Cello lessons are a great way to anchor and guide your cello practice, regardless of your skill level. The cost of cello lessons will vary, depending on the reputation and experience of your teacher, the length and frequency of your lessons, and where you live. How hard is it to learn to play the cello?

Taking cello lessons can be a rewarding experience for students young and old. The rich sound of the cello is well-loved in classical music and is found in all genres of contemporary music from modern folk to rock. As with any instrument, how hard it is to learn to play cello depends on the practice and dedication you put into it. It’s true that some people are naturally more adept at learning instruments than others, but with lessons and a daily commitment, you too can learn to play the cello.

Cello lessons can be a smart investment, especially for new players. Even professional cellists benefit greatly from ongoing training, but for those new to cello it’s especially important for forming a strong foundation for playing. From the proper posture to understanding finger positions, regular cello lessons give you a benchmark to measure your daily practice against. With a professional cello teacher guiding you, the sky’s the limit.

Alex seems like a really passionate, patient teacher. We tried our first Piano lesson with him and our kids are back to loving music.

Vince has been teaching guitar lessons to my 7 year old daughter for the past 2 months. He is patient, encouraging, and teaches with a good balance of challenge and support. Vince is always prepared and uses a book to supplement his teaching. He writes notes to illustrate his lessons which helps my daughter practice at home. Vince is thoughtful and encourages my daughter to collaborate during lessons and also tries to incorporate music that she enjoys. He plans two recitals per year (summer and winter) for his students who include children and adults. My daughter participated in the June recital after only one month of lessons! Vince taught her to play the Happy Birthday song as a surprise for my husband whose birthday was the day of the recital. The program was held at a Pasadena park and Vince centered the event around the student performances and did not promote himself or his program as many music teachers tend to do. Vince is humble, gentle, and encouraging. He focuses on teaching his students to enjoy playing the guitar and to feel confident about expressing their music. I highly recommend him to anyone interested in guitar lessons. He visits our home weekly for private lessons. His rates are fair and he is flexible should we ever need to cancel/reschedule a class.

It's my luck to have found Lucas to be my jazz guitar teacher. He's friendly and resourceful, very easy to work with. As a teacher, he's professional and we always start on time. Lucas cares about what I'm interested in learning. He has constantly been able to provide me valuable advises on guitar practice and improvisation. If you want to seek out darn practical and efficient way to learn guitar, Lucas is the right person. I'm quite analytical and has a good grasp of music theories, but was slow at applying them to real playing. Because there are so much to study and practice in Jazz, knowledge became paralyzing. What Lucas did is he helped me commit to playing tunes with him in every session. He is good at removing my road blocks. By focusing on arpeggios instead of modes, I got a clearer mind during playing and was able to consistently create some artful lines after several sessions. My rhythm feel is getting better too. I think I'm on the right track now, and I'm glad I am taking his lessons.
