Sifu Higgs is a great teacher. I have found nothing else like I Liq Chuan in my life. Understand that I Liq Chuan is a form of Kung Fu that focuses on both the internal and external areas of martial art. So you get the "spiritual" and tai chi like principles along with learning how to fight. That being said, this martial art is not taught like any other art I have ever done, and it may be seem strange, but if you stick with it you will be unstoppable, and Ashe is one of the best to teach you.
To say that Master Peter Hill is a wonderful teacher is an understatement. His passion for Tai Chi and Martial Arts have inspired me as a student. I have learned from him a deeper understanding that Martial Arts are more than just sound and form but a way of looking at life and dealing with any conflict or challenge with intent and strategy. Yuri is an excellent instructor for qiqong and tai chi. I especially enjoy the structure of his class, moving us from qiqong to tai chi and then back to qiqong is marvelous. It allows you the feeling of letting go and just floating through the moves in a steady easy flow. He has a way about him that just takes you right where you need to be along with his insight to the way your body moves while relaxing and how your breath drives the movements. I am very pleased to be able to practice with him and would recommend his classes to anyone interested in these disciplines.
I attended my first Tai Chi class taught by Roxanne approximately 9 months ago, and was not quite sure it (tai chi) is what I needed,as I was concerned about my flexibility. One class was all I needed with Roxanne as the Instructor, as , she won my confidence in that very first class. My coordination was at best, lacking. Roxanne worked and still works with me to accomplish the (beautiful and graceful) moves of tai chi and balance. She is compassionate, patient, inspiring, and shares her wealth of knowledge regarding healthy aging practices, balance, fall prevention and nutrition. I look forward to attending my tai chi / qigong classes.
Thomas is a bad ass teacher! I came into Tai Chi knowing very little about it, all I knew is that it would move energy throughout my body. From the very first class Thomas was attentive to my "beginner needs" breaking down the movements for me allowing me to memorize one movement at a time. I also love how he incorporates the application to each of the movements, showing me how I would use them in real life situations. His skill set and knowledge base makes me feel safe about practicing and conditioning without hurting myself. I learn best this in a non- strict non-invasive setting, Thomas's way of teaching is so calm and encouraging it has helped me grow as a student and as an energy worker.
