Anthony is awesome. He has great communication, designs tough yet effective workouts, always has a positive, upbeat attitude (even when under the weather!), and he is incredibly supportive! The gym is unique in that it doesn't feel like one of those massive 24 Hour Fitness behemoths that lack in the community department. God's Gym is very community oriented. Everyone supports one another, and it is really nice to see familiar faces every time I'm in the gym. The trainers want you to succeed and are not just in it to collect money. They legitimately want you to reach your goals, and that gets me through the grueling workouts 3 times/week. The equipment might seem obsolete at first glance. However, this is the kind of gym I imagine hardcore, loyal bodybuilding athletes go to train. Rocky Balboa would train at this gym whereas the scary Russian dude would be at Equinox (Rocky wins the fight in the end!). If you are looking for a no-frills, authentic gym experience, God's Gym is definitely a great place to go. I have only been training at this gym, but I look forward to sticking with it in the long run. Plus, they offer multiple training packages for all types, and it's very affordable. I'll see you at God's Gym!

It was a pleasure working with Anthony. He was on point from his emails to the diet and the workout regiment. It was wonderful waking up knowing that it wasn't like boot camp, but rather an exercise session that kicked your butt and made you feel good. He never pushed us too hard, but gave us enough motivation to drive us through each set. It was a great monetary deal we worked out for our "honeymoon body", but wished the price was more reasonable so we could continue as something that was a part of our lives. It was a real treat seeing familiar faces and waking up to the morning routine! We highly recommend Anthony and God's Gym.

Gerard will work you and with time you will see results if you put your part in. I've only done a few sessions but I can already see my body changing. I'm excited to see what else he has for me. He has a great personality which makes these sessions that much more fun . I love the workouts he gives me. They aren't easy but who said working out was going to be easy. You will be sweating within minutes. He also has his own gym in San Rafael and also where he lives which makes meeting up easier if you can't make it to San Rafael. He also offers boot camp classes which I also like. It works your abdominals,glutes, legs arms and overall core which is exactly what I need for weight loss. Gerard is a great personal trainer! He offers challenging workouts that have pushed me to reach my fitness goals and tailored my workouts to ensure I avoided flaring up any old injuries .I also found great value from Gerard keeping monthly records of BMI ( body mass index) checks , this allowed both of us to see/ track my progress. Kendall has changed my life. Last November I was getting exercising advice, meal planning. She started me slow to not overwhelm me, and helped me modify certain stretches. Vince is an incredible coach! I have been taking classes and private lessons from Vince for almost five years now, and it has changed my life! Before I began attending Vince's martial arts classes I was extremely shy and ashamed to go in because I was so over-weight. I would walk by his class and watch him and his experienced students and I so badly wanted to be there too. I finally decided to go in one day, despite of my hesitation, and that was the best decision I ever made. Since day one Vince has been extremely welcoming and tremendously patient and helpful. This last year I finally decided to take private training sessions with Vince and they are worth every penny. He's helped increased my cardiovascular and muscle fitness. Like a lot of folks, I’ve been trying to balance a busy schedule and spend a lot of hours during the day sitting in front of a computer. I came to Vince looking for help with conditioning and was curious about martial arts. I was also feeling rather nervous and shy about training. My observations so far: Vince listens carefully and knows how to ask questions that get right to the heart of the matter. He’s a rare combination of technical expertise and emotional intelligence, and more importantly a down-to-earth personable coach. He has the ability to drive the big picture (reminding me of goals) while at the same time paying attention to an amazing amount of detail (proper technique training). I absolutely love pad training with him (it caught me off guard how quickly it gets my heart rate going) and he mixes in TRX and Boot Camp elements into our training sessions to keep me engaged. No matter if you haven't worked out in your life or looking to change it up, Kelly Scott has what you are looking for. Nothing like an early morning bootcamp workout to start your day! I have been going to EmpowerFit for about 7 years. I have 4 kids, work full-time, and go school so my 5:30am workout in the park gets my day going! Kelly is a great bootcamp coach. She motivates, pushes you and makes you want more. She is great about following up with us if she hasn't seen us in awhile. Oh don't think you get off the hook if it is your birthday. She remembers everyone's birthday and you get to do some FABULOUS birthday burpees ;). I do have to say, the way she promotes health and fitness it ends becoming a habit and a way of life! I couldn't imagine not having my morning workout... and I don't plan on giving it up anytime soon! Thanks Kelly for everything!

When I first met Timur I couldn't run. Although I was athletic and SHOULD have been able to run, I couldn't. I had such anxiety around running - anxiety in general. Timur guided me through my fears in our 13 week session. Our first session we barely got 1/2 a mile in before I shut down. Without Timur I would have quit then and there because it was "too hard" but because of all of his background and his skills, he kept space for me at that time. I felt safe, I felt secure and I felt that he would see me, prepare me, hold me, coach me, push me, empower me in the next few weeks. Here's the good news, I didn't give up. I ended up running with EASE my first 5K about at the 10 week mark. Running became pleasurable! On top of the running, Timur and I would have therapy sessions. What made them magical was that he is able to integrate running into the sessions truly making this a whole body experience. Hands down, best investment of my money and time. And the icing on the cake - he does a camp for kids. The camp alone should be a requirement for all families.

I reached out to Timur at a time in my running career when I needed some guidance in reassessing my relationship with the sport. I had been training for the Olympic Trials and had experienced a particularly disappointing season, which had left me searching for a new approach. Timur was just what I was looking for. He was able to bring his background in therapy, his own experience as an elite athlete, and his martial arts techniques into our sessions. He created a safe space for self-discovery and growth. We delved into advanced body awareness, technical aspects of running, meditation, flow-state running, race planning, and even play. Wow... Just wow. At 1st I was hesitant as because of the price. That changed fast. After the 1st lesson I realized that if I were some how able to monetize the benefits of Timur coaching it would be astronomically greater than the price. How can you put a price on the joy I experience as my whole body flows over rolling hills light a kite on a breeze, a leaf down a stream, a facial system calling upon ever fiber and sinew.
