I would like to highly recommend Steve Jolemore as a guitar instructor. I had the pleasure of sitting in on a lesson he gave to my daughter when she was first learning to play the guitar and I was so impressed with his knowledge, ability, and demeanor. His experience really shone through and he is a diligent and patient teacher who knows exactly how to read a student's level and capacity and teach from that vantage point. Steve has a vast knowledge of the guitar and of music and, in my estimation, he would be able to teach any age and any level in any genre. He is disciplined in the most positive way imaginable and he works to gently yet effectively instill that same discipline in his students. I can't imagine a student who wouldn't benefit from Steve's impeccable guidance and his intelligent approach to teaching. If you are at all interested in guitar lessons I urge you to choose Steve Jolemore. You will be very happy that you did.

I began my guitar lessons the first day of July. Chris is an outstanding teacher who gets you involved in the lesson, gives you patient instruction and timely feedback on your progress. I have taken many other lessons from other teachers and did not get the same results in weeks that I got with Chris on the first day.

Nate immediatlely replied to my request for guitar lessons, and went beyond what I would have expected by offering to go guitar shopping with me. He is extremely talented, and he explains things in a way that is easy to understand. He was also very flexible in setting up a lesson time that worked with my schedule.

Curt has been teaching my daughter since April 2012. First off, he is a great instructor, always patient and he had her playing right off the bat. She has progressively gotten better which has motivated her to practice even more, turning her into a pretty good young guitar player. From a parent's perspective, he is extremely helpful with advice and has been very easy to work with on scheduling. I would, and actually have recommended him to other parents. If you're considering guitar lessons, I would say definitely use Curt because he's a great instructor and the fact that he is also a veteran who served his/our country faithfully for many years. I am extremely versed in various styles of music including both acoustic and electric rock, blues, country, jazz, and finger picking styles and would be a great asset to any beginner or novice students. I also have a degree in education from Old Dominion University and work wonderfully with both younger and older students.

I provide a complete instruction for all string instruments, bowed and fretted. I also give a complete instruction in music theory. I work with live instrumental performance groups. Composition and arranging services are offered. Fees are $35.00 per half-hour lesson. You provide the materials. My goal is to provide each student with the necessary knowledge and skill set to enable them to perform either as a soloist in their home and perform as a member of an ensemble, such as a church, neighborhood bands, etc. I can get this done in a two-year period if the student is diligent with his/her practice routine.

My method is fairly orthodox -- I teach what is needed for a student to actually be able to play songs in just a few weeks. While we will learn the basic chord shapes and scales, I will also teach alternative tuning, many of which have much simpler chord shaping, enabling some popular songs to be learned even by the beginner.

I can give the best of both worlds in my music lessons by combining an intuitive, ear training based approach with a strong foundation in music theory. My hope is to teach my students the skills they need to keep growing as musicians long after their lessons cease.
