Chris himself is very nice to work with but some of his tutors not so much. As a concerned parent I'd highly recommend to re-evaluate the tutors.
Sandy wad a great tutor for my daughter! She helped her pass her math staar test this year, which my daughter has never done. She really worked with her and pushed her. Overall she is a great tutor.
The company replied in a timely manner and arranged for SAT tutors to connect with my student right away. We were given an opportunity to select which type of tutors my daughter would listen to...authoritative or patient. We also liked the fact that there were many tutors to choose from.
Blake has done a tremendous job with my son, he is reliable, always on time, energetic and not to mention my son really looks forward his math tutoring. Thank you Blake!!
Claire has had a great improvement in her algebra course as a freshman with Ms. Vecera. She is punctual, understanding, calm and to the point with her skills. It took Claire a good 4 lessons to know that we were with the right person. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a true up to date math tutor.
When my son started struggling in school last year in reading comprehension, I didn't know where to turn. From the moment I spoke with you on the phone I felt a sigh of relief; you calmed me down and let me know that my son was going to be just fine. I love that the parents are involved in the sessions because we need to know how to help our child at home. My son has improved tremendously in his reading comprehension skills! And his confidence level is so much better than before and so is mine as a parent. You have made me realize that tutoring is a process that begins with building a strong foundation. J. enjoys his time with you. You've been a blessing to our family! — Stephanie R.
Very Professional and Knowledgeable!!!! Even on days not tutoring, she would text me to find out if we had any questions on homework. After 2 sessions my daughter got an A+ on test.
I was one of his ESL student from Holmes High School. He taught me not just how to speak English but also he helped discovered my potential. I am currently a senior at Our Lady of the Lake University and an AFROTC Cadet at University of Texas at San Antonio, soon will be commissioning in the Air Force. I was a “lost” when I first moved to US. I did not know what I want in my life, nor how to speak English. He was my first American teacher. He was very patient with me when I had trouble understanding him in class. He taught me to be persistent by never giving up on me or any of his other student. He would stay after school or come early to work to help students who needed extra help. He would visit student’s home to make sure they have everything they need to succeed in class and life. He hired me back to Holmes High School and Stevens High School as tutor. He knew that I was a good model for those trouble students and it would help me with my financial needs. I am forever greatful for he has done for me and other students.

I love teaching and helping students realize their own potential as their grades and test scores improve. As a former military officer and associate professor of naval science, I have had the privilege of sharing my passion for teaching with students of all ages and backgrounds. My educational background consists of a BS degree in Computer Engineering Technology, MS degree in Organizational Leadership and Management, and Microsoft Office User Specialist (MOUS) certifications in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word. I have also taught college algebra for two years, home schooled grades 2-12, tutored students in elementary school and college, and served as a Bible school teacher for more than 20 years in several local churches. I tutor because it allows me to work with students one-on-one, to give each person the individual time and attention needed so that they understand difficult concepts and learn how to work more efficiently and effectively. I specialize in General Math, Algebra, Conversational English, and basic computer courses (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint). I can also assist students in other subjects such as Reading, English and Science. My approach to tutoring varies depending on the student's needs and learning style. It is my goal during each session to help students learn to solve problems, but more importantly, I want to encourage and inspire them to enjoy learning! I start from topics the students are comfortable with and move gradually towards more complex areas as their confidence grows. I use questions and real-world examples to check understanding throughout the sessions. When assisting with homework, I will provide similar examples but will not do the students homework for them! To ensure that students have a comfortable study space, I am happy to travel to your home or to a location of your choosing. Although I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, Im very flexible with time and will work with you to schedule make-up sessions. Feel free to contact me with questions or to schedule a session. I look forward to meeting you and helping you achieve success in your studies!
I have received both a bachelors and a masters in mathematics and applied mathematics respectively.
I am offering my tutoring services because I know how difficult it can be learning a subject and want to be aided with that. Nowadays, there are several tutoring agencies out there charging ridiculous prices. I want to provide an alternative, a more cost effective method to enhance knowledge.
I tutor for reading and writing for those who need help in reading and writing and don't understand the concept.
I tutor students from grade 1 through college in all levels of math, reading, writing, SAT, ACT, ASVAB, GED and ESL.
