Our experience at Studio Savage has been fabulous. My daughter asked me for violin lessons and we couldn't find a better match. Theresa is very patient and explains very well to my daughter what she need to practice during the week. The lessons are good and fun, some times lessons involve games than after a few weeks transform into songs on the violin. Also, my daughter is catching fast on notes and reading music while she plays. Most important, my daughter is still exited about the violins, I am happy because she is doing progress, and we both love the teacher.

My teenage daughter really enjoys her violin lessons. She feels like her technique has improved a lot with Clare’s direction and that they use the lesson time efficiently. She also enjoys Clare’s teaching style. Clare is punctual and responds quickly to texts or emails about questions. I’d highly recommend her.

Andi is very warm, welcoming and just a very pleasant person. She is skilled at teaching violin, and pays attention to the small details of teaching a beginner, from proper stance to perfect instrument placement. She is also very reasonably priced. 5 stars!

I have had violin lessons with Jared for almost 4 months now. I have some basics in violin but had not played for 17 years. Jared helped me to get back to playing pretty fast. His technique is great and the teaching is pleasant. He makes the learning fun. He is also very patient and flexible with my busy work schedule. Thanks!!!

Sarah provided viola instruction for my daughter through her 5th and 6th grade years. Beyond being an exceptional musician, the thing that really stood out was that Sarah worked to make a connection with my daughter. She found ways to teach her that followed her interests, integrating technique in ways that felt fun and encouraging creativity and exploration with her music. We were very sad when Sarah moved to her new home but happy to have had her as an instructor.

I learned more from Bryn in 30 minutes (about special hacks in playing the Violin) than I did in 5 years as a youngster trying to play the thing in Jr. High and High School (a million years ago). Maturity has it's benefits, and so does a good Violin tutor. Maybe, just maybe, I CAN play this thing!

As a parent, I am thrilled with the experience my daughter has had learning piano over the last 3 years. She is happy and excited to attend her lessons because the instructor makes the lessons challenging, meaningful, interesting, and fun. I am amazing at how much she has learned and how much support she has had. We couldn't be happier with our choice for piano.

She designs her approach to the individual student and is equally comfortable teaching classical score reading and folk tune ear learning. From her own extensive performance and teaching experience, she understands how to inspire confidence and knows just how far students can and should be challenged. After having had a wide variety of music lessons as both a child and an adult, I have been so pleased to have found the perfect teacher at last.

Ananta is an exceptional violin teacher. She's patient, professional and fun. She starts from the ground up, leaving her students with a lifetime of great habits. She has given my daughter a love for music that will last a lifetime and you can't put a price on that! Ananta is amazing in her own right, making students want to practice so they can be as amazing as her someday. I highly recommend her for any student at any age. You don't come across a music teacher like her everyday.

      About

I teach at a studio in Seattle's University District. I teach students ages 3-18 of all levels. I particularly enjoy working with younger students. I teach mostly using the Suzuki method, but also supplement with other materials. I believe that learning music and playing the violin should be both challenging and rewarding. I work with each student to set and achieve their individual goals. I believe in creating a warm and positive environment for students and parents. I expect students (and parents) to be willing and able to do daily practice for the best results. have a Bachelor's in violin performance from the Eastman School of music and Master's from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh PA. I have over 8 years teaching experience, and have been teaching here in Seattle for the past 2 years. The studio is 21 students now with room for more! My rates are: $60/hour $50/ 45 min $40/ half hour I offer free 1/2 hour trial lessons to potential students. Please email me with any questions and/or to set up a lesson!
