She has acted both as writer and editor on many of my documents/projects and she has been extraordinary in her attention to detail and her ability to tailor the message to the audience. I would unreservedly use her again at the first opportunity. With both the ability to cut through verbose prose and deliver a focused message, and a professional attitude and approach to all facets of the process she is a top performer in my book.. She combines business expertise and people skills in a way that is unusual in the marketplace of document professionals. Engage Donna as a pivotal resource in your next project you will not be disappointed.
Debbie was very professional in her approach to handling my book. She also provided a soothing voice which is helpful since this was my first book. She was prompt with her responses and got my material back to me in a timely manner. This is what an editor should be.

I used Dr. T's writing services for my thesis and the results were more than satisfactory. She is a mentor, coach, and an awesome academic writer. Highly recommend her!
Robert is very easy to work with. He is a very good editor and has a keen eye for ways to make a manuscript shine. Thank you so much, Robert? I really appreciate you.
I have worked with delmetria millener for several years and I find her work to be creative and thorough. Even though the process can be painful as she wields her pen as a sword, she is one of the best editors I know!
Stephen is a great editor very tenacious while still being personable. I cannot say enough good things about his work.
I came to Carolin with the task of helping me edit the first chapter of a contemporary fantasy that I am currently working on. This was my first time using Thumbtack, and at the time, I was trying to pick between considerably decent editors who reached out to me and said that they could help. Carolin, however, stood out to me because right from the start, she wanted to get a sense of what she was going to be looking at, and she went as far as to work with me to come to an affordable price since we previously never worked together. That made it clear to me that Carolin was more concerned with my experience than the money she would get out of it. After emailing her the piece, she CONSTANTLY kept me updated on how far along she was in the editing process. She was careful to set apart time for us to go through the entire chapter (and her notes) over the course of two phone calls. Her attention to detail is impeccable. While explaining her edits, she was mindful of maintaining the same voice throughout the chapter, she was kind and unopposed to my thoughts on her comments. She was also very encouraging and supportive of my writing, quick to ask questions, show interest, and give appraisal where she felt it was necessary. I would recommend her 10+ times, and I plan on sharing more of my work with her.
I provide fast and accurate writing and editing services. I edit all types of manuscripts, including articles.

I recently completed my very first non-fiction piece of which I am so ready to launch into the world. I am a published book editor, and have also been published in 8 magazines and countless newspapers across the greater Dallas/Fort Worth Area. I held the title of lead journalist for The River News Herald, a newspaper in Northern California. I offer a wide variety of writing and ghostwriting services. I find great satisfaction in editing others' life work. Seeing your written work move through editing and onto publication with my guidance makes all of the hard work worth doing. I have an insider's view into the medical society as I am a cancer survivor. I hold medical trial and tribulations in extra high regards. I also worked in a corporate office as a copywriter and editor for a marketing firm for two years. During this time, and throughout high school and college, I tutored English, reading comprehension, writing, and I am a freelance writer for Lance Armstrong's website Livestrong.com, where I write articles for on health and outdoor activities. I love to read. In particular I have a passion with Russian literature. Someone once said, if you love what you do, you'll never work another day in your life, and my passion is found within words; constructing them, deconstructing them and placing them in an arrangement that can make ordinary men into giants and leaders to mankind. To quote a song lyric by a band called Modest Mouse, "Language is the liquid that were all dissolved in, great for fixin' problems after they create the problems."
I am an extremely experienced, highly-skilled editor, managing editor, associate editor, writer and proofreader offering services for all types of media, including medical journals/writing. I am a freelance editor. I enjoy helping others in refining their writing through proofreading and editing. I also very much enjoy helping others learn, understand, and become overall more proficient in the English language through tutoring. I have a Bachelor's degree in English from SMU and a Technical Writing certificate from UT Arlington.
I have worked as a writing tutor for the past three and a half years at the University of Dallas, and I am also an editor for the University's graduate journal. Because of my background, I have expertise in grammar, sentence structure, style, organization, and arguments. I can also edit creative writing projects.
As a demonstrated writer, proofreader, and editor, my primary objective has been to elevate the standard of all writing through constructive and conceptual analysis, ensuring grammatical perfection, and maintaining the authorâs original intent while adhering to company and style guidelines.
I have 30 years experience!
I am a professional writer, editor, designer, and production artist with heavy branding experience -- basically, I am an entire creative shop in a single pair of flip flops. Just as importantly, my overhead is low and I am able to offer a very reasonable hourly rate. I have experience in newspaper, advertising, corporate marketing and positioning, and grass roots promotions. I have varied interests and clients so my project list for a day could include: social media for a local animal rescue, print brochure for a prestigious law school event, sustainability report for a recycling company, and a website rewrite for a Baptist church. You just never know how many pies you get to stick your hands in over the course of a day, and that's how freelance really stokes my creative fire. My clients appreciate that I submerge myself in their projects, as well as their industry, so that I can make informed decisions and offer constructive input when working on projects. Clients also take comfort in the fact that I am maniacally meticulous -- I refuse to allow any work to leave my hard drive before it is crafted to perfection and dead-on in strategy.
25 years + - including executive assistant, assistant editor, marketing assistant. Recently retired from university.
I'm an entrepreneur and connoisseur of many trades (financial services, energy broker, writing, network marketing opportunities, etc) with an extreme attention to detail and a passion for helping others. I'm a proficient reader and editor with a voracious appetite for the written word and a keen mathematical brain (hence my work with investing and finance). Music is what sustains me and allows me to utilize my mathematical and lyrical sides together during composition. Some people describe me as a jack of all trades but I like to think of myself as having a constantly growing knowledge of the world around me. Ask me anything and If I don't know the answer I'll find out or find someone who will know. Thanks!

I've worked as a copy editor and proofreader for six years in both corporate and freelance roles with fiction and nonfiction projects (novels, ebooks, short stories, website copy, articles, etc.). I have extensive experience with The Chicago Manual of Style and other in-house style guides. I also write in my free time, and I attend a weekly critique group and an annual writers' conference. Whether in corporate, freelance, or personal work, my goal is always the same: to produce the highest quality documents that meet style expectations so that the author's unique voice shines through.
