Our daughter was not motivated to do her Algebra 1 work without a teacher. Miss Wilhite even agreed to do the homework so they can compare how they got the results. Miss Wilhite shares her passion for math with her students.

Excellent tutor. I have worked with a number of Spanish programs. My current education has been disjointed and Gina has worked well with determining my gaps and strengths. I also feel the one on one tutoring allows for better conversational skills.

Marie came to us in the fall of 2008 to be our son's personal teacher/tutor for sixth grade, while he as attending classes through the Arizona Virtual Academy. It was an incredibly positive experience for us all. Marie provided structure for our son and made learning some very "dry" material interesting and fun! She was able to adapt her teaching style to our son's special needs. This was very important as our son has a fairly low attention span with not much interest in academics. Thanks to Marie, our son was did very well in all of his subjects. Marie is patient, dedicated, responsible, flexible, highly skilled and clearly loves to teach! We were delighted to have found her. We highly recommend her to anyone looking to enhance their child's learning experience.

A sense of awe and discovery, coupled with the continuous practice of concepts and problems, will take students a long way in any topic of study. When tutoring students, I review the material, ask questions to confirm comprehension along the way, and provide a series of practice problems for implementation of what is taught. I aim to build self-confidence in such a way that one may eventually feel the need to seek consultation only once in a while. Keep in mind that an hour or two with a personal tutor is not the final answer. I encourage all of my students to practice in-between sessions in their own time. Create your own practice problems or search for examples on the internet. Check out books from the library that contain the material that you are studying. I even recommend, at some point, teaching someone else what you've learned. If you can explain or teach it, then, you have internalized the concepts. For inquiries regarding my rates, please send a message to my inbox. Thank you.
