I would like to highly recommend Steve Jolemore as a guitar instructor. I had the pleasure of sitting in on a lesson he gave to my daughter when she was first learning to play the guitar and I was so impressed with his knowledge, ability, and demeanor. His experience really shone through and he is a diligent and patient teacher who knows exactly how to read a student's level and capacity and teach from that vantage point. Steve has a vast knowledge of the guitar and of music and, in my estimation, he would be able to teach any age and any level in any genre. He is disciplined in the most positive way imaginable and he works to gently yet effectively instill that same discipline in his students. I can't imagine a student who wouldn't benefit from Steve's impeccable guidance and his intelligent approach to teaching. If you are at all interested in guitar lessons I urge you to choose Steve Jolemore. You will be very happy that you did.

I initially contacted Penelope for voice lessons for my daughter who loves to sing and play ukulele, it so happens she plays uke as well. She works with my daughter on voice in conjunction with ukulele lessons and my daughter loves it and is learning how to hone in on her skill. She travels to our house for the lessons which is also so helpful for us and she is very reasonably priced. We highly recommend Penelope and are very pleased with her knowledge base and teaching style.

Reggie is the best! I couldn't be happier with him as an instructor. I have so much fun during my lessons. Each lesson is a highlight of my week. He is laid back and fun, but also inspires me to practice and learn. Reggie is very patient and receptive to the student's goals, interests, and skill level. I am so happy I started lessons with him!

Nate was my son's saxophone instructor for over a year. He did a magnificent job, not only teaching him how to play the instrument, but instilling a love of music. Our inclusion into the local music scene through Nate gave my son a clear, long term picture of what he can do with his music after high school/college. My boy is a better musician for having taken lessons from Nate.

We’ve only had one lesson so far, but Destiney was excellent with my 5 year old and easy to communicate with from the start. Best of all, her passion really shows and makes a lesson with her that much more fun and valuable.

First boxing lesson was great. If I won't flake with follow-ups, I may actually learn something.

About

I am a piano, cello and music theory teacher. I have a BA in Music (Cello Performance, Minor in Piano) earned from a music college in Russia. I am highly professional. Since 2010, my students participated in over 25 recitals and concerts at College of William and Mary, Crosswalk Community Church, King's Way Church, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenfield Senior Living, Patriot's Colony, and many other venues. My students also participated in The National Federation of Music Clubs for the last 4 years in a row. All of them received superior rating, and four of them already received Golden Cups. I have been judging piano solo events for the last 3 years. Our recent performing project was playing in the Bard's Market at the Virginia Shakespeare Festival. Three of my students did an exceptional job entertaining the audience by playing a classical piano repertoire. I also provide wedding/special occasion entertainment (cello, piano, and violin) as a trio, duet, solo in any combination.

I train on breathing properly for singing. I train on all styles, and I have trained in opera, classical, pop, and R&B. I teach site reading, give my students a schedule to practice at home, and help them find their own sound. I train in vibrato, falsetto, and all other mainstream voice diversions. I can train male or female. I teach at a studio in Virginia Beach called OBW Theatre Company. If close or nearby, I can drive to a student's residence, if necessary. It's $30 for a half hour if you don't want to take a whole-hour session.

I provide a complete instruction for all string instruments, bowed and fretted. I also give a complete instruction in music theory. I work with live instrumental performance groups. Composition and arranging services are offered. Fees are $35.00 per half-hour lesson. You provide the materials. My goal is to provide each student with the necessary knowledge and skill set to enable them to perform either as a soloist in their home and perform as a member of an ensemble, such as a church, neighborhood bands, etc. I can get this done in a two-year period if the student is diligent with his/her practice routine.
