- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client I prefer to meet 8-6 weeks in advance of the wedding. At the initial meeting, we will discuss the basics of your wedding, what vendors you have secured, what (if any) vendors you still need, your timeline (if this hasn't already been figured out, this is something I will do for you), etc. We will go over anything you're anxious about as well and I will answer any and all questions you have. Around 6 weeks we will schedule a walk through of the venue to discuss decor plans, the floor plan, and work out any kinks in the flow of things. On the night of the rehearsal, I will direct everyone on timing and placement for the processional then recessional. Any last minute questions or concerned will be addressed and we will go over the basic timeline to ensure that everyone is on the same page before the big day! I will be available by email and phone as much as the couple needs and will be available in person for 2 meetings prior to the rehearsal and wedding.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Before joining the wedding industry, I worked in managing restaurants and handling the marketing for local businesses. I know what it means to work in high paced, stressful environments that have a habit of being both predictable and unpredictable. I work well under pressure, I predict problem situations, and I have solid personal skills so as to maintain positive relationships with your guests and chosen vendors.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The very first wedding I coordinated day of was for an old friend of mine from high school that found themselves in need of a coordinator last minute. She had no idea it was always my dream profession and launched me down the path I walk today.
