Her students always seem excited to be there... She teaches at the students pace for a more personal lesson, but at the same time runs her business in a professional way and holds respect for her clientele... Mary Wagner is a wonderful piano teacher. I tried taking lessons back in my 20’s and after six months I was still doing just very basic things. I’m in my 50’s now and I wanted to give piano another try. I haven’t even been with Mary for six months yet and I’m already moving my hands all over the keyboard and playing songs other than “Mary Had a Little Lamb”. She is amazing!

Thumbtack Spotlight

Music Everywhere

(42 reviews)

Learning to express yourself through music is one the best things you can learn in your lifetime. With the right mentor, taking on the challenge of mastering a new instrument can become effortless.

Among the more popular instruments out there is the piano, and in Mesa, Arizona, you can look up Music Everywhere which offers lessons across all learning levels. The instructors at Music Everywhere believe that the gift of music is such an incredible thing to share and teaching it to others is a way for them to leave their mark in the world. Learn more about them as the ahswer some questions below.

What do you love about your job?

I'm naturally a people-person and I find teaching others to play the piano truly gratifying. My students are so amazing; each one is so different and I love how this challenges me to teach them all in a unique way where each one learns best. Watching them set and reach goals brings so much joy into my life. I don't have children of my own so I consider teaching as my way to leave my legacy in this world - to leave the gift of music to all the people across the Phoenix Valley that I have taught to play the piano.

What or who inspired you to start your own business?

I want the freedom of working for myself, but only until several years ago when I got ill with Valley Fever and Meningitis did the chance for me to start my own business materialize.

Being stuck in a wheelchair for six months, I realized I could never return to the work I was doing before. However, I saw this as a blessing in disguise and took a leap of faith and trust that I was supposed to be on a different path. I found Thumbtack, followed their advice and promptly started a career teaching music. I had a few students immediately after signing up. My goal was to have enough students and income so that my husband could retire and it only took one year before I reached my goal. Now, I have so many students I have a waiting list. Thumbtack has been one of the best things that ever happened to me!
