Great experience. Martin came promptly and before he started working on it explained how my fireplace works and the likely cause of the problem. He also explained to me how the charge would be depending on his diagnosis. He then proceeded to work and always making sure the area kept tidy and clean. Within an hour, the work was done and now my fireplace works beautifully. I thought the cost was very reasonable. I wish every contractor I hired can be like Martin. Highly recommend.

Patrick came to the house to do a chimney inspection on her recently purchased home. He told us our two chimneys were in good enough shape that they do not require cleaning. Pat was on time and gave us some good advice about how to address our smoky and leaking fireplace/chimney. We are going to follow his recommendations and will be having the work done.

They serviced the chimney but then never came back for the follow up work. They also were not very helpful with the gas stove fireplace. They just told me that they don’t service my model and to find someone else. Overall, they could communicate a bit better and maybe just had me use another service other than just getting what they could from me at the time. If you just need a chimney sweep and a cleaning though, they are probably okay.

A wonderful experience today December 20... Technician was very professional and friendly. Explained our problem and he promptly went to work... Our Heat n Glo gas fireplace is 16 years old and had never really been professionally cleaned... Whoa! He made it look amazing and fixed Pilot light !! Works and looks great... Even though he’s new to Thumbtack, he has over 6 years of chimney experience in Seattle, and it really shows. He did an amazing job cleaning my very dirty chimney/flue—it looks brand new now. He came fully prepared with all the tools in his van and took great care to protect my home, masking everything off so no dust or debris spread around the house. On top of that, he went above and beyond by helping me fix a cap on my chimney that wasn’t even on the list of work, and gave me helpful advice on crown maintenance and upkeep.
