My husband and I undertook 36 hours of guitar lessons with John over a 2 week period, mostly together, which was in itself a challenge! We were also beginners and John treated us with the utmost respect and we never felt like 'fools'. The time we have spent with John will ultimately make the difference between us being enthusiastic guitar players, which I know we will be, and not feeling like failures and losing interest, which could well have happened if we had not discovered John. So for those of you looking for a fantastic, enthusiastic (and Beatles fan) teacher, don't hesitate to contact John Pennell in Nashville. We highly recommend him.
Beginner piano lessons. Camee is friendly and low stress! Lots of fun and I've signed up for more lessons.

What a wonderful place for music lessons and the instructors are so very talented!!
I have never met someone with as much patience as Mr. Buddy does. If your looking to take guitar lessons or lessons for your children, look no further. Mr. Buddy is the absolute best!
I am one of Mark's older students. I decided to learn to play guitar a little late in life. I actually ran into Mark while purchasing my guitar, so when I found out he taught lesson, I decided to give him a try, and contacted him for a lesson. I explained to him that I have no musical background. Can't even read music, but Mark told me it is not too late, and don't worry about reading music right now. He taught me tablature, so I was able to play the intro to Sweet Home Alabama during our first lesson. I've been taking guitar lessons with Mark for the last year. I really enjoy them. Mark makes learning easy. He is comfortable to be around, and he keeps the pace at your level. Mark is very encouraging to his students. He is great at listening to a song, and showing you how to play it at your skill level. He even got me to play the electric guitar a few weeks ago, which I had no desire to do. (I prefer the sweet sound of the acoustic guitar.) To my surprise, I actually liked it. The lessons are pretty much about you. Mark will ask if you had any problems with something you learned in the last lesson and take the time to work on it more with you, or encourage you to try a different song, which will teach more chords, or how to be more efficient on finger movement. If you have a favorite song, Mark will help you learn to play it. Mark is a walking guitar encyclopedia, and really knows and understands music! Mark is very flexible and accommodating with his appointments. My lessons are usually around 8:30pm due to my work schedule, which is great for me. I would definitely recommend Mark as an instructor!
Bryce is awesome! Our 18yo son has been taking guitar lessons from Bryce for several years now and has always walked away from each lesson excited about some new technique or inspired to try a new song. Besides being a thorough and innovative teaching musician, Bryce has also been a wonderful mentor friend to our son. Our son has grown so much over the years in both confidence & ability under Bryce’s encouraging & creative teaching style. I highly recommend Bryce to anyone looking for a grounded, yet cutting edge musical instructor.
Incredibly thorough and nurturing. I have worked with Mr. Jake on both my EP and also with guitar lessons. He is both patient and very efficient. Everything we have worked on his been perfectly aligned with my interests and talents, and he's also just so fun to work with. Highly highly recommend!
I was excited about learning to play guitar, but how to begin was the problem. First, Denny called; his personality was warm and calming. He was very confident in his abilities, stated as a matter of fact, but does not major on that; he stayed focused on me, as a beginner, and how he could best serve my needs. From meeting me at the music store and providing guidance with my first guitar purchase through my first lesson, Denny provided gentle guidance and helped build my confidence. After the first lesson, I was able to play chords clearly and even had others to learn during my independent practice. I am very grateful I chose Denny as the professional to begin my new journey with. If you seriously want to learn how to play and enjoy your guitar experience, you owe it to yourself to get in contact with Denny.
Liam is an awesome guitar teacher! I started as a beginner with Liam, and he was a great person to learn the basics from! He clearly learned a lot during his time at Berklee, and was able to pass a long a lot of great knowledge to me. Definitely recommend!
Having little experience in guitar, Skot was able in one lesson to teach me a 5 chord song using some tricks and easy transitions used my todays top platers. I highly recommend him.
My daughter started taking guitar lessons with Willie when she was five. He is very patient and has a great style of teaching. We've been extremely pleased with all she's learned over the past year. Highly recommend him as a teacher for anyone wanting to learn to play.
I wanted voice lessons as I have been playing guitar for 11 years but my voice sounded like a tractor. I will admit, I was extremely nervous about my lack of ability to sing, but after meeting with Kameri the first time, she made me feel very relaxed and excited to learn. She does a great job starting of teaching and has deep knowledge of music, and at the same time, made me feel warm and confident in myself. I'm no Luke Bryan but I have come a long way work with Kameri. Highly recommend.
Andrew is one of the most reliable, considerate and ridiculously talented humans I know... I took guitar lessons with him for a while and would have continued if he hasn't moved to Nashville to become a real life rock star! He has quite a repertoire of music he is both familiar and well versed in, from Spanish to rock to worship to classical. Andrew has a wide range of not only guitar knowledge, but of music theory and composition knowledge as well. Whereas, some guitar teachers can teach you how to play chords or learn a riff from a song, Andrew can actually help you become a better and more well rounded musician.
Adam is an exceptionally talented musician and guitar instructor whos nurtured his craft through years of practice and study. With a broad knowledge of electric and acoustic guitar styles across different styles and genres, his instruction will inspire, motivate and help unlock a students hidden potential.
My 11 year old daughter has taken weekly lessons via FaceTime with David Parker for the last 12 months. She has progressed a lot and looks forward to each new lesson. She plays in our church band and has improved a lot over the past year. She started out playing acoustic only but has picked up electric guitar as well over the last 7 months. David has been great at teaching her both types of guitar. He is very good at asking her what type of music she likes to play, and then uses his lessons and drills to get her to play challenging songs that she likes. I would reccommend David to anyone looking for lessons whether beginner, intermediate, or expert and in person or online.
I used to really struggle with playing guitar. I could never make any of my chord and note transitions without being choppy. AJ taught me how to play correctly, accurately, and smoothly. One of the best in Nashville!
Just had my first lesson and it was fantastic! I am a100% beginner. Fred is so easy to learn from, he broke everything down and made it easy to understand. I learned more from him in 30 minutes than I have for the last week watching videos on my own. I already know a few cords to a song and had gotten more comfortable with them before the end of the lesson. I am so excited to see how much better I get as the lessons progress! I would definitely recommend Fred if you have always wanted to learn guitar!
Tara Tinsley is extremely talented! She also has the upmost patience while teaching. I am a beginner at the guitar, and if there was a word to describe "less a than beginner," that would be me. She went at my own pace because obviously I am very slow to switch between chords. I have taken a couple lessons so far and as long as I practice what she teaches at home I know I will be able to play songs in no time. I would recommend her to anybody for guitar lessons. Her office is in a great, historic building in downtown Tacoma. It is a professional office building with free street parking close by (which is almost impossible to find downtown). The lobby has seating for students and/or parents to wait. For parents that don't want to wait inside, there is a coffee and wine bar a block away! If anyone is skeptical she has music on YouTube and Spotify. Check it out and I know you will be convinced to learn from her!
Most people teach fundamentals so they can show you how to play songs. I teach you the songs first and use them as fun ways to build your skills.
Glenn Ziser puts emphasis on music theory to get his students to see the big picture on how music works. He has over 15 years' experience teaching students to play the guitars, drums, and percussion.
Brian Bush has been playing both guitar and banjo professionally. His classes are open to everyone in all skill levels. He has been teaching guitar lessons for over 27 years now.
I play guitar, and I'm trying to help beginners learn the basics! I've been playing for four or five years, and I am taking my playing to the next level!
