Jill was great and was able to help me start from scratch learning both the piano and how to read music. I would recommend her for anyone wanting to learn the piano!
My 13-year-old has been taking piano lessons with Taylor for almost a year now. He is an excellent teacher, especially on modern/jazz methods. He is patient, encouraging and challenging at the same time. He provides regular feedback to parents on progress.
I started going to Dolce for violin lessons as a beginner. They have been incredibly helpful and friendly through the entire process. The cost is very competitive and the instructor quality is outstanding making it the best value by far. It was immediately clear to me that the environment is passionate about teaching music and not just a business to make money.
My son started taking piano lessons with Kay about four months ago after his previous instructor moved. He was a bit worried about getting a new teacher, as he was very close with the previous one, but that worry soon melted away when he met Kay. She is enthusiastic and kind, and makes the lessons fun. My son says he really enjoys his lessons with her and she has helped bring his playing to a new level. We're so grateful to have such a wonderful and caring new teacher.
Although Kristen specializes in teaching kids, she also is a great teacher for adult piano learners. We meet weekly for about 30 minutes. 30 minutes seems short, but it is actually quite adequate for a beginning piano player. I am impressed and glad I found Kristen. I look forward to continuing learning with her.
Andrew is a masterful musician. He has a great sense of humor and tremendous patience. He is able to convey a lot of information and make learning the violin fun.
My 11 year old son began taking piano lessons with Mrs. Melanie Richards approximately 3.5 years ago when he was only 7. He has amazed us on how much progress he has made since he began taking lessons with Melanie. She is patient yet sets expectations for their learning progress. Not only does she teach how to play the piano but what my son also enjoys very much is the music history lessons she provides regarding a piece of music and composer. She is knowledgeable and is a great teacher and we highly recommend her.
I have been taking guitar lessons from Nick recently, and he is great! Very patient and explains things in a way I can understand. Doesn't jump down your throat the way some instructors do. Know he also teaches voice and keyboard lessons, and believe they'd be a good bet too. I would definitely recommend him!!
Randal is an outstanding and professional musician and teacher. Randal taught me about music theory, harmony, performing with a group, and musicianship. I strongly recommend taking lessons from Randal and feel he's one of the best in the area. Call him today!
Kimberly was great! Played old timey saloon piano for our event and she did an amazing job!
I am an absolute beginner and Evelyn has been doing a great job in her Piano lessons. She works with me patiently , understands the problems faced by a person with no musical knowledge and guides me at each step . I am very pleased with her lessons.
I first met Deuce when he came to conduct a rehearsal at my studio. I heard the band throughout and was incredibly impressed by Deuce’s virtuoso abilities on the guitar. I was also equally impressed with the way he interacted with his band mates. He seemed very easy to work with and open to suggestions. I later had the opportunity to actually play with him in another band for a gig and everything I thought I had observed before was confirmed. If you are looking for a guitar teacher, you would be in great hands learning from Deuce.
Sarah taught my forth child piano lessons for a year before she moved out of the area. My daughter loved her. Sarah's lessons were fun. Jess progressed quicker then her brothers because she actually enjoyed what she was learning. Sarah is excellent teaching all aspects of playing such as form, therory, technique, and how to correct errors. I really enjoyed listening to Sarah play because she plays with passion and my daughter was able to pick up on that too.
As an adult starting piano lessons again after (eep!) 3 decades, I have to say that studying at McLaughlin School of Music has been a very gratifying experience. My teacher David Mesquitic has just the right touch. He is able to both encourage and challenge someone like me who has "just enough" knowledge to be dangerous but not enough to have mastered certain essential concepts for pop/jazz piano. Huge props to Matt McLaughlin as well. He has created a very warm and welcoming space in which to take lessons and definitely paired me with right teacher. I am thrilled to have found the McLaughlin School.
Very patient, fun guy to take lessons from. Teaches both 3-finger and clawhammer. Plays in lots of bands in Austin, so it's also fun to hear stories of someone out there living the dream.
My 10 year old daughter has been taking piano and voice lessons from Deborah for the past year and she loves her! Deborah has helped her find music that she is passionate about learning and worked with her to play and sing with confidence in front of audiences. From my daughter "She is a super nice teacher and I like the types of songs we get to play. It is really cool to take lessons from her! It is fun."
Theres truly no other teacher that even begins to compare to Annabeth. For starters, she knows nearly everything you will ever need to know about studying music and has tons of relatable stories from her years of experience in music. She can answer any question that you have, and never ceases to amaze me when she shares her talents in a lesson. You won't find anyone as qualified to teach you about music or life as Annabeth.
