We've hired Bixno twice and Nolan has been professional and great to work with both times. The first he hung a TV for us and did the job quickly and well, even happily allowing our son to bother him with questions. The second time we hired him to install Smart Switches and he ran into some issues. Rather than giving up, he spent more than an hour trying to remedy the situation before determining that we needed an electrician, not a handyman. He apologized for being unable to complete the job and refused to charge us. We offered to at least pay SOMETHING for his time and he was adamant that he wouldn't take anything. We had an electrician come the next day and it turned out we needed new wires run into a couple of the switch boxes, which explained why Nolan was struggling and told us he was right - we needed an electrician not a handyman. We'd gladly hire Nolan again.
Dennis was prompt, diagnosed the problem easily, and drove to the store to buy light fixtures. Much cheaper than hiring an electrician. Workmanship was good.
Dennis installed a hot water heater and was a pro! Our HWH was an odd one that runs on gas, but needed electrical in order to power a vent. He showed so much expertise and was so easy to work with!
Eric came by to replace all our electrical outlets and ceiling fixtures. We were very happy with the work he performed, the speed at which he completed the work and his overall professionalism. Save yourself a search and hire him as you wouldn't find a better electrician on Thumbtack.
Changing from old electric range to new gas range & needed 110 vs the current 220 outlet. Electrician was on time; friendly and efficient. He did have to leave to go get a part, but it didn't cause the job to go over the 2 hour minimum pricing. I would have preferred he replace the old wires, as I'd been told by someone that leaving old 220 wired and adding 110 outlet can cause issues; however, he assured me it wouldn't be a problem. So far, so good! (it's only been a few days since range was installed)
All New Again is an outstanding general contractor company. Don’t let their webpage fool you; they do it all, not just restoration after something bad happens to your home. They are a full service contracting company who employ certified plumbers, electricians and builders. They are licensed, bonded and insured. I could not be at home while they worked on my kitchen reno for 2 days and I always felt like my house and possessions were safe-everything was still in my home after the work was done. They are honest and upfront about costs. They arrived to every appointment on time and prepared. They made multiple planning visits and even asked one of the project managers to come in a review the project. My plumber, Dan Gibson, came over at the end of a long Friday after a long week just to hook up my sink after the plumbing inspection passed. Erin Peabody, my electrician, was highly informative and produced excellent results. Josh Keller assisted them in the job and he was professional and when I needed advise about some dry rot on the exterior wall, he provided me a thorough explanation of what needs to happen to fix it and how I can “bandage” it up until next spring/summer. They answered all of my questions with patience and were professional and courteous the whole time. I know they are not the cheapest or are they the most pricy. They are fair and their work is outstanding. I recommended them to a friend the other day, she called them and Dan called her back within hours and had an appoint set for the next week. She is incredibly pleased. Other contractors I called either never returned my call or failed to call me back after meeting with me. I will never use any other contractor ever for major home reno or repair. Amy
Electrician was thorough and enjoyable. He took the time to figure out the problem and fix it. So glad I called as it was a safety issue that could have been bad.
We rewired an entire house in 2 days! How many holes did we have to cut in the wall? 2!!! If that is not a job well-done, I don't know what is. James is great! He went above and beyond to get my project complete over this memorial day weekend. So here are my top 5 greatest reasons to hire James: 1.) Knowledgeable: Out of all 5 electricians to come look at my house and give me a quote (all from Thumbtack), James was the only one to even look in the attic and crawlspace to get the full scope of the job. He told me exactly how hard it would be and what needed to happen. James also carefully explained what he was thinking to get it done so I understood exactly what needed to happen. This guy knows his stuff. James's knowledge extends from the technical mapping of every outlet to which tool is right for each part of the job. He even thought to buy small-tooth saw bits so we could have a cleaner cut on my plaster wall. Knowledge like that is why I could make a quick easy patch and I recommend James for sure. He customizes your whole experience to your house for every piece of equipment, space and timeline. 2.) Care and Quality: James took time to explain everything he was doing for me, and would answer any question I had. At the end of the project I know how to add an extra outlet myself and I know how my whole house works! I know the ins and outs of every wire and where it goes. James is a patient teacher and took time to give me a lesson on everything, which as a homeowner is invaluable for my time and money! You can't pay for these kinds of custom lessons. Additionally, James made sure my pregnant wife was comfortable during this entire process, kept the fridge on and made it as convenient as possible for us to be without some electricity for any span of time. He would often suggest we work one way in order to let my wife use the Air conditioning in a room during 80 degree weather. James was always there for me, no matter how long I wanted to keep going. For two days James stayed until 1am just to help make sure everything got done on my timeline! James also went to the store with me twice to make sure we had the correct materials. 3) NO HOLES IN MY WALLS: Seriously, to only have to drywall two spots after rewiring an entire house is a blessing. Easy clean up afterwards too. I appreciate this to no end. I have had guys in the past cut giant holes with no regard of how much time it would take to fix. James was careful, found the studs and allowed for overlap in the cut. I can cut a piece with a paper overlap easy now. 4) Brought my house to code: James is expert. He brought my house to code, where it was seriously out of compliance with state standards. He organized my breaker box so it is easy to understand and took time to troubleshoot and label everything for future use. 5) Customization and Price: James took time to walk through everything with me and ask where I wanted new fixtures or outlets. He asked where I wanted switches and lights and made it all happen. His price beat everyone's by $2000 dollars minimum, and he was totally fine negotiating. Best of all, James named the price and any customization was included. I added all sorts of fixtures and outlets for NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Flat pricing. I highly recommend James. I can't say enough good about him.
Art responded to my request for help with a leaky toilet. It had been installed improperly during the construction of my new house, and the construction plumbers had come back to fix it, but were incompetent! Art came out and at my request installed a flange extender kit which solved the problem of the original flange being installed too low. He was very professional and got the job done. He cleaned up after the project, and after the caulking dried, no leaks. I will ask Art to work on projects at my home as needed in the future. Thanks, Art!
Ray was able to help me out in a pinch when I needed a quick electrical repair done. He was able to come out same day and performed the job within 24 hours. Would hire again!
Travis was an excellent electrician who was always communicative and did his best to accommodate my schedule needs. I would recommend Element to everyone. Inspection passed without any hitches and even the inspector noted: "It makes it easier when you have a great contractor." I couldn't agree more.
Very knowledgeable electricians. They were very professional and friendly. I definitely recommend this company.
Ryan and his team were AMAZING to work with! My loft remodel had wires coming from all directions and was overwhelming to any other electrician that came to price out the job. (And even to my 79 year old Dad who used to be an electrician!) I needed to rewire and change my kitchen and loft space completely, various new lighting locations, plug ins moved around, bathroom fan rewired, new stove, oven and refrigerator rerouted, rewired and set up, centering and wiring a chandelier hanging 12 feet up on my ceiling, etc. They were on time, efficient, and did the job in 1/3 amount of time and price that the other two electricians who I received bids from said it should take and cost. It was a really easy and stress free experience. Everyone I worked with at West Seattle Electric (Ryan, Scott and Mark) were extremely knowledgeable, patient and straight forward communicating professionals, as we discussed the pros and cons on all the options for each situation. I will ONLY recommend West Seattle Electric and already have to everyone I know. Because of the outstanding and positive experience I had with West Seattle Electric, I am currently re-evaluating my experience with my current contractor and now hold any professional I work with on my loft remodel to the same professional and amazing level West Seattle Electric delivered. If you want straight forward, efficient, knowledgeable and get it done right, West Seattle Electric is the place to go!
I cannot say enough how awesome Steve is. We had a really messed up wiring in one of the switch in our new home. Steve was so dedicated to solving the underlying issue and went underneath the house to get everything in the right shape. I can tell he is super experienced in his job and very efficient in troubleshooting strange problems. He is the most reliable electrician one can expect.
After being let down by our previous electrical contractors we contacted Jacob Electricians. They responded immediately and the job was completed the same day. The service and commitment to us is as good now as it was the first time we called them out. If any company should require an excellent and reliable services for electrical installation and repairs I have no hesitation in recommending Jacob Electricians. Matthew Johnson Sammamish, WA
Very good job removing our ceiling fan and installing the new light in a difficult area. Really nice electrician, clean, efficient and friendly. He even appreciated our neighbors cat trying to help him out with with the cords! I will definitely use them again.
Eric is my electrician for life. He bid, performed, and got the work he did inspected with no hassle to me. His work is excellent, he is fast and friendly, and finally professional and can answer all your electrical questions. He is one of the best trade professionals I have ever found. I won't ever worry about finding an electrician again.
Robert from Illuminate Contracting is very professional. The electricians do high quality work and are courteous to our tenants. They clean up after themselves and leave the job site looking clean. After using them on several lighting projects I have recommended them to my company and we now use them for most projects.
These guys are first class, they got the job done at the agreed price. I would use them again, and would gladly recommend them to any other General Contractor out there. Andrew Smith, President Capstone General Contracting, Inc. Seattle, WA
