I met Patty and Mandy and we got along great. They did a great of picking up on my tone and personality. I like to have fun and joke around. They were right in step with me and still managed to keep it professional. They asked a lot of questions which I appreciated. I really got a sense that they wished to truly understand my current situation and goals. Before I left, we had an action plan in place, a timeframe, established. I was most happy about the fact that I made several points about things that were important to me and these same points were reiterated to me before we concluded our first meeting. This showed me that even though we we're enjoying our conversation, they heard and understood everything I said. They sent me home with a health survey and an assignment to write out my typical diet. Within the health survey, there is also a large open spot to list anything else you may feel is important or relevant to your situation. I am slated to take this survey back in two days and within another two days, they will provide me with an exercise and nutrition plan. Between the initial in depth conversation/interview, the even more comprehensive health survey, and the time to develop a customized plan I feel very confident. In the past, trainers seem to focus on either lifting more weight or doing more reps. This seems to be MUCH more than that.
Allow me to say im training with Mr. Lawrence in sports specefic training andit has not been a dull moment.He has showed me multiple weight training movements that i had no idea existed. Im definitely getting better sleep at night from being worn out after tha days workout.
I’ve been working out with Daniel for the last year or so, off and on. I love the gym and the family feel, everyone says hi and goes out of their way to give advice or answer questions. Daniel takes the time to listen to your goals, and works with you to find a workable/realistic plan, and then holds you accountable to that plan. Both Daniel and Michelle make themselves available in the gym AND at home by phone/text, and have become friends as well as my gym family/trainers. I was at my previous gym for years, but left after my goals shifted, and Metroflex is now my second home (my happy place). 🙂
Jason is SERIOUS about establishing and achieving fitness goals, developing an exercise regimen to reach your maximum potential and improving flexibility and balance early on to prevent injuries or a plateau in progress. I opted for 5 personal trainer sessions to begin formal conditioning then transition to his12 week program. I have already completed 1 session and I am hooked! For perspective purposes, I am a 5'2" 102lb 35 year old female with prior military experience looking to regain muscle tone/mass and weight range of 112-117lbs. Leslie has been amazing! In just a few short weeks she's helped me transform myself from the inside out. She listens to your needs unlike some of the other trainers I interviewed that just cared about adding someone else to their list of clients. For me, it's been a slow start due to multiple injuries that have slowed me down. However, Leslie helped me look at my diet first, make the necessary tweeks and set realistic weight loss expectations. I have a long way to go to reach my longterm goals, but I'm confident with the help of Leslie I'll get there before I know it! I could not be happier to have found a genuine, caring, yet focused trainer! It always feels like I'm hanging out with a friend while getting in my workouts. I trained with Tommy for about 8 months, working out 5 days a week for 30 minutes sessions, with goals set to gain about 7-10 pounds of muscle and maintain it, and increase all my weight maxes. I saw increases in about 2 weeks on bench and squat maxes, and ended up increasing all my maxes by at least 70 pounds each when I stopped training. He was able to work with me through a hip injury, and had workouts planned to keep me from reinjuring it. He's always on time to sessions. And the meal plans he makes are great. He shows you how you can break down all your macros, and gives you substitutes for most of the foods in case you need some variety. Since I stopped training with Tommy, I've continued gaining weight on my lifting maxes, as well as putting on great muscle mass. As a high school football player, I recommended Tommy to all my teammates, as well as a few of my friends that were looking to get in shape. Overall I was/am very happy with my results and how quickly I achieved my goals with Tommy.
Victoria is an Amazing Personal Trainer!! She is hard working, Always Changing up the workout sessions to make it fun and interesting! She understands the needs and abilities of her clients, I myself have Spina Bifida and had limited leg mobility when we first started and used the wheelchair always, now I use my Walking Caine more often instead of being just bound to my chair. When I started with her I was wearing a size 44 jeans which were starting to fit tight and also wearing a size 3 XL! Now I'm down to wearing a size 38 jeans and 1x-2x shirt :-D, I have lost a total of 75 lbs. and still continuing to lose more. Victoria is Very Helpfull with sending out Tasty Weekly Meal ideas for weight loss help, and on my off days she sends me workout plans to do on my own in between our Energetic and Awesome Sessions! She is a Certified Personal Trainer and A Specialist in Fitness Nutrition and knows her stuff!! I don't know any other Trainer who is as passionate for their "job" as Victoria! I put "job" in quotes because she really makes you feel like a friend not just a workout session :-D
I first started working out with Chris on April 1st of 2013. Newly relocated from New York/DC, I quickly realized that if I was going to live in the south, I was going to have to look good with very little on. I had enough self-awareness to realize I didnt yet have the discipline to force myself to go to the gym. So I figured if I was able to make it so that someone was expecting me to be there, then Id go when I was supposed to, so I decided to hire a personal trainer. Best decision Ive ever made in my life. The progress I made with Chris in the 4 months I worked out with him far exceeded any progress I saw from the last 8 years of gym memberships combined. His knowledge on not just weight training but nutrition as well far exceeded my expectations. I would come to him with questions about things I had long believed to be common knowledge in the training/nutrition world and he would explain to me why it was true or a myth. He completely revamped my nutrition plan, breaking down how many calories, proteins, carbs, fats, and fiber I should be taking in every day; tweaking the plan, when necessary, every few weeks. When I began working out with Chris, I weighed 216 pounds. Definitely overweight for someone just over 62. By the end of our training together I was down to 195, losing 29 pounds of fat and gaining 8 pounds of muscle. Its been 7 months since then and Im now down to 183 pounds. I was at a costume party not too long ago and was dressed in an outfit that didnt cover my chest, when a girl came up to me and asked why I even bother buying shirts. Never in a million years did I ever think Id be comfortable enough to show my chest in a group setting, let alone get that kind of a reaction from someone. Thats when I realized I needed to come back and thank Chris for everything hes done for me and changing my life. I look forward to doing more personal training with him again in the future.
Ralph helped me with weight training and breathing exercises. My sessions continue with nutrition & better eating habits mainly. He is most knowledgeable about nutrition, exercise & training in many different aspects with great effort & advice. He is always punctual & prepared for each session. Everything goes accordingly, as planned, by Ralph with complete explanations of the whys and hows of better exercise and nutrition.
I was always skeptical about joining CrossFit. From day one the coaches and members at JN4 have been amazing! The on boarding class will take away any fears you may have and the coaches really focus on you and your needs. You're not going to be thrown into a class and hope for the best. Even after entering into classes every coach takes the time to get to know you, your abilities, and what you need to work on. They make sure your form is correct, lend advise, and always motivate you to go that extra mile even when you think you can't. The members will make you come back for more. Everyone is very friendly, motivating, and excited. Dont worry about your skill level, there are people who have never lifted a weight their entire life all the way up to people competing. No matter what your skill level is everyone will push each other to achieve new goals. Everyone celebrates your accomplishments whether they are big or small.
After a long time of feeling like I would never lose weight no matter how much I worked out, then I found Paul! Like I told Paul I was trained by several trainers who didn't even get me anywhere near where Paul has in just 3 weeks! I started with Paul on December 17th and 3 weeks in I've lost more weight, training with him than I ever have training with other personal trainers. Paul is a great personal trainer because he "walks the walk" and everything just comes naturally to him. From the simple meal plans to the kick your butt workouts. He's motivating throughout your workout and will always give you instruction & correction on your technique. He will also make you think about every muscle your working. Throughout your workout he will interact with you and makes you feel completely comfortable. Paul's the type of trainer that wants to see you succeed and he loves what he does. I've never felt so motivated and inspired as I do and it's thanks to Paul!! You will see the physical changes in his clients and yourself, that's how you will know you made the right decision. I'm so happy that he is working with me and I'm so excited to see what the next month brings!!!
I am about to complete a month training under Dave and I can say he is really attentive. If I have any questions he is super fast to respond them. I am confidant that I will see some progress in my fitness/weight loss program soon. Looking forward for some more interesting and engaging workouts from David
I’ve only been working with Donna for a short time, but I’m already seeing results! I can already lift more weight and do more reps. She creates unique exercise plans that always keep me on my toes (literally!). I know that Donna genuinely cares about my success. Very very happy with the training that Sam has been providing me! I have seen a change in my body weight, and also found that I am really enjoying the workouts we have. At the start it was a pain to get up at 6.30am for training, but I now look forward to these sessions, not only because they are helping me lose weight, but also becuase they are fun! I have been a client of Chad Humphrey Fitness for almost 3 years. Chad is a wonderful trainer! He is patient in explaining and demonstrating exercises. I’ve been working out with Gretchen for a few weeks now and I’m really enjoying it. I was very hesitant about lifting weights but it’s actually been a fun experience. Gretchen is very punctual and reliable and she is always checking in to make sure I’m good after a workout. Germain is such an impressive source of knowledge. The App he utilizes for his coaching programs is phenomenal. He is timely, professional, and intentional to cater to your desired goals. As a result of signing up for coaching I was able to lose 12 pounds, but most importantly I regained the self-love and confidence that I always promoted to my participants as an instructor, myself. I always iterate how important it is to find something you love whether it be lifting heavy weights or running or swimming or dancing. I have always felt best when I'm active and mentally healthy and a huge component of that is fitness, but I was in a rut and I just couldn't get out of it on my own.
