I first met Mark through group guitar lessons through Davis Community Schools. I took his first and second group lessons. Since then I have been taking private lessons for almost two years now. Mark is an excellent guitar instructor. He adapts all my lessons to what I want to learn. He is patient, kind and encouraging. His favorite phrase is, "You are better today than you were yesterday!" I use to take lessons out of state for several years and never really learned anything. I never felt motivated to practice. In my two years with Mark, I have always desired to practice regularly and have made far more improvement in this short time than I ever did previously. If you are interested in lessons, or know someone who is, Mark is DEFINITELY your best choice! I have seen him work well with students of all ages. You can't go wrong with lessons from Mark DesLaurier!
Nic is excellent to work with and really knows his stuff. You can tell he is really passionate about music.

I have been playing the violin for 20 years. Beginning at age 5, I studied private lessons with a variety of accomplished violinists including Richard Ferguson, Diane (Worley) Austin, Ted Ashton, Jean Tweet, and received private instruction from Julliard graduate Eric Grossman while attending a young adult strings camp. I received a music scholarship from BYU-Idaho my first year and was accepted into their Music Performance program, where I participated in music theory class, private lessons, master classes, chamber music quartets, and performed in the Symphony Orchestra (directed by Robert Tueller). I stayed involved in music by performing regularly with the Rexburg Tabernacle Community Orchestra (directed by LaMar Barrus and Kevin Call), teaching private violin lessons, continuing to take private lessons with Richard Ferguson, and performing on several occasions in local and state level pageants.
We signed our daughter up for the introductory lesson and were more than impressed with what she got. She went in with very basic knowledge about the guitar and, after only 90 minutes, left with knowledge of the instrument, the ability to read tablature, an understanding of counts and measures, and was playing simple songs. It was obvious that the instructors here really care about their students!
My lessons go far beyond just playing guitar. I include: Music theory, Singing, and overall performance techniques.Depending on the students wants and abilities. My goal is to guide my students towards their personalized music goals. Including at times piano and vocal lessons in tandem with the guitar. This varies of course by the needs of the student
I teach piano to students in different age groups. I also accompany instrumentalists if you need.
I provide music lessons and music production. I teach guitar, mandolin, banjo, violin, percussion, keyboard, vocals, and also have studio recording time.
I teach guitar lessons to raise money for underprivileged children in India. Because all proceeds from my lessons are donated, I teach on a pay-what-you-can basis. I've been playing guitar for 13 years and can teach from beginner to intermediate guitar. I have two years of teaching experience -- teaching children with mental illness. Contact me if you're interested.
I teach piano performance, technique, and theory, from primer level to advanced students. I do like my students to have basic reading skills as it makes learning to read music easier.
Hi, I'm Kyler. I run a small business teaching guitar lessons, making videos, and recording music. I can also help you finish writing a song.
My track record shows what my students gained in such short time
I have a sequence of teaching that allows the student to grow into the musician they want to be. Whether it be performing, composing, or just playing around the campfire, I have you covered.
Mike is a great guitar instructor. I have been taking lessons from him using my electric guitar to learn how to play rock and metal, but he has also been teaching me theory and all things important to being really good at playing guitar in general. I have never learned to play any instrument before but have always wanted to. Mike definitely knows his stuff and is an expert at playing guitar and teaching it. I've only taken lessons for about 4 months now but am surprised at myself by how well I can already play by applying the exercises and technique he teaches me, and being an adult that says a lot, because I don't always get to practice as much as I would like. I definitely plan on continuing my lessons with Mike because it is exciting to see my progress, and I know he will help me reach my goals to play. I've had some friends tell me that it took them 2 years of playing before they even started playing songs like Master of Puppets and I'm already about to start, and have already been able to play simpler songs completely. Also, every time I have a question about anything in guitar Mike always is able to explain it to me in a way I can understand.
