Steve is a Renaissance man whose breadth of knowledge never ceases to amaze me. I would feel comfortable sending anyone for lessons with Steve because, as well as his obvious knowledge and skill with the guitar, he is a man of great patience.
My son has had a positive experience with Creative Music so far. We hope to continue with Creative Music for at least a couple more lessons.
Myriad was very responsive to all of our questions and was able to get our son's lessons scheduled right away! A very good beginning! :)
Fabulous! Best guitar teacher ever :-> Mr Brady has taken our daughter from a complete beginner to a very motivated and accomplished student. Lessons with Curt are the highlight of her week and she loves that he can work with her on any type of music that she is interested in. We plan to continue the lessons with Curt and would enthusiastically recommend him to anyone seeking instruction.
As an adult, I was nervous about taking guitar lessons but Nell made it easy. She creates an environment that is comfortable and easy to learn in.
Great teacher! Always on time and has a very thorough lesson planned out.
Kids have enjoyed their lessons. I feel she is working well with the kids.
It is great that Jan comes to the house for my son's lessons. He enjoys her as a teacher.
Kathy has been a wonderful tutor for both my daughters, ages 14 and 16. She is able to connect and build a relationship with her students that builds confidence while they are learning, whether in Spanish 1 or Spanish 3. I highly recommend her for tutoring. Her knowledge and fluency is exceptional while still being able to meet the child where they are in their knowledge. My children's grades improved tremendously with her help. Thank you Kathy!
We’ve only had one lesson so far, but Destiney was excellent with my 5 year old and easy to communicate with from the start. Best of all, her passion really shows and makes a lesson with her that much more fun and valuable.
First boxing lesson was great. If I won't flake with follow-ups, I may actually learn something.
My method is fairly orthodox -- I teach what is needed for a student to actually be able to play songs in just a few weeks. While we will learn the basic chord shapes and scales, I will also teach alternative tuning, many of which have much simpler chord shaping, enabling some popular songs to be learned even by the beginner.
I am a local and professional bass player, with 40 years of experience. I can help beginners how to start playing bass the right way. If you already play bass, take your playing to the next level. I service intermediate to advanced players. I can teach them to read music, improvise, and understand chord changes. The sky is the limit.
I provide a complete instruction for all string instruments, bowed and fretted. I also give a complete instruction in music theory. I work with live instrumental performance groups. Composition and arranging services are offered. Fees are $35.00 per half-hour lesson. You provide the materials. My goal is to provide each student with the necessary knowledge and skill set to enable them to perform either as a soloist in their home and perform as a member of an ensemble, such as a church, neighborhood bands, etc. I can get this done in a two-year period if the student is diligent with his/her practice routine.
I am a piano, cello and music theory teacher. I have a BA in Music (Cello Performance, Minor in Piano) earned from a music college in Russia. I am highly professional. Since 2010, my students participated in over 25 recitals and concerts at College of William and Mary, Crosswalk Community Church, King's Way Church, Tabernacle Baptist Church, Greenfield Senior Living, Patriot's Colony, and many other venues. My students also participated in The National Federation of Music Clubs for the last 4 years in a row. All of them received superior rating, and four of them already received Golden Cups. I have been judging piano solo events for the last 3 years. Our recent performing project was playing in the Bard's Market at the Virginia Shakespeare Festival. Three of my students did an exceptional job entertaining the audience by playing a classical piano repertoire. I also provide wedding/special occasion entertainment (cello, piano, and violin) as a trio, duet, solo in any combination.
I offer music instruction including piano, guitar, vocal, performance and music theory for all ages and levels of experience. I have flexible scheduling and reasonable fees. I provide the enthusiastic and professional instruction.
I am a father of three who loves to share the most amazing gift in the entire world with anyone who's wanting to learn how to use it: the gift of making music. I offer guitar lessons for beginners at a very fair price! I also am a songwriter and can write custom songs for you. Impress your girlfriend; pay respect to a lost loved one; get some things off your mind and into a memory that you can share with the world forever!
I try to give people the best experience possible by making things as simple as possible.
I've been playing guitar for over 7 years now including live performances and weddings. I am extremely versed in various styles of music including both acoustic and electric rock, blues, country, jazz, and finger picking styles and would be a great asset to any beginner or novice students. I also have a degree in education from Old Dominion University and work wonderfully with both younger and older students.
I can give the best of both worlds in my music lessons by combining an intuitive, ear training based approach with a strong foundation in music theory. My hope is to teach my students the skills they need to keep growing as musicians long after their lessons cease.
I train on breathing properly for singing. I train on all styles, and I have trained in opera, classical, pop, and R&B. I teach site reading, give my students a schedule to practice at home, and help them find their own sound. I train in vibrato, falsetto, and all other mainstream voice diversions. I can train male or female. I teach at a studio in Virginia Beach called OBW Theatre Company. If close or nearby, I can drive to a student's residence, if necessary. It's $30 for a half hour if you don't want to take a whole-hour session.
