Great contractor who really knows what he's doing. Very happy with his work.
Thank you Jonathan for doing a quick job on our demo. The work was done neatly and your punctuality was helpful in expediting other trades contractors. Thank you so much. I will save your number and call on you anytime I need work done in the future.
My experience with hiring the Remodelator was completely positive in every way. I contracted with him to take out 2 interior non load bearing walls and also to wall in a doorway. He hung the sheet rock as well as tape/float and texture to match and also match bead board where the new wall was. His work appears perfect to me. He was swift and courteous He did an excellent job of cleaning up when he was finished and his pricing seemed quite fair. In the past 5 years I have had occasion to hire a contractor to complete projects around my house 4 times. Twice my experience was not favorable and I certainly didn't leave a great review. But in this case it is highly warranted and I would not hesitate to recommend the Remodelator.
Angel and his crew were punctual and professional. Their final product was phenomenal and I would hire them again.
SEA capped off 2 heaters in the bathrooms. They were a little late but worked quickly and was a great price. Now I don't have to worry about anyone turning on these old heaters and burning down the house.
Kollie was prompt, a good communicator, clearly an experienced installer, and willing to go the extra mile to ensure everything was set up the best way functionally and aesthetically - and I didn't have to prod or direct him at all.
I contracted Ryan to put in receptacles in bedrooms, GFI in kitchen and bathrooms, replace a breaker, wire attic fan and install microwave. Ryan was personable, on time, and did a fantastic job at a great price. Will use him again.
After interviewing multiple contractors my husband and I decided Greg Vasquez was the best choice for our remodeling needs. Greg took time to confirm our desired outcomes and reviewed recommendations based upon his experience and expertise. That was certainly helpful to have insight as to what products were best for our needs. From kitchen to bathroom, sunroom to living room and office remodel, Greg was able to complete the work and clean up debris before leaving each day. There is no need to contact anyone else in our book, as he has done electrical, plumbing, tile, sheetrock, painting and texturing and gas appliance replacement for us. He even took pains-taking time and effort to level our sunroom slab before re-tiling. In addition, he was able to remove and reset our French doors that were installed incorrectly by a contractor I'll never use again. (We could keep him busy just fixing the mistakes previous contractors have made at my house). Greg is one whom we trust and respect - two vital qualities to consider when hiring someone to work in your house. My husband and I feel Greg has saved us from our endless weekend projects and we can't wait to have the next phase of remodeling commence.
We are very pleased with the look of our bathroom. Felipe was easy to work with and did his best to make sure we got the design we wanted. We received quotes from several contractor between $8,500 to $43,000. Felipe quote was not the lowest but in the range we thought was reasonable for our size bathroom. Our project had several set backs which were no ones fault: The tub filler we selected had a design flaw, which required some redesign. The sink drains didn't work the way we hoped and had to order replacements. The tub showed up with a crack and we had to order a replacement. Felipe worked with us through each issue and did his best to guide us to a solution. One of the great things about working with Filipe was the fact he knows some very good subcontractors. The company he recommended to do the show glass, did a great job at half the cost other companies quoted for the same work. Plus we got a lifetime warranty on the glass and workmanship. With every project there's always the 90/10 rule. 90% of the work is straight forward and fairly easy to complete. The rest of the work is more tedious and requires time. There were a couple of areas I thought the work could have been better: The pony wall tile was not cut straight and left ragged grout edges (picture). The retexturing could have been better if not rushed (picture). The caulking around the tub, particularly behind the tub was very poorly done. For the price, I really don't have anything to complain about. This was our first project hiring a contractor to do a project. We learned some important lessons. 1) Create a check list of work items. This will help make sure there are no disagreements on what is and isn't part of the contract. 2) Inspect the work regularly. It's only your fault if the works not done correctly. 3) Don't pay until the work is done to your satisfaction. 4) Get everything in writing including the warranty. I can't say enough how happy we are with the new bathroom. I have other property in Austin and I will use Felipe for future projects.
I needed to have 16 linear ft of interior wall removed to open up the house. Additionally, there would be new drywall and repair requirements, flooring, and paint to finish the project. Jim was not the cheapest of the 3 quotes that were offered, but, as an experienced home builder for 30+ years, he impressed, was methodical and scientific in his project approach, is insured, and the pictures of the work that was completed in his portfolio were great. The project did have scope creep, and the cost adjustments were transparent and fair. The project came out to my satisfaction. Professional, meticulous, OCD (it’s great for a contractor), polite, and trustworthy; both individually and in his resourcing and supervision of subcontractors for the areas not under his direct scope (floor and paint). I would also like to add, that during this project, I unfortunately broke my tibia, being immobilized till now. Jim was courteous, ensured area safety, cleanliness, and even when I needed personal aid (an occasional run to the fast food joint) he did it. He cares about his work and his clients.
I've been a home owner for 30 years and dealt with numerous contractors over the years. I would rate James at the top of the list. He communicates clearly; takes ownership of the job; is diligent about the work, either directly or with subs. He is reasonable with changes and pleasant to work with. In short, he's provided both superior service and value while working on my project.
This is the second time I have hired Alex Long to do a remodel for me. This time, I wanted to turn an old recording studio building into a vacation rental duplex, pretty much from the ground up: in effect, Alex built two, complete, small custom homes. What impressed me from the first project was Alex's education and background in construction. He has years of custom home building experience and knows what he's doing. He wasn't the least expensive option for me, but I'm extremely confident that the slight additional cost was well worth the superior quality level of his construction. I've received huge compliments from my guests on his work - the quality is impeccable. Also, he's seen the gamut of construction obstacles--building and logistics--and always has a solution. Most important, Alex has an eye for detail, listens to what you want, and he does a solid job. I've always preferred working with the smaller, local companies for the personal service and craftsmanship. The variables involved with the various subcontractors sometimes required patience, but Ive learned to allow for that in my timeline. Alex has an artist's eye and years of construction experience and hes always courteous and professional. He listens to your vision and takes pride in his work. I highly recommend Alex.
Texas Classic Custom worked on a commercial project for us installing stone work. The customer service was outstanding before, during, and after the completed work. I will use them agian for future projects that we have under contract. I was able to depend on them for a warranty issue that another subcontractor failed to complete on a past project. As an out state contractor it is very difficult to find companies such as this one that you can depend on to get things done right the first time. Thank you Donald for great work and service. The Service and the experiance was great came home to exactly how we left it and it looked good so far for what work had been done. Trade worked with me on a budget and had very reasonable prices that they stuck to. They didnt try to hussle me or get more money for work that was quoted in the original price they gave me. Guys worked very clean and brought their own drinks food equipment etc. They didnt eat in the house they ate off site to keep the jod site clean. Commynication was great they let em know when they were going to come and they hit the mark. If they were going to be a bit behind they let me know asap. Quality driven work at resonable prices along with reliability and integrity. If you wnat a room a wall or an entire house done call these guys they will get it done and they even put a warranty on their work.they bring insurance to you befor they start the job and they dont use subcontractors and they have company trucks with complete logos on them.
Mario did a good job repairing water damage to the drywall, texturing and painting. It looks almost like new
We purchased a 25 year old home last summer in the Westlake/ Bee Caves area. James did an extensive home remodel including, major carpentry, 3 baths, complete new kitchen, staircase, complete interior and exterior painting, 3 new decks, closets and built ins. it took a little over 3 months. He had the work ethic of a seasoned, successful professional. Extremely energetic, even in the heat of an Austin summer. He arrived precisely on time every morning and put in a full day of work every day, leaving a clean and organized job site every afternoon. James impressed us with his knowledge, his suggestions, his ability to translate our ideas brilliantly and the joy and pride he took in his work. His team of subcontractors were excellent. We would most defiantly recommend James and will call on him for any building or remodeling or carpentry projects we have in the future.
We are a foundation repair firm which was awarded a residential repair project from Tieman Construction. I have been in business for over 25 years and I really appreciated the experience Wayne brought to the project as the G.C. It was a pleasure being their specialty repair subcontractor because they were very knowledgeable in my specific service and were able to communicate the project needs to the client as good or better than I could have. Also, they assisted with the City building department and project engineer in all phases of the job which was a big help in a complicated project. I look forward to working with them again. AGI did a great job at creating my idea of an addition to my home with a garage attachment. The attention to detail and quality of workmanship was way beyond my expectations! Everyone involved, John and his subcontractors were very efficient, professional and pleasant to work with!
