I hired Sam to tear down and dispose of a structure on our property, and to dispose of a few cubic yards of yard waste. Sam is perhaps the BEST communicator I have ever met in a sub-contractor. I found him to be punctual, easy to work with, honest, and fairly priced. He did a good job, and did it exactly when he said he would. Reliable, honest, and reasonable is five stars, in my book.

Rob is an excellent person to work with. He is very detail oriented and makes sure things are taken care of overall. He understands the big picture and what are trying to do and got work done at my house. He was affordable compared to other contractors and am happy that his work is of good quality. I would highly recommend Rob and I have been hiring him for other jobs every since :-)

Jorge and his crew did a really nice job for a very reasonable price. They installed insulation, hung and taped drywall (with a smooth finish), painted the exterior and painted the interior of a garage-turned-studio / workshop. I am a bit of a 'perfectionist on a budget'... so probably the most annoying kind of customer to work with. And while I did have to make a few requests throughout the job that I thought were sort of obvious (like covering the garage doors in plastic because the black exterior paint was misting on them), they were always very accommodating and wanted me to be satisfied with the project. So just be very specific at the beginning about your expectations and tell Jorge if anything comes up that you're not satisfied with, and I'm sure you'll be pleased with the end result. One example... the floor was left with white drywall dust and mud splatters on the concrete (even though I had mentioned that it was our final flooring and not going to be covered up), and when I texted Jorge about it, his wife called me right away and they came over that evening to scrub it clean. They are really nice people to work with, and it's apparent that they care about their customers. I would work with them again on future projects.

I highly recommend Anthony and his team! We needed a very last minute floor installation and they really went the extra mile on our project. Anthony came out to give an estimate where he let us know all the costs up front and the estimated time. While ripping up some of the old floor they found an ant infestation. Not only did they inform us right away, they took care of the issue and guided us on next steps. They did all of this without any extra charge. They took a lot of time to answer all of my questions and did exceptional work! I will definitely be hiring Anthony for future projects!

The owner did a great job installing our wood floors and our back splash! He was very professional and even willing to go the extra mile on some detailed work. It's so hard to find a quality contractor who values the customer's satisfaction like Igor. I highly recommend!!

Formed and poured ~4ft x 10ft. concrete slab and step. It came out beautifully. They were very easy to work with. Ezequiel listened to my requests and instructions and dealt with all without a hitch... and with a smile. Very nice light broom finish on the concrete. Very nice edging and seams. Quick and responsive. Price was reasonable for the work performed. I couldn't be happier.

I don't normally take the time to write a review, but in this case, my experience with Patrick at Glacier Peak was so exceptional I wanted to pass along the reference. Patrick is a highly skilled concrete contractor who is reliable, hard working and honest. I hired him for my 4-stall driveway paving and he did not disappoint. His quality work speaks for itself and I found his bid to be market competitive (I received 4 or 5 bids before selecting Patrick). If you're looking for a concrete contractor in the Seattle area, you'd be hard pressed to find better than Glacier Peak.

Robert & Julie, I can’t express my gratitude enough to both of you for the excellent work you did for my mother! I was lucky to have found you through Thumbtack. You responded to my request within a couple hours and met me and my mother the very next day. You walked in to an awful situation…a total mess, due to a bad, inexcusable, sloppy delivery job from Sears. Their laziness caused severe water damage from the new refrigerator my mother purchased, as they did not put on the new water hose (which my mother paid for) and left the old one on, which split open and caused a leak. My mother (who is 71 years old) and I were getting nowhere with Sears. They didn’t want to take responsibility. We didn’t know how to proceed. You went way above and beyond your job as a contractor. You told us about the laws in Washington State and that Sears and their delivery contractors are 100% liable. You said you would make all the calls and that she wouldn’t have to pay a dime. You called all the right people (which took hours and hours of your time) and got the ball rolling! You were able to get her home owner’s insurance to step in right away and pay for the damages upfront so you could begin working right away, so that my mom could use her kitchen, hallway, and bedroom again. You were able to get her home owner’s insurance to go after Sears/delivery Contractor Company! You also did many, many other things for us. You noticed little things here and there that needed to be fixed in her house and didn’t charge her for fixing them. Nobody else would do this. One of the many things you did that goes way above and beyond is that you saw what a hassle it was for mom to get in and out of her house, due to the doors and screen doors having 3 separate keys!!! Julie—thank you for going and making her one key that fits all of the doors!! You also dealt with Home Depot for us, for damaged doors they put in and the damage they caused installing them. You again made all the calls (which took hours of phone time again) and were able to get the store manager and supervisor out to mom’s house. You got her half her money back and got the OK to fix it properly and repair the damage! You certainly didn’t have to do this. But I know you did it because you heard what a nightmare it had caused my mother and that they were not being fair to her. Thank you for the fantastic work you did fixing my mother’s house, Robert! Thank you, Julie, for all of your help, sitting with my mom and being her friend, and helping out Robert every step of the way. You both are very compassionate, honest, hard-working, and all-around awesome! You took the stress off my mom by taking care of everything. EVERYTHING!! As you know, this is just a short summary of what you did for us. We know that you are way more than a contractor. You both are beautiful people with big hearts. I’ll be forever grateful to you. I needed to remove an old retaining wall that was falling down and rotting. It was made of railway ties and was 70' long and 5-6' high. Julio and his crew did a great job without complaining. The job turned out to be much bigger than anticipated. All the work had to be done by hand including the removal of 80 old HEAVY ties from a steep hill. They also had to carry most of the stone and fill in 5 gallon buckets due to the location of a shed and the collapsing hillside. The wall itself collapsed adding to the difficulty. Add to that the nasty cold and rainy weather and it was not fun. They replaced the wall with new 6x6x8 treated landscape timber and reinforced it with posts in concrete. They also installed a drainage system which the first wall did not have. Throughout it all, they had a tremendous attitude and were promising that the job would get done and that they wanted to do it right. Julio did not ask for more money than his bid(even though the job probably took twice as long as planned). I did voluntarily give him additional funds. It was well worth it and the wall looks great. I now have confidence that my shed and house will not be sliding down the steep hill into the creek.

Derek did a great job for us! We hired his company to remove and old concrete stoop and a small concrete slab. He was very flexible in scheduling a visit so he could do the estimate and then promptly had it to us by that afternoon. His work was great too. Just as asked the stairs and slab were removed complete with disposal as advertised. I could not be more satisfied.

Art (TJ) was the BEST find of all the contractors we have used on Thumbtack! We had a difficult drywall project and his work was stellar, going above and beyond. Nicest guy too- very friendly and professional ...and excellent at communicating. Art met our specific scheduling needs and we were so impressed by him. Will definitely have him out again for any more drywall or construction needs. Thanks Art!

John was great to work with as a painter, and we will for sure use him again as a contractor. He is great person to get along with and he gets the job done. Couldn't be more pleased. Painted our whole house in a reasonable amount of time, and we appreciated that we could go to work and trust our house to him. Thanks John!!!

Excellent work attitude. I had them to redo my concrete porch. Everything was done on time as was promised, very professionally. During the work, extremely hot weather hit Seattle which could affect the material they were applying so the guys would make a break from 2pm to 7pm then worked till midnight and even later to get the project done. They exceeded all my expectations. Highly recommended. Amazing work ethics and professionalism.
