Donna is an excellent instructor, adept in a variety of yoga styles. Over the last few years I have taken her flow classes at my neighborhood cross training gym, enjoyed her delivery of various set sequences at multiple hot yoga studios and also attended private yoga classes for golfers. She is professional with a fun, welcoming personality.
We had a private group yoga class in our backyard and were looking for someone who would make it fun but still challenging. Julieann was perfect -- she was really nice, fun, and thoughtful. We appreciated that she brought equipment for us and was open to mixing things up when we wanted to try new moves. We had a great time with her and I'd definitely ask her to come again if I'm ever back in Phoenix!
Autumn was a wonderful instructor for our private yoga session of five! We we were a diverse group of levels and her empathetic and positive style were a perfect fit. I would highly recommend seeking out Autumn for a practice that is equal parts calming and challenge. What a great experience!
Donna works extremely well with my pace. I have no yoga experience and I have back pain but she is very patient and clear. She is very calm and relaxed which is important for a yoga instructor. Although I have been doing yoga for only a month I already see good results. I am very happy to have Donna as a yoga instructor.
Danielle is a natural teacher. She is a very unique yoga instructor that lives what she teaches. You feel comfortable and at ease from the minute you walk in the door always greeted with a smile. After a class you will feel inspired, motivated, and ready for the rest of your day. I would highly recommend Danielle and Come To Being. - Laura Ergood
I have a scoliosis, and wanted to get some yoga instruction to help it. I have no experience with yoga. I found Janet and took some private lessons with her. What made her stand out was that she also had a scoliosis which she corrected a lot of. I liked having an instructor who succeeded, not getting an instructor that would simply show me some poses. Janet also knew what poses I needed to do, and was patient at showing me. She is affordable in costs. During her lessons, she gives a lot, and has a lot to teach. Sometimes it was too much to digest it all. Shortly after beginning instruction with her, I was in Las Vegas, doing a lot of walking. I pulled something in my left thigh/hip area. I could hardly stand or walk without pain. After I found a quiet place, I started doing some of Janet's stretches for a while. The pain was greatly reduced. By the next day, I was totally fine and didn't feel any discomfort.
I highly recommend Alejandra as a yoga instructor and health coach. I now study with her three times a week and each session is tailored for my needs that day. It might be a full Asana practice with meditation, mat Pilates or ballet / bar work or a combination of all three. I definitely give her five stars! ~Laura L. Phoenix, AZ
Lisa Marie is a very passionate and knowledgable yoga instructor. I would highly recommend her.
I was not very familiar with yoga before I started sessions with Renee. I found Renee to be a caring and thoughtful teacher. She shaped our sessions around stretches, breathing techniques and meditation that would be specific in aiding in my healing process after surgery. Renee encouraged me to go at a pace that I was comfortable with. The result were so significant in a short period of time. If you are looking for a positive and professional yoga teacher, I would highly recommend Renee.
Michelle & I are both yoga instructors who volunteer at our neighborhood YMCA. Michelle's gift of teaching yoga includes all the elements of a meaningful and balanced practice that her students appreciate and enjoy. Her classes are appropriate for all ages and all levels of experience. Over the past 10 years I have witnessed Michelle's love for all styles of yoga continue to grow and evolve. I consider her a real student of yoga on and off the mat. She is adored by all!
A year ago I began the practice of hot yoga at my daughters encouragement. My daughter is a yoga instructor and said it would be good for me at this stage of my life. As a senior citizen, I was reluctant to start the practice of hot yoga. I agreed to take yoga classes at my daughters studio and that is where I met Shelly White another yoga teacher and friend of my daughter. I immediately fell in love with Shelly. Her big beautiful smile and her caring personality was what I found to be encouraging to me starting this program at my age. I soon joined a yoga studio near my home and was pleasantly surprized that Shelly taught one of my Friday afternoon classes. A bundle of nerves starting this new venture, Shelly sooned calmed me down and was very helpful to me as I learned the class and the poses. Shelly made me comfortable by being so helpful and patient with me that I never missed her Friday afternoon class after that. We have become great friends and Shelly is the greatest teacher who helped a senior start a new program of hot yoga.
I love the intimate space, personal attention, and care provided at this yoga studio. Each instructor teaches from a deep knowledge and personal understanding of what works best when healing the body and mind. I recommend this studio.
Gail worked with my sister and I - both in our 60s and had never done yoga - she was wonderful and both love yoga now - if you are new to yoga - she is patient and soft spoken - you never feel uncomfortable - I would highly recommend her.
Natalie is THE yoga teacher....that one teacher you eventually find that makes you understand what yoga is for me. For me, it's not about "yoga butts" or $110 leggings or doing the most convoluted pretzel shape in class (though it will work your body and increase your flexibility like nobody's business!). Natalie does an amazing job gently emphasizing that time on your mat is deeply personal. She offers tons of variations so nobody feels left out. She cues perfectly, which makes class smoother and easier to follow. Because of Natalie, I can get something out of any yoga class I visit, whether she is there or not. Natalie changed my yoga and my yoga changed me.
I have purchased a package from Rose Velasco for private yoga lessons. I love the fact that she does an intake to see what limitations you have as far as medical conditions, i.e lumbar, muscular, musculoskeletal etc.....She creates a program taylored for you, as well as patient, her skills are amazing, and her spirit is energizing!! I would highly recommend Rose at Blue Sky Green Mat Yoga to anyone who is a beginner or a pro at yoga anytime. She's amazing all around!! Namaste'

We all have unique anatomies, learning styles, and particular areas of interest, and yoga is most beneficial when it is adapted to these aspects. I love understanding my student's needs and carefully designing practices that are both healing and motivating. Individual students are then empowered to be active participants in their own healing process, fitness goals, or journey of transformation.
I am finishing up my yoga teacher training. I will be a 200-hour registered yoga teacher in September. I have a passion for yoga and helping others.
