Got HVAC Heroes to replace my existing HVAC system with a new one
in September 2023. HVAC Heroes had both air conditioning and heating replaced. They had a contract for 2 years of labor service
In October when the temperatures started to fall, my heater was not working and did not warm up the house. The technician came in and replaced the zoning system and charged me an additional large amount.
Even after that, the heater is not working. I have tried to follow up with their technician and their office to help get someone to come and fix the issue. I am not getting any response or help to resolve the issue
I would give -1 rating to them if possible. With faulty installation from the beginning and not helping to fix or resolve the issue, it has been a nightmare to deal with this vendor.
Update: After looking at the response from HVAC Heroes, would like to point out that their technician had recommended zone system replacement. And i went ahead with those changes and paid an additional ~$1000 as per their recommendations. Which has still not fixed the issue. And then after numerous follow-ups, no one has picked up calls or responded to texts.
So be aware of dealing with this vendor as they will leave you dry and do not provide any resolution. Even after signing a maintenance contract of 2 years.

Woke up this morning to the temp being a few degrees higher than the setting on the thermostat, contacted HVAC Heroes, Chase got out to us within a couple of hours, traced it to a blown capacitor and had it replaced and working within a half hour. Really impressed and will be looking to them when we get our aging system replaced!

PT Maintenance responded quickly to my request and sent a technician out the same morning. Pete was very professional and explained my options through every step of the diagnosis. He let me know the cost of the various options and answered all my HVAC questions about other parts of our system. He got our AC back up quickly (was the fan motor as well as capacitor) and I highly recommend PT Maintenance and Pete!

The guy was efficient and followed standard procedure. He saw bit oil in water pan ( few drops may be) and believed there is a leak in coil. It might be true in most cases. I am not very sure he did look at coil. I did look at coil and I couldn't find oil on coil but found oil on copper pipe connecting to coil which made me suspicious if the leak is with coil. I am no way expert but has dealt with HVAC issues in the past and have learned tiny bit talking with few technician. I believe he should have recommended more diagnostic test to locate leak as I am not convinced the leak is with coil and wanted just more convincing data to believe. If the leak is not with the coil and we replace the coil which costs good amount of money then I'll be stuck once again after few months. The problem is tiny leak won't show the problem immediately once you fill Freon as it takes sometime for AC to stop working due to tiny leak would require time to leak out Freon. At that time no one is going to help me and would be considered new issue. I am not telling there was anything wrong with company or person who did try to fix the problem. I just wanted him to prove the leak is in the coil and not somewhere else. My intention is not trying to harm business with not so good reviews but would like them to do better and help customers during this hot time. Thank you.
