I found Bill a little over a month ago on Thumbtack. I had been looking to take piano lessons for quite some time now, and I was worried I was too old to start at the age of 22 with no experience. I contacted Bill looking to take my first lesson, which was completely free since Bill wanted to give me the opportunity to view his teaching style. I had found that his teaching style was a perfect fit for what I needed. He breaks things down thouroughly and clearly, and he introduces new material based on how far I have progressed. Granted, Bill is not the next Mozart when it comes to classical music however he is incredibly passionate about the music he writes and produces. His written songs are influenced by great artists like Elton John, The Beatles and many other artists of that era. Bill is an advocate for artistic freedom and he believes that music should be played how the musician sees fit. I highly recommend Bill to anyone looking to start out with piano or furhter their previously developed skills, as his lessons are thorough, properly paced, and his prices are incredibly modest. Thanks Bill!

My experience working with Solveig was absolutely great! Solveig is very patient and a great instructor. She works with you to accomplish your goals and is always encouraging and supportive. She is very skilled and has a very strong musical background, making her very knowledgeable in our lessons. Solveig has a very relaxed demeanor which made lessons very pleasant and made learning and focusing on the piano much easier. I would absolutely recommend Solveig for instruction on the piano!

I`ve been taking guitar lessons from Steve for seven weeks now and I find him to be a GREAT teacher and very knowledgeable on everything when it comes to anything related to music. If you want to know anything about a particular instrument or Amp or anything related to music Steve can guide you. I`m an older student and mentally handicapped sometimes ;) and he`s very patient with me. I give him 5 stars and would recommend to him to anyone.

While we have only been attending for about two months, my son has loved his piano lessons. He is eager to go each week and practices daily!! Rosalind has been flexible with our changing summer schedule. My son has learned so much in such a short time.

Adam did a great job teaching me the basics of the keyboard. I have no music background and have never been taught to play an instrument. I wanted to learn 1 song for my wedding. Adam learned the song and wrote the notes for me so I could easily learn them. He was flexible with scheduling and always remembered where we left off even if there were several months between lessons (due to my schedule). He was very patient even when I struggled. I would recommend Adam for keyboard/piano lessons.

Renee Yerger has been my outstanding piano teacher for four years. After I retired from teaching, my husband gave me piano lessons for Mother's Day. Four years later it is the gift that keeps on giving. Learning how to play piano and read music was a lifelong dream. Renee has made that dream possible. She is a talented teacher who clearly loves her vocation. Renee's students know how much she wants them to succeed and they perform well to please her, and themselves. It is a joyous experience to learn music with Renee Yerger.

My child was skeptical about starting piano lessons, but Elise drew her in and got her excited about playing and practicing! She’s helping me brush up my own skills, too. Warm, professional, and willing to work with you where you are.

Sumi Tonooka has been a wonderful piano teacher for my (11 year old) daughter. My daughter had 5 years of piano lessons prior to studying with Sumi and Sumi has really taken my daughter to the next level. Sumi has reinvigorated my daughter's joy for piano by broadening her exposure to music and encouraging her to create her own music. Sumi has also reached out to my daughter to incorporate music that she enjoys along with other more standard lesson material needed to develop her skills as a pianist. We have been so please with Sumi's instruction with my daughter that my (6 year old) son is beginning to study the piano with Sumi this week! I highly recommend Sumi to any family with a child that is interested in piano.

Larry is a great teacher. He teaches the importance of scales using a keyboard as a means to help my daughter learn the guitar better. She is currently practicing in our keyboard downstairs.

Dan is one of the most talented and thoughtful musicians I've ever met, as well as an especially astute teacher. Whether you're an old hand or just starting out, Dan knows how to make jam sessions fun and can suit a wide variety of interests, from pop, to hard rock, to jazz and more. I would highly recommend him for guitar lessons above anyone else.

Danton has been an incredible gift to our family. We have gone through more piano teachers than I can count. My 14yo daughter actually quit piano and only decided to start again when she met Danton. My 8yo cried every time his other piano teachers show up, but when I tell him Danton is coming, he says, "Oh good!" (I think this is related to Danton using a blindfold during lessons. My 14yo son is taking bass lessons with Danton, and I can't express the joy I feel watching the two of them jam. Danton is cool. He is punctual. He is friendly. And he is also a great teacher. I am soooooo grateful we found him!

We have been taking piano lessons from Mrs. Kerry for over 4 years. We appreciate her recognizing that every child learns differently, that children typically have more than one after school activity, and that patience and hard work make successful students. We highly recommend her for your child; but note, she teaches students of all ages! She continues her own piano learning and passes her new techniques to her students. We thank Mrs. Kerry for her time and patience, our girls enjoy her lessons each week.

Allison taught my daughter for 4 years. We found her to be patient and nurturing, and she was able to keep my daughter motivated, which is not always easy, since my daughter quickly becomes frustrated when things don't come to her right away. Allison is great with kids and has a knack for keeping lessons fun, even while she's challenging students to be their best. The recitals were a real highlight for us. They gave our daughter a real goal to work for, and as we got to know the other families over the years, it was fun to watch their kids improving too.

If you're looking for an experienced and skillful pianist Gail Busch would be great for that position. Mrs. Gail is very friendly, welcoming and on-point when it comes to her piano lessons. From my experience with her, the piano lessons she provides begins with the basics if you're beginner. As you learn and practice the music and techniques, the music will gradually advance based on your progress in her lessons. So as a young beginner pianist, I recommend Mrs. Gail as an excellent pianist with lots of experience and her piano lessons as well. (っ^▿^)
