I hired Trey to provide guitar lessons as I was teaching myself for the past couple years & had run into a plateau of not really being able to improve past playing a few chords. Trey has an incredible way of teaching as he really knows his stuff & can read people quite well. I appreciate how he takes the time to get to know you as a person & as a musician. After my first lesson, I felt improvement immediately and am eager to continue to better skills. The only 'could be better' is he makes it a point to explain the 'why' as to what you're doing. It's perfect for beginners & I think this is incredibly necessary however for me - I need more assistance in the instruction & walking through the exercises - which he has made a wonderful adjustment to working with me the way I need to be taught. So even the only 1 possible place of improvement for this amazing musician and teacher has already been fixed/improved via my lesson #2. Aside: I have a plethora of family & friends who are musicians who have tried to 'teach me' in the past and it never really clicked. Trey is beyond phenomenal as he not only knows his craft of being a well-rounded musician, but also a people-person & wonderful teacher. Not everyone is meant to be a teacher but I honestly feel like I struck gold with Trey.

My 10 year old was getting bored with his previous instructor's teaching methods and had been begging us to drop guitar lessons. We thought we would try a different instructor. We've had only one meeting, but I saw a light reappear in my son's eyes and he is excited to start lessons with Jon. The video lessons and use of newer computer technology and has my son excited and motivated to keep learning to play.

I can not speak highly enough of Willy, I'm loving his lessons and he really has a great way of building your skills and enjoyment for the guitar. Before Willy came to teach me, I tried teaching myself but lost a bit of interest getting stuck trying to use youtube and other tools to learn the guitar. With Willy, he quickly assesses where you are at and will tailor the lessons to develop your skills in a challenging but fun way, such that you're always learning and enjoying the experience. Everyone trying to learn the guitar should have Willy come teach them!

I contacted Warren several months ago about having a special circumstance with timing as I was coming to visit family members in the Dallas area. I needed to have as many lessons as possible over a 1 month period that I could handle before returning to another state and city where good guitar teachers are few and far in-between. I had 10 years of piano as a child and young teen, and only three guitar lessons as a teen. I had no idea how to really apply piano theory to the guitar, and was at a point I wanted to do more only having about 95% efficiency in basic chords. After a month of Warren working my fingers off I actually have a much better understanding of where I need to continue to go in order to reach a higher level in my playing! I feel that his knowledge and ability to explain things has made that possible. Whenever I didn’t understand, I never had a concern about asking him to re-explain, and he never acted as if that was any imposition. I would recommend Warren to anyone that was looking for someone to give them a solid base in guitar theory and application. I will be back for more help anytime I am able to make my way back to Dallas, hopefully building on the steps he has shown me in between. Warren is a good solid teacher and an all around really nice person. KC Hernandez

Ben is one of the best guitar instructors I've had the pleasure of working with for over a year now. Not only is he an excellent instructor he's a first rate studio musician caliber talent as well. He received his degree in guitar from college in California. As his student I've benefited from his expertise and the skills he learned there. Ben brings patience and encouragement that is important for beginner students to have in an instructor. He's fun to work with and I always look forward to jamming and learning from him. If you are considering either beginning guitar lessons or furthering skills you may already have let Ben Hefley help you get to that next level.

Our daughter has taken bass guitar lessons from Joel for the last 2 years. She has improved greatly under his direction. He is very encouraging and positive, but at the same time gives great corrections for improvement. Would definitely recommend him.

I have been taking acoustic guitar lessons on a weekly basis from Mark for several years. As a working student in my twenties, Mark has successfully transitioned the style and structure of my lessons to my practice schedule. As my schedule has shifted, I can honestly say that the more aspects of the program you are able to take part in, the faster you will achieve results. Overall, I am very pleased with my progress and growth and highly recommend Promethean Studios for music lessons in the Dallas area.

My daughter began taking piano lessons from Dallas Music Academy 2 years ago when she was 6 1/2 years old. Her ability to read music, play the piano, and understand the theory part since beginning the lessons are incredible. Her teachers, Dr. Tolosa and Raquel Rigotti, are extremely talented and gifted teachers who show patience and encouragement to their students. They have high expectations of their students which is a great advantage. We are very pleased with our daughter's progress and look forward to her future musical accomplishments as a result of her ongoing training at Dallas Music Academy.

As Mr Chris Mauro says, " I play guitar because it is who I am". That is what caught my attention , and what attracted me to hire him. Chris came home every week to give guitar lessons to my 9 year old son. And he is very flexible and willing to accomodate you if ever you need to postpone a lesson. As a parent, I really appreciate it. Chris's passion for playing guitar reflects around him. He makes it fun, joyful for my son to learn guitar and he takes into account the type of music my son likes to listen to and to play. My son told me that Chris is very inspiring for him, and motivates and encourages him at every lessons. Thank you Chris. As a pianist myself, I believe that being able to play a music instrument is a gift in a life, And you made my son love playing guitar. Thank you! Marie D (Allen,tx)

I have been consistently blown away by my vocal lessons, and my guitar lessons, every single week. Both of these teachers come to my house to teach me my lessons, and both of them are top notch admirable professionals. I feel like I’m learning the world!

We are very happy with Kevin, he has been very helpful and patient with our son and that is a plus. It's been three lessons already and our son is getting the hang of it, and is interested in learning to play. Kevin is very responsible, proper and has been very flexible in willing to come to our home to teach. I like his teaching style, so so far so good!

Our eight year old grandson is taking guitar lessons from Ian. I sit and listen in another room during the guitar lesson and have found Ian will recommend a viable solution to any frustration encountered by our grandson during the lesson. Ian is very patient and moves the lessons along when needed or slows the lessons down when there is a skill set needing to be accomplished for progress. During a recent lesson I overheard our grandson say "This is going to be fun" when he heard the next song Ian was teaching him. He was so excited about the lesson he memorized it before he went home to play it for his parents. Our grandson is always ready for his next guitar lesson with Mr. Ian.

Try this enterprise if you need to hire music teachers who provide guitar theory lessons. Their extensive music tutorials will certainly elevate your abilities in less time.

Christian Music Foundation is taught in guitar, piano, bass, drums, voice, 5-string banjo, and songwriting. I have been teaching since 1965 to all ages. Lessons are purchased in sets of four 45-minute lessons for $100.00 (not by the month). Also, I teach radio voice over. This course is a career course and is of the same price.

I am a life-long musician with a passion for teaching students the guitar and helping songwriters achieve their goals. I have a degree from the Berklee College of Music in Boston and have been teaching guitar lessons since 2006. I am a songwriter myself and play all over the US and the world under the name 'Troy Cartwright'. I have played guitar for almost 10 years now and have been writing songs for almost as long. My customers love my approach to teaching. I like to make it fun for the students and to teach based on their passions. If there is a song you really like, I'll try and take pieces of that song and teach the material that way. I'm not one of those teachers who tries to force musical knowledge into your brain by playing scales over and over again. That's not fun for you or for me.

I teach to a broad range of skill levels, from the first-time beginner desiring a standard method approach to the experienced player wanting improvement in specific areas. Stephen holds a bachelor's degree in jazz guitar and a master's degree in classical guitar performance from the University of North Texas. In addition to his eighteen years of private studio teaching, he's also served five years as a graduate teaching fellow at UNT, seven years at Tarrant County College, and two years at Dallas County Community College District. He is available to teach in studio, or can travel to you. You may also enroll to study with him (at significantly reduced cost) through Brookhaven College in Farmers Branch.

I offer competitive pricing for a passionate teacher. I teach electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and music theory/composition lessons. I can teach you how to play your favorite songs, but I could also dive in and show you what's really happening in the music. I can teach fundamental music theory knowledge, standard notation reading skills, and an understanding of the guitar fingerboard in a simple, fun way. These topics seem intimidating to many beginners, but they can be easily explained and applied step-by-step so you can get to making music right away. I am not the teacher that is going to drill you on scales for an hour. We will start playing real music right away and each lesson will give you another tool with which to make more music. Because in the end of the day, playing songs and having fun is what it's all about.
