Introduction: I'm here so that your wedding day runs smoothly. I've found that every wedding and every couple is very different, so my goal is to cater to the diverse personalities, dynamics, vendors, and settings so they come together and create the day you've dreamed of! I work well under pressure, and enjoy creating order out of chaos. What I didn't know, and what most brides don't know until after the fact (hindsight is always 20/20...), is that what you really need in a wedding planner is someone who is organized and in control, but who does everything under the radar, catering to your specific personality throughout the planning and wedding day. Holly was the perfect combination of exactly what I needed during what can be a stressful time for brides. She was in control throughout the whole process and made sure nothing was forgotten or untimely, yet maintained a calm and comforting demeanor through it all. I can honestly say that our wedding day would not have gone nearly as smoothly as it did without her help and support, and would recommend her to any bride!

Hollys incredible organizational skills, poise, and the sense of calm she brought to the planning and execution process for our wedding in DC gave me and my husband the peace of mind that allowed us to pour a glass of champagne and really enjoy our wedding day in a way that I never would have thought possible. Leading up to the wedding, Holly knew exactly the right questions to ask, made wonderful suggestions on details I never would have thought about, and coordinated seamlessly with a host of vendors, allowing me to completely put such details from my mind. Each time we spoke, Holly put me at ease by being so calm and yet so on the ball; she absolutely has the right touch in communicating with brides who are juggling so much already. The day of the wedding, everything went off without a single hitch thanks to Holly. Holly seemed to magically appear whenever we needed her, had the most flexible approach to making sure timing and details came together, and operated perfectly behind the scenes. I never once had a vendor or the venue staff approach me with a question or issue that needed to be handled, and it was amazingly wonderful to simply be able to focus on family, friends, and having a good time. I felt so calm and at ease the day of the weddingso much so that family and guests commented on it laterand thats all thanks to Holly. Future brides out there, look no further than Holly Parks!

Holly was incredibly helpful in asking questions that were not on my very thorough list, and made passing things off to her very comfortable. The vendors have all commented that they would choose her every time. She was amazing at navigating delicate waters with all parties involved, and I trusted her completely to make last minute day of decisions that were incredibly professional, discerning, and instrumental in making the day an amazing blessing. One added observation - she has a wonderful grace and elegance about her that made her seem more like a guest at the wedding. She would signaled you in passing as to what was coming next, rather than running around in an "in-charge" manner. She is a real treasure!

Holly is the reason I look back on my wedding day with the thought "I wouldn't have changed a thing". From our initial conversation in the engagement period to the day of the wedding, I had full confidence in her and never had a reason to worry that something might go wrong. In the planning portion, she did a fabulous job of touching base when we needed to, always being respectful of my time, and letting me choose how much I wanted her to do and how much I wanted to keep on my own plate. I was very impressed that she recognized some brides have less anxiety when they still have control of some parts of the planning. I used to be one of those people, but I am so glad I learned to let go of the reins and let Holly take it. Because of our talks, she knew not only what I wanted, but who I was as a bride. She could take over conversations with vendors and guests without coming to me with every little detail. On the day of the wedding, even with a severe thunderstorm that delayed the ceremony and trapped guests in their cars, she had a very calm demeanor, and it had a positive impact on everyone involved with the wedding. She has a true gift to be able to professionally keep the flow going, but with a demeanor that is calm and quiet. She is not a coordinator who shouts demands and herds you from one place to another. She is gentle in transitions and does all of the work so that even mothers of the bride and groom can enjoy the day instead of running around. Because of Holly, my mom, my mother in law, and myself were all able to take in the incredible holiness and wonderfulness of my wedding without once thinking about what was going on behind the scenes. She is flawless, professional, gentle, organized, and most importantly, passionate about what she does. You feel like you are the only bride she is helping during the process, and that is a gift. I can't speak highly enough of Holly and would recommend her to anyone looking for that perfect coordinator who can make their wedding day more than what they hoped for.

Holly is an incredible asset to brides and also vendors! As a photographer, she made the day run so smoothly for me. From clearing up last minute issues to keeping everyone calm and relaxed, to making sure everything stayed on schedule - her patience, graceful presence and joy throughout the day was an immense blessing to everyone involved with the wedding! How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was a violin major in college and my friends and I played more weddings than we could count. I always loved seeing all the different ceremonies and receptions, and hearing the beautiful stories week after week. I fell into day-of coordinating when a couple friends' wedding days arrived and they needed someone to step in last minute and help keep the day organized. I quickly realized how much I love the job, and the rest is history!
