Emerald City provided an amazing buffet dinner for 50 of our friends. We had a party at Populuxe brewing and they created a fantastic summer menu to fit our budget. Highly recommend using them for your party.
We hosted a dinner party for 10 at our home. Nola and her assistant Flo prepared an amazing meal, from appetizers through dessert. Nola was so easy to work with through the planning stages and had great ideas for how to optimize our home and time with our guests. As if the delicious food weren't enough, she also made sure the kitchen and dining room were clean before she left, which was an added bonus to an otherwise exquisite evening. I would highly recommend her and will not hesitate to call her again when we entertain.
The Great Surprisal was hired to be our event coordinator as well as serving as our emcee. This is an annual dinner/fundraiser for a small non-profit. Amelia worked with us from the beginning finding a caterer, hiring musicians, working with venue, coordinating volunteers for our silent auction as well as other parts of our evening. We increased our net income by over 25%! We had used the venue before but with the creativity and cost conscious Great Surprisal we had a totally transformed 'gym' from years gone by. Past attendees commented on the greatly improved environment, excellent food and the overall sense of a better-planned event. We will work with The Great Surprisal again and encourage others to do so. Last year we worked with The Great Suprisal as an emcee only. Customers should definitely check out 'Gina' as an addition to a party or event. We are very pleased with The Great Surprisal's work ethic and creativity of working on a limited budget.
I hired them for a Halloween event and they OVER delivered in a huge way! The party lights, music, fog, and mc were the hit of the party! They made the event one of the best I have produced in 30 years and definitely made me look good as the event planner. I will definitely hire them again for future events and would highly recommend them.

We worked with Shelby for almost a whole year to plan our wedding. We were out of state for most of the time, but she was great with using Skype and keeping a timeline of tasks. We would have regular meetings to go over ideas or plans, but she was always available and answered in a timely manner if we had a question outside of our meetings. The most important aspect is that she really listened to what we wanted and the day turned out better than I could have imagined! Shelby made the whole process stress free and we didn't have to worry about anything the day of. I would highly recommend her for any party/wedding planning or decorating/designing needs.
Matthew is the best officiant, Emcee, DJ, party starter, friend, etc. out there! He truly made our wedding so perfect. There aren’t enough words to express how grateful we were to have him by our sides on our big day! I knew after one Skype call with Matthew that he was the PERFECT person to perform our ceremony. It felt like I had known him forever and we were old friends picking up where we had left off. Our situation was a bit different. My now husband and I live and Texas so we didn’t get the chance to meet Matthew in person until a month or so before the wedding. Finally, my mom and I met up with Matthew for lunch and in one meeting had EVERYTHING planned. He helped us think through every tiny detail and offered amazing recommendations to make our ceremony perfect for us. I hadn’t had that much fun at a lunch in a long time! Not only did Matthew officiate our ceremony, but he was also our DJ and Host/Emcee. Having Matthew there the entire evening was the BEST decision we made. He truly set the tone of our wedding and made everyone feel so involved and special. He captured the attention of everyone while keeping the focus on Tony and I. By the end of his “pow pow” before our ceremony, I think our entire crowd felt as if they had known him for ever. They felt comfortable with him and that feeling carried over into our reception. The entire place was filled with so much love. He has a magical way of bringing everyone together in that special moment. His beautiful words and bright personality radiated throughout our wedding. Matthew worked so beautifully with us to create the perfect vows, wedding, party, everything! Our day wouldn’t have been as perfect as it was if Matthew wouldn’t have been a part of it! I would highly, highly recommend Matthew for ANY event! He truly wants to make everything perfect for your event and becomes a part of your family! He’s absolutely THE best! We love you Matthew! Karen is a pleasure to work with and really takes the time to understand your needs and wants for your party. She works with you to come up with a personal design and makes everything come to life . I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to add something different to their party or event. Her candy buffet was a totally hit at my birthday party. I hired Mary to plan and coordinate for my husband's surprise 40th birthday party for approximately 80 adults and children. Mary exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Mary was always available to answer my questions and I felt like my party was her priority. Mary listened to me and my ideas and was able to see my "vision" for the event and went above and beyond when it came to executing the details. Mary was prompt, professional, organized, detail orientated, and her staff was extremely courteous. We will absolutely refer Mary/Mardee's Design and use her services again in the future!
Dana Sue helped us during a party we threw for a school auction. She was punctual, organized, and helpful in every way. She asked good questions, and anticipated things we might need (that we hadn't though of). Also, during the party, she was great at working away in the background, helping us out, without needing to ask questions every step of the way. We would use her again in a heartbeat!

Caitlin was an amazing help for my fiancé and I during the beginning stages of our wedding planning. She helped create a vision statement that encompassed both of our goals and desires. My husband and I didn’t plan on having a big, exuberant wedding. We wanted something small and intimate, but also special. Bianca handled everything with grace and made the day perfect! With just a month or so notice she was able to pull everything together and truly wowed us. She is extremely empathetic to where I felt like she could read my mind and knew just what to say and recommend to where I didn’t have to be stressed on our big day. Katie at Cascade Event planned an event for my business party and it turned out excellent! Katie was very professional yet relaxed at the same time. The event went seamlessly, everything from the major logistics to the minute details. Everyone loved the party (particularly the decor) which I attribute mostly to Katie and her planning. I will definitely use Cascade Event Design in the future.
We used Close to Creative for my son's 3rd birthday party, and it was perfect! Elliott is really into the Octonauts, so the Close to Creative team created a whole Octonauts/underwater adventure theme for him. There were elaborate reefs (both edible and non-edible), tons of sea creatures, and a gorgeous jellyfish hanging over it all. The food was all ocean themed and delicious. They had me use Pinterest to communicate my vision, then took it from there. Using the Pinterest medium was so easy and providing visuals like that left no ambiguity in either of our minds about what we were looking for. Elliott had a great time and still talks about his Octonauts birthday, months later. I was too busy watching him marvel at everything to take many pictures myself, but the Close to Creative Team captured it all, so check out their website!
