I've been working with trainers for about 10 years, and JJ is truly the best trainer I have ever had. He is truly invested in helping you achieve your goals, and he provides me with the push and support that I need. Instead of doing the same thing over and over again (like so many trainers do), he varies the workouts and will adapt the routine to my energy and strength level... all while keeping me on track and pushing me. Better yet, he's a great guy. JJ was an awesome find, and I have no doubt that I'll continue to see amazing results.
I started working out with OJ towards the beginning of January- I had lead a sedentary lifestyle for a long time and felt kinda lost on where to begin. So far I've lost 14lbs, feel stronger, and feel more confident and capable while working out. I feel like he is a great choice for anyone started from a place of low fitness or obesity. PROS -it's private. I always felt very self-conscious working out in the big commercial gyms with tons of people around. There have never been more than 2 other clients (of his partner) during my sessions and often there is no one else. I can focus 100% on form and effort rather than getting caught up in how ridiculous, red-faced etc I must look -attention & assistance even outside of sessions. He's always quick to reply to texts whether its scheduling, nutritional questions, or asking for a routine to do. He's also been very accommodating when I've had to cancel or reschedule. -Limits! I feel he is so good in this department. I always leave a session feeling like I've been pushed to the very edge of my limits but not past- the only 2 times I went to far was due to stuff on my end that I hadn't mentioned (sick/hadn't eaten). He doesn't let me quit when I have to pause but can keeping going overall and he'll call me on it when he knows I can push harder, go faster etc, but he'll adjust the exercise if he sees I'm truly approaching the edge of my capabilities. And he's never misjudged which is which so far. Similarly, I can't get away with slacking on form due to fatigue or inattention but I'm not pushed to have form that I'm just not capable of yet (ex. pushups) This has probably been the biggest thing that keeps me coming back-I've had trainers who wanted more than I'm physically capable of, or pushed me to the point of failure which is very discouraging. -Each session is different and varied- I don't get bored. Also if I ask for a particular exercise he's always been willing to add it to the next session which is nice. -Sincere praise. When he tells me I'm doing a good job I know I actually have! That's way more encouraging than liberal amounts of undeserved praise CONS -The only con/downside is that I was initially looking to focus on lifting- reviewing moves, making sure my form was good, and developing a routine or 2 I could use at my regular gym. But I was also only planning to do a month of training and I'm at 2.5 now, and more than fulfilling my larger goal of general weightloss/fitness! So obviously it's a very minor complaint.
Thank you Jake for all your help I've been training with trainers for years but with with no real change ! You've changed my life by giving me the confidence and knowledge to totally transform my body.... I'm one happy customer :) x
I have trained with Paul Harvey for 5+ years. I have been working with various trainers for 15 years total, and had never found one who understood my goals and knew how to achieve them. When I started with Paul I was 178 lbs. At 6'4" tall, that was very skinny. My goal was to put on lean muscle. I've added about 30lbs of lean muscle and have a six pack. Paul advises me on how to achieve my goals both inside the gym and at home. He is a smart guy and can carry on a conversation about more than just working-out. He makes me laugh and we have lively debates about current events. Even when I take the skills I've learned from him to my own solo workouts, I still never sweat as much as I do when I work out with Paul. He is a great motivator.
I've definitely had my share of trying out different trainers/gyms/workout DVDs/group classes/boot camps, you name it and I've done it. Throw out those workout DVDs and cancel all your memberships. Trust me when I say Manuk is the one and only trainer you will need. I have been training with him for about a year now a couple times a week. Manuk really took the time on our first meeting to get to know me and my life style so he can plan a workout accordingly. He asked me my daily routine, food and drink Intake, job, what my goals were, etc.. Didn't miss a point to give me the best results. Manuk has given me results within this past year that I didn't even imagine were possible. He made sure he altered what I ate throughout the day (in a healthy and easy transition) to see quicker results. He is honest with you, well educated in the field, motivating, and his humor definitely is a huge plus!! Makes working out fun and not such a serious, in your face yelling kind of a workout.
Vinny has been an extremely motivating force in my life. I had always been intimidated by the gym scene and by trainers. Vinny alleviated both of these fears very quickly by instilling in me a sense of self confidence that I could absolutely meet my goals. He helped me realize the proper ways to eat and how frequently to increase my energy and metabolism. My body fat has decreased while my lean muscle mass has increased. He constantly challenges me and has made me realize that I am capable of anything, even the confidence to defend myself. Because I never thought that I could defend myself if I was ever attacked. This confidence has transferred over to many facets of my life.
when I first went to the gym Barbara gave me the complete tour when finished she said she was going to have one of her top senior fitness trainer :). a couple of days before I came in she called me and introduced herself and welcomed me to the gym. told me her schedule and checked mine with hers to make sure that it was good for me. when I finally came in Ronnie was already in session my fault:(, I was a lil late . she came over to me and started to work with me. she's very caring knowledgeable always looking out for me not to hurt myself and such a good hearted person and we're also from the same country!!! how great is that? Sandy is not your typical trainer but shes a good one! She doesnt yell at you and push you until you cry. Rather she counts your reps, cracks a joke, or talks to you to make the session time pass quickly. She keeps things from getting stale by never doing the exact same exercises in consecutive meetings. Sandy knows so many exercise variations that she will adapt your training if you dont like a particular exercise or want to focus on improving one thing or another. She is also one of the few trainers that is willing to come to your house or a local park to train you. I highly recommend her. Shell get you into better shape if youre willing to put in the effort too.
Heather is a great personal trainer. She is on time and has a positive attitude. She kicks my butt on every work out.
He is a great trainer! We hired him to work on our kids soccer skills. He brought his own equipment and he made it challenging and fun for them. I would highly recommend him.
Jim is an excellent trainer. He has great rapport, and he's very creative and inventive in coming up with ways to build muscle and core strength and stamina . So far we've met three times, and I feel 100% better already - fatigued but with a feeling of accomplishment. I actually look forward to each workout because I know Jim will help me meet my goals. What I like about Jim the best, though, is something he does after the workout. He just texts a word of encouragement or a thumbs up or a note on how I did. I've worked out with many trainers in the past, and no one has done that. It's a great way to keep this 66 year old motivated. I highly recommend him.
Worth every penny for sure. First, the facilities at Next Level Fitness are top notch and allow for variation in exercises. Equipment very well maintained. Lee is the type of trainer who listens to what you want to accomplish and helps you achieve that. I wanted someone to motivate me and push me and he was awesome at increasing intensity when needed while being very careful about avoiding injury. Knowing that I am a runner, Lee didn't focus as much on cardio. Instead, he tackled my weaknesses by focusing on compound movements and core exercises since I'm a beginner in strength training. In short, he is not a cookie-cutter trainer. The warm up and stretch routines he taught me have been very helpful in maintaining healthy and happy joints (specially since I run frequently). Furthermore, he helped learn how to continue training on my own beyond our sessions, unlike other trainers who just want your money. I feel prepared to hit the gym on my own for a while, but I will definitely be coming back to Lee. He is very flexible with his time and will go out of his way to accommodate you. Always on time, always prepared, very organized, and overall a pleasant person to be around.
I have been training with Eddie for just over 5 years now. He is a high quality person and well rounded personal trainer. He has a graduate level understanding of bodybuilding, weight loss and physiology. I would strongly recommend Eddie to anyone looking to improve there health and fitness lifestyle.
Jennifer is an all-around great human being and an amazing trainer. I wanted to find a trainer that I felt comfortable with and one that would listen to my health goals. Jennifer immediately made me feel at ease. I instantly felt like I was working out with a friend, but a friend who pushes me and keeps me accountable. I never felt like "just another client" to her. She cares about my progress and always keeps in touch with me throughout the week. She is available to answer questions re diet in between session and will even provide “homework” when needed. She is so energetic and sweet that I actually look forward to working out with her! Jennifer knows how to mix things up so that I don't get bored, strength training, circuits, cardio, weights, to name just a few. We never fall into a routine or gut stuck in a rut. She brings different work out equipment for us to use and challenges me at every session pushing me further than I ever imagined. Kelly helped me get into shape right before I became pregnant. She helped me focus on a work-out plan that fit well with my goals and what I wanted to achieve. She also customized a monthly meal plan exclusively for me and my interests. I couldn't be more happy with her dedication to push me when I needed the drill sergeant trainer, but also balance it out and be supportive when I was not feeling well or sick and needed to take things slow. Another plus factor with Kelly is that she LOVES dogs. We incorporated workouts that helped me focus on myself, without feeling guilty or losing out on time I could spend with my dog outdoors. Kelly is super professional, educated and experienced in personal training. I would recommend her to any of my closest family and friends.

First of all, its great to see Mami going independent. I am her former client, I moved to Chicago a while back, but hey, this girl really changed my body type from being obese to being in shape. I still do most of the work out that she has taught me and as she has done many sports such as gymnastics, martial arts, and dance, she taught me all the hard yet great conditioning that no trainers have never taught me. She is awesome, sweet, and super bad ass, yet she is hardcore some point because she wants to see her clients successfully reaching their goals. Elbert understood from the beginning what I wanted to work on. I’m always hesitant to workout with a trainer because I always end up bulking up and that’s not the results I want. Tara Berro was my first - and best - trainer the first time I joined the gym. She was patient, friendly, and knew exactly what she was doing to get me into shape.
