Tim is an excellent vocal teacher of singing and voice. He is helping me with my pitch optimization, tonal quality, and projection. I always thought I'd be very nervous taking a singing lesson, but his manner made it easy for me. I've had only three lessons and already see an improvement in my speaking and singing. The lessons are enjoyable, and he is very patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable. I'd recommend him to anyone.

My 6 year old son has been working with Mr. Nolan on on the electric guitar for a couple of months now. Mr Nolan is a very knowledgeable, caring, and patient teacher and my son is always excited to go to the lesson each week and even practice at home. I was hesitant to start my 6 year old on the guitar as I felt he might have been a bit young but I have been extremely happy with his progress. On a side note, Mr. Nolan is even letting me learn and play along using one of his guitars! This is my childhood dream so I am thrilled! If you are looking for guitar lessons, I would recommend Mr. Nolan with no hesitation.

I was a student at the PianoForte Music Studio starting from age 6 until I graduated from high school and I had a great experience! I was kept interested inspired even when things got busy with school and other activities and now I can work on and play almost any music I find! If I get the chance, I would love to return for more lessons in the future.

Being self-taught but still pretty good in some respects, I entered this professional relationship with a healthy amount of skepticism. I didn't know what I did and didn't need, or even if I actually needed lessons. Certainly, I questioned whether someone who hadn't grown up with the same musical influences as I had could relate to my quirky sensibilities. Right off, Zach's easy demeanor put to bed some of those concerns. Once we sat for the lesson proper, all remaining reservations evaporated. Never once was there the sense that I should conform to his way of playing. Instead, we started with a non-intrusive Q & A that eased into my playing for a few unpressured moments during which he jotted notes that allowed him to skip a few fundamentals. From that point we were off to the races. His suggestions were on-point, playing to my preferences and speed of learning. And when there were occasional diversions from raw education, they were of my prompting. Zach is consistently at ease, knowledgable, non-judgmental, and professional.

I've taken guitar lessons before with a couple of different instructors. I can honestly say that I learned quicker and more enjoyable with Gustavo! He has an amazing gift for music. I would recommend him to anyone wanting to learn to play.

About

Having studied music pedagogy at the University of Texas at Austin, I know how to break down the vastness of music fundamentals and performance into bite-sized chunks that so that students can accomplish a steady string of achievable goals that add up to demonstrable, measurable improvement. I also am well-versed in both classical music and improvised styles such as jazz. As such, I can encourage creativity and improvisation without losing sight of fundamental skills or the great body of classical music that students traditionally use to develop sight reading and technique.
