Eugene was my wedding photographer. After meet so many others photographers I think that he is the best one that I could ever had, as a professional and as a person. He found out how to make me smile, I'm so shy that I thought "It's gonna be tough", I saw all his photos and the bride always looks like a model! "I'm gonna ruin the photo shoot" I said. Well It didn't happened, I felt super comfortable, I was very happy that everything went so natural. And the results... Outstanding! I think he has a gift. He captures genuine emotions with his camera not just people. Btw I consider him as a friend now, and I'm sure that you will too. If you want to be sure that the best day of your life is going to be safe for the memories and the future... Hire him, you won't regret.

Nathan Colbert, photographer - Is much more concerned about quality than nickel-and-dime-ing like a lot of photographers. He came to our wedding and we were running late, so we did not get a chance for posing - but Nathan got a great number of candid photographs. He produced a quality book and gave us access to a website with all the candid shots. Everything was terrific quality at a very reasonable price. Dan and Loren

I am the publisher of LIFE IS GOOD! Magazine, a health and wellness publication located in Houston, TX. Marta Brown has been my graphic designer for the past two plus years. It is an absolute pleasure to work closely with her on each issue--she is very talented in her field and her creative work for me is outstanding. I find her to be an honest, hardworking and caring woman of integrity and her work ethic is also bar none.

As an author I know the extreme value of an artistic book cover. A great cover design captures a reader's eye and draws them in before they ever read a word of the novel's description. "BCR" not only created several fantastic book covers for me, but assisted with social media marketing advice to further get my novels out to the public and establish a professional platform. Today's competitive business world demands our best at all times and I have no reservations in recommending "BCR" for quality work.

This was my daughter's first professional photo session, I was a little nervous on what to expect. I had no clue what she was going to wear, I asked Tina for input and she gave me some great ideas. The session went GREAT, Tina was very patient with my daughter as she was 8 months old at the time not to mention she started to get fussy, she didn't rush, she took her time , asked if those were enough photos. She did an AWESOME job! I will continue to book sessions with her!

I am so happy with the work that Lisa and her team have done for our business. We were in need of complete rebranding and had Zero internet presence. We were feeling very discouraged as running the business was taking all of our time and energy and marketing was getting pushed aside.  Lisa's team helped us come up with clean and modern logo,  a beautiful website and face book and other social media pages we could be proud of.  All of this gave us a new burst of energy and excitement in growing our business. We are so grateful for her knowledge and drive to get the job done.

How do you hire a good grant writer?

Grants are available to nonprofit organizations, for-profit businesses that qualify for government grants, and individuals who qualify for foundation or government grants. Hiring a good grant writer can help you gain funding in your chosen field. According to the American Grant Writers’ Association, grant writers can help you research potential grant opportunities; write grant proposals, create budgets, and build budget narratives; review written materials before you submit; prepare a business plan; analyze your organization for grant competitive qualities; prepare research grants; help with 501(c)(3) applications for nonprofits; and more. Investing in the right grant writer could result in a financial win for your organization. Generally no licenses or certificates are required to be a good grant writer, but you may want to find a grant writer who has been certified (not just received a certificate of completion) by a reputable organization such as the Grant Professionals Certification Institute. Qualities to look for in a good grant writer include:

          • Proven success writing winning grants, especially in your target area.
          • Strong writing skills.
          • Strong math skills and demonstrated proficiency with budgeting.
          • Careful attention to detail — brilliant grant proposals may be rejected just for formatting errors, so you want someone who follows instructions explicitly.
          • Expertise in your target area.
          • Punctuality and good communication skills.

How much does a grant writer cost?

Hiring a grant writer can give you a competitive edge when applying for financial grants for your business or nonprofit organization, or as an individual. The cost to hire a grant writer can vary depending on their academic background, areas of expertise, previous grant writing success and years of experience. According to the Grant Professionals Association, grant writers should be paid hourly or by flat fee. It is unethical for a grant writer to accept a commission or percentage compensation of grant monies received. They can, however, be awarded bonuses in line with the hiring company’s prevailing practices. Here are some examples of average grant writing fees:

          • Hourly rate for grant writers with less experience or fewer grants awarded: $25-$35 per hour.
          • Hourly rate for grant writers with some degree of success: $35-$75 per hour.
          • Hourly rate for grant writers with proven success winning large grants: $75-$150 or more per hour.
          • For a smaller grant, the writer may charge a flat fee of $200-$500 for preparation and submission.

Pricing may also vary based on the complexity of the grant application. A federal grant that requires pages of research, budgets and a business plan may take more than 30 hours to prepare. For a high-level grant writer who charges $100 per hour, this means $3,000 or more in grant writing fees.

Most grant writers will provide you with a total cost estimate before agreeing to the work. You may be required to pay a deposit up front, or the grant writer may work from a retainer. Often, seasoned grant writers pay for themselves in the long run by writing successful grants.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
