Celsey is doing a great job with my 11 year old daughter for piano lessons! Highly recommend!
Great lessons for the whole family - our family has had piano lessons for beginner children (age 6), experienced children (12 and 15), to beginner adults! John is fun and engaging, keeps everyone motivated to practice and learn more.
My girls have started their private piano lessons since they were 6 years old. We have tried numerous teachers and various methods of teaching. But I start noticing the difference when we switched them to Fleming School of Music. Diana has a great way of communicating to students where kids not only understand the concept of the music but also grasp the soul of the music. This school incorporates rigorous and comprehensive music program so kids get to learn not just technique but also different aspects of the music structure. I highly recommend this school to everyone.
Friendly and knowledgable, Larry was my piano teacher for over 5 years, but together we dabbled in voice, sax, guitar, and even a bit of drums. He tailored lessons to exactly what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it. He can stick to the standard lesson plans, or adapt them to exactly what you want to learn. He's a good guy and a good teacher who gave me all the foundations to be confident in just about every aspect of music.
I took private flute lessons once a week for two and a half years from Sarah Pyle. Sarah is the best of my four other teachers over the course of my life. She is a marvelous player with a rich, round sound, beautiful intonaation, and expressive phrasing full of feeling and delicate nuance. Her pedagogy is impeccable. She has the ability to listen to a student and can immediately identify problems and help the student make improvements that result in greater trust and confidence in oneself as a player. I began taking lessons from Sarah at age 66 and she never let me think that anything that can be done on the flute was "beyond" me. She is gentle and kind and very encouraging and appreciative of her students' efforts. Her manners are lovely, egalitarian, and democratic--in other words, she is a delight, and I recommend her without reservation as a teacher for students of any age--children, adults, and even older people. Most of all, she makes each lesson so much fun that you want to practice so that you can have more fun with her the following week! This review written by EMS, Eugene, OR, 2-24-16.
I've had the distinct pleasure of both, playing music with and learning from Eric. Eric's kind, patient, and flexible manner make him a wonderful teacher, as well as, an asset as a bandmate. One of his many great talents is that he can take his knowledge of the fundamentals of learning music, and make the experience fun and motivating. He performs regularly around the greater Puget Sound area, check him out!
Flute lessons for all ages and levels! Currently, I am a doctoral candidate in flute performance and flute instructor at Chopin Academy of Music in Issaquah and teaching and freelancing. I have been teaching over 12yrs, including beginners and undergraduate level in college.
I am a professional flutist with a decade of performing and teaching experience. I provide flute lessons to all ages and abilities at a great rate. Your experience in music or your age doesn't matter; it's never too early or late to learn a new skill, or dust off that flute hidden in the closet. I have believed in teaching all aspects of music to my students, including music theory and music history, to help my students achieve their full potential. I use a mix of material, classical and modern music, to provide custom lessons for each student, and jazz, too! Whatever you're interested in, we'll study. I teach out of my home, but I am willing to make other arrangements if the student lives close by. I have openings for afternoons, evenings and Saturdays for half-hour and hour lessons. I hold a bachelor's degree in music performance, and music theory and composition. After winning my university's concerto competition in my senior year, and graduating with honors, I performed as the principal flute of the Bremerton Symphony for four years. This past spring, I was featured as a soloist and debuted one of my original compositions with the Bremerton Symphony. I love to teach and share my knowledge of music with others. I know that the economy is hard, but for a small investment of time and money, you can enjoy performing music for the rest of your life! Give me a call, and we'll set up a time to meet! Anna
Check out the voice and piano lessons for kids and adults of Alona, a talented and patient music teacher. She has been in the industry for 10 years.
