There’s nothing like having fun and learning along the way! Rick is a fantastic, high-energy, never dull, always motivating drum instructor! We are overly pleased with Rick’s charisma and his innate ability to connect w/ our 9-year old son. Over the last 3+months we have experienced great communication from Rick, great feedback, exceptional customer service and a fun, yet structured approach to lessons and homework assignments. Rick is always punctual. He shows up with a smile and is always prepared to teach and inspire. Since the beginning, Rick has been very interested in my son’s goals and ambitions. My son would like to be a praise and worship leader as well as join the school’s band (drum line) one day. Rick has a very diverse background and skill set and takes time each week to concentrate on the areas my son enjoys most, while still managing to stay on task. Rick has been instrumental in helping my son to enhance and perfect his drumming abilities and add to his strengths in most all areas. Rick is very well spoken, educated and pays attention to detail. From basic to more advanced lessons, Rick has assisted my son w/ his posture, his grip and has introduced my son to new styles of music, all while providing a broad education in music theory in terms that my 4th grader can understand and relate to. Ultimately we are very pleased with Rick and are grateful that we selected him to take on this very important role. My son brims with excitement each week when he knows that it’s time for drum lessons. He wishes that Rick could come every single day so they could drum together! If you’re looking for a drum teacher for your child who is fun, patient, reasonably priced, experienced, analytical, and knows how to provide constructive criticism AND praise – then we highly recommend Rick! Rick has ensured each week that my son makes progress and all the while – he’s having fun!

Kenneth Pritchard taught drum lessons to my son for 6 years, 5th-10th grade. He is super with kids, very patient, kind-hearted, and easy to get along with. He appreciates all styles of music and will work with you on whatever you're passionate about. In those 6 years I think Kenneth had to reschedule 1 lesson due to illness. He is dependable, trustworthy, and a talented musician and teacher. We recommend Kenneth highly and have good memories of the times he taught our son (who is 18 now and still enjoys playing drums!)

Things went well during first two lessons, I feel I am getting the attention I need. At this stage of my learning I am satisfied and look forward to the next lessons. The instructor is knowledgeable and I understand where we are going. I am pleased to know I can use the school's piano for extra practice during off schedule hours.

The Sound Foundation has been outstanding to us, especially my son. Norman has done everything possible to see that my son receives his guitar lessons. The Sound Foundation makes you feel at home. He is the most friendliest guy I have met and also, super understanding. My son has learned a lot from his instructor and has picked up some skills. Thank you The Sound Foundation!

Andra is a dear friend of mine. She is incredibly talented, easy to relate to, and she has a wonderful presence about her. She has helped me with learning how to better express myself through music and has taught me a thing or two on the bass guitar. I would highly recommend her as a teacher!

Chad McCutchen is an excellent drum instructor. Not all good musicians are good at teaching but Chad is gifted in both areas. Our daughter was 16 when she started music lessons with Chad. He always welcomed me, as a parent, to sit in and observe their lessons. At our first meeting Chad was very good to ask questions, listen and assess her abilities. He then designed a learning plan based on our collective goals. After each lesson our daughter left feeling encouraged, challenged and excited to try new things! We especially appreciate Chad’s flexibility. Halfway through the semester, our daughter had a shoulder injury that made it difficult to practice drums. Chad was very understanding and able to insert a few guitar lessons while her shoulder got better. Chad is a humble, creative, highly skilled and yet challenging instructor. We (parent and student) would highly recommend his services!

      About

I use my skills as an educator to work with each student in a way that he/she can learn the best. This leads to faster learning, but also better young musicians!

      About

I have been teaching since 1965 and being in show business since 1959, I have the ability to build a relationship with the student. Many years of playing, singing, writing music and producing records has helped me teach people how to really do it and not just become a robot doing it. I offer Christian Based Lessons because I know God honors great musicians and singers and it is important for me being a leader to honor God in teaching music. My pricing is very reasonable. I work with young students to set the foundation in getting a scholarship if they want to hit that goal.

      About

I offer private and group (band oriented) music lessons in many styles and disciplines for multiple instruments including guitar, bass, keyboard/piano and drums/percussion, in the homes of my students living in the Southern Dallas County, and Northern Ellis County areas. I've been lucky to do what I love for the past 20 years and been teaching and passing on my passion for music for the last 10 years! I continue to work in the live and recording fields of the music industry, allowing me to impart real-world knowledge to aspiring musicians of all ages and skill levels. Thanks for checking me out!

      About

I've been teaching and tutoring varying and various subjects for well over a decade. My Reading and Writing students routinely perform at grade levels at least four to five years above their expected placement and often well above that. I also work with students every year to take part in their school spelling bees on every level. My baccalaureate degrees are in Chemistry, Microbiology, Physics, and Voice Performance, so while I have more actual student tutoring hours in the liberal arts (I also worked for many years at UTA's Writing Center as a tutor), I have also spent many hours tutoring fellow students in nearly every science (save geology, perhaps) at every level, collegiate to elementary school. I can teach the fundamentals of piano, everything but the most complicated music theory and ear training, most percussion instruments and some flute.

      About

Hey, Everyone! Jared here. Playing & teaching drums is my passion, and my hope is for that passion to inspire YOU on your musical journey. I have now been teaching full-time for over a year, and I have grown to enjoy it more & more! Teaching allows me to see students grow in their drumming and musicianship over an extended period of time. It also helps me hone my personal skills as I repeatedly explain musical concepts, music theory, reading music, etc. Another benefit of teaching is that I am constantly exposed to new styles of music. In addition to teaching private lessons, I also enjoy creating educational videos, gear reviews and drum covers. Looking into the future, I hope to have my own lesson studio and home recording setup where I can teach and record content!
