, ability to anticipate potential issues, and most importantly the obvious passion and love for what she does,and she does it better than any I have worked with. DJ King Leo is definitely that work when it comes to a party. He knows how to get the party started and keep it going. Very professional and a cool guy. He's great for any type of function. He has made everything from my college graduation to my house parties, to wedding memorable events. If I had five hands, I'd give him 5 thumbs up.
Lorelei is an AMAZING florist!!! She helped us work within our budget and recommend similar flowers to what we liked so they would fit better into our budget but still have the look we wanted. She kept in touch with us throughout our wedding planning and even did a walk through at our event site to make sure everything was perfect & exactly what we wanted. She was on time the day of the wedding (already setting up when I arrived to get ready) and her flowers were beautiful! They were beyond my expectations, my husband and I were so pleased. All the guests were very impressed with our beautiful arrangements. My bouquet was incredible! And Lorelei brought a little water holder for my bouquet and bridesmaids bouquets so they would stay fresh until the ceremony. All the flowers we had definitely looked twice or three times as much what we actually paid for it. I would recommend Lorelei for a wedding or any special event. We plan to use her again in the future for any events we have. She does really great work!!!
Stephanie was a great wedding planner for my 2015 destination wedding. She found a place in Winter Park Florida which sat right next to the water and was very picturesque and beautiful. She arranged everything from the 1942 convertible Cadillac request to the decor at the ceremony site and the reception. Very beautiful. My family was so impressed with her work. Now, after seeing Stephanie's work, my daughter is using Everything is an Event for her wedding this year July 2017!
I was looking for planners for my sister who is Orthodox Jewish and had very specific requirements around that, so we weren't able to hire Katie, but I wanted to note that she was the CONSUMMATE professional. She was very generous with her time and completely understanding and respectful of her needs. I could not have asked for a nicer interaction with someone I couldn't hire and had the circumstances been any different, I would have hired her in an instant. Where some wedding planners will be rude to you once they discover they don't meet your needs (I have interviewed several, between my own wedding and my sister's) Katie was kind and accommodating. I imagine it would be an absolute pleasure to work with her - and I got this read just off of our first interaction! I highly recommend her.
Tijania was a pleasure to have as our wedding day of coordinator. With all the stress that comes from the planning it was a relief to hand off the details that day. And the details went smoothly. We had a 6+ inch snow storm the day of our wedding. That didn't stop her from being on time and ready to go. With all the delays in getting our wedding guests to the church and to the reception she handled schedule adjustments and the various vendors making our wedding come of superbly.
I can't say enough wonderful things about my experience with Robyn and Samantha! At my hair trial, Robyn took the time to get my hair exactly how I wanted. She explained what would and would not work with my hair. On the day of the wedding, she arrived on time and completed my hair and my mom's hair, in addition to 5 bridesmaids. We had plenty of time to spare, and no one felt rushed. Robyn even stayed well after she was done for the photographer to arrive, so that she could pin in the veil after putting on my dress. She showed my sister how to put in and take out the veil without messing up my hair (which ended up being a lifesaver because I sat on my veil on the way to the ceremony and pulled it out!). My hair stayed in place beautifully all night! Samantha made my bridesmaids and I look beautiful with her makeup application skills. When I look back at my wedding photos, I am happy I decided to have my makeup professionally done, rather than doing it myself. It made such a difference! Everyone who had their makeup done loved it. My experience with McHale event planning was amazing. They helped make my special day even better. From the dj who was amazing had everyone on the floor dancing to the decorations as well as the professionalism they showed from start to finish. I wouild recommend this company to anyone that's in the need for a party planner for any type of event the are planning!
I hired Jean to day-of coordinate my wedding this past April. I started talking to her right around the same time that I started getting overwhelmed by wedding planning and she was incredibly helpful. She made me a detailed to do list for the last 4 weeks (I was doing all wedding planning on my own), would check in to help me keep organized, made herself familiar with my other vendors and knew details about the itinerary better than I did at times! She attended the rehearsal and was there all day for me during the wedding. This was actually the first time I met her in person as I was planning from across the country, and she was so warm and became a friend immediately which helped calm my nerves. The one thing I wanted for the day of my wedding was to not worry about anything- and I got my wish thanks to Jean. It rained unexpectedly for photos and our ceremony had to be switched to a different location, but I didn’t have to worry about any of it. She was super organized, had more energy than I did all day, and made sure things went flawlessly even when we had some hiccups. Jean was a dream to work with and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a wedding coordinator or event planner.

I hired Deserve Your Time to help out with my wedding planning. The consultant I worked with was extremely accommodating and supportive throughout the whole process. I tend to stress easily so I was immediately put at ease once I realized that Deserve Your Time had everything under control. Dia was my wedding planner. She did a wonderful job. She was very willing to go above and beyond for me. She did not at any point allow me to get upset or overwhelmed about anything. she had suggestions for me in regards to vendors. She referred me to an AMAZING hairstylist and a place for decorations! I would recommend Du Jour Event Planning to any and everyone! When your trying to get through an event, it becomes much easier when you have someone reliable that will ease your worries! Lauren was a godsend when planning our wedding. I was a clueless bride to be not quite sure what was needed, how to do anything, timelines what were they? She was exactly what we needed when wrangling vendors, hunting for decorations and giving some amazing ideas to make our wedding have its own little uniqueness to it. I would talk to Lauren at least three times a week months before the big day and more frequently as the day got closer. She would check in with us, following up to ensure that we were on task. (Something that we needed.) Lauren would go beyond what the typical planner would do and actually helped make alot of the decorations herself to help us stay within our tight budget. Her ideas were exactly what I was envisioning for our rustic themed fall wedding from the wheat sheath centerpiece to the barndoors and wine barrel decorations. Absolutely beautiful! She also reached out to our vendors, ensuring that they were on top of their tasks–including providing certificates of insurance and final balances. During the week of the wedding, I’m sure we talked to Lauren more than I spoke to anyone else including family. Lol. Lauren created a timeline and revised it with us as necessary. She followed up with all of our vendors, making sure they knew where to go and when. She told all of the vendors to go through her for those pesky last-minute questions. She kept us very relaxed, and made sure that major and minor details were not forgotten! The day before the reception lauren had her amazing team (friends and family) make sure that all of the reception decor (that she had made herself, almost everything...everything!!) was brought to the venue, and that it all arrived in one piece. Spent hours setting up and making sure that all the decor was put in the right place and was PERFECT! If there was a crisis, I can tell you I know nothing of it. She coordinated the clean-up of the venue, at the end of the night and made sure nothing was left behind. She did all of this while remaining calm with a big smile on her face. I can not say nicer things about her! My wedding day would not have been as amazing as it was with out her...no where near it! I probably would have lost my mind f I had to do all of this by myself. So if you are looking for a wedding planner, party planner, or someone to help you with ideas she is your girl and you will not regret it. FabYouBliss saved my sanity and made my day perfect!
