My daughter has been taking guitar lessons from Tod for several years. She has really enjoyed learning and exploring the music she is interested in. Tod has worked with her to learn to play the guitar with his expertise, but has listen to her regarding music she wants to learn to play. It has been awesome to see her love of music and ability to play, grow through her lessons. She really enjoys her time with Tod. We would highly recommend Tod. He is great teacher for young and old.

I have been a student of Andrew's for four years now. He has always been gentle and supportive. The skills that I have learned from him as a musician and as a performer can't be beat. I am having a successful music career because of what I have learned from him.

Responds quickly. My son loves video game music, and Edward is great in this area. For the first lesson, he gave my son a good overview of options.

Jordan provided guitar lessons for my son for 2.5 years. My child did not have any previous experience with a guitar or with music in general prior to his lessons. Under Jordan's guidance, my son has not only learned the basics, but he has learned to love music. My child can now play classical, jazz, and rock; he has even performed some Ozzy Osbourne for a talent show in front of over 150 people at school! My son has gained confidence in himself and his musical ability through his lessons. I am so glad that Jordan was able to work with my child!

I loved the way he presented music to me, I had been struggling for a long time with the guitar and he got me playing my favorite song in a month, and singing along too!! The class was fun and dynamic so I was never bored or uninterested. Thumbs up!

In 1978, we opened our doors in this old house on Cary Street, which we still occupy today. Over these 30 years, we have grown tremendously, selling thousands of instruments, representing most of the major brands, helping over one million people with their musical needs, teaching over half a million lessons and repairing thousands of instruments. In 2002, I started producing my own line of instruments, simply branded Guitar Works, Inc. We focus on producing a higher-quality instrument in the affordable price range, which features the unique service of being completely set up and adjusted for perfect play. Some 12,000 Guitar Works, Inc. instruments are being enjoyed locally and nationwide. Check out some of our testimonials. Call, click or come by. We'd love to be of service for your musical needs. We are the area's only guitar specialty shop.

I began playing the tuba in the 7th grade, which taught me how to read music. Since the bass guitar and the tuba's music notation is exactly the same, I began playing bass in 1992. I played lead guitar for 22 years, prior to changing to bass. I'm 55 years old, and have over 40 years of experience playing in bands (since I was 14). For three semesters, I studied music at Va, State College (present Va. State University) while marching in the band. My services include a bass guitar and beginner's book available for the student, until they can purchase their own. I have a studio behind my home (used for band rehearsals), where the lessons will be given. Other items provided are bass amp, cable, guitar stand, and audio system for listening purposes.

I off a tried and tested guitar teaching program. It is cost effective and focused towards successs. I also offer tuition and support via the web site which means that students have access to much of my guitar knowledge, simply by walking UpGuitarHill with me. The best way to achieve success is not like the hare but rather like the tortoise in the Aesop's fable of the same name. The UpGutiarHill lessons are structured to get the job done and turn a newbie guitarist into a proficient nylon string guitarist with chord, strum and fingerpicking skills. At the top of UpGuitarHill you can then use these skills to move on to classical guitar or any other guitar area that you desire, having acquired the solid grounding from your UpGuitarHIll lessons.

Paul Ivey has been a guitarist for nearly 40 years, with 30 years of experience performing and recording music in the Richmond, Virginia and Washington, DC areas. His goal is to help each student find his or her own "voice" as a guitarist.

I have been teaching piano for nearly thirty years. I focus on enjoying the instrument and music in general. I am a believer in promoting enjoyment, in addition to a strong base in musical theory. I offer piano lessons for a lifetime of enjoyment.

I have been teaching individuals guitar and music lessons for six years. My forte is in beginning and intermediate guitar skills along with reading music charts. I have studied music for about 12 years.

I teach beginning to intermediate private violin lessons. Students aging five and older can learn privately through an experienced teacher in a wonderful facility.

The good thing about my program students and parents love when you can travel to them to make it easier for them.
