3 lessons already and singing has been much more fun! She is positive, honest, personal, knowledgeable, and a great resource! She's taught me to sing more naturally and how to perform and I'm glad I have the opportunity to learn from her! She certainly has a knack for developing this beautiful art in her clients! Thanks Jan!

Learning from Richard is awesome. What I love is how he focuses his lesson on you specifically rather than his other students. He's very open to working with different styles of music and has a classical/opera background, which he uses to demonstrate, so you know he's well versed in the craft. He really takes the time to explain to you what he's trying to get you to do and why, so that you understand it. It never feels like you're just practicing blindly. Since starting with him -- I've only had two lessons as of this review -- I've found that my higher notes, when I'm singing recreationally don't feel as strained they did before and singing lower notes has felt significantly easier. I'm excited to see how working with him will develop me as a vocalist. And the best part is, because he keeps his prices low, I'm never concerned that I can't afford to keep working at it.

We chose Emo to work with my 11 year old daughter via Skype for voice lessons. She was really nervous to have her very first voice lesson over Skype, and with a stranger, but Emo quickly put her at ease. He’s patient, encouraging, positive, and also really uses the 30 minutes fully. He wasn’t the cheapest vocal coach to respond to my thumbtack but he really knows what he’s doing and maximizes the 30 minute lesson. My daughter is really happy with him as her teacher and so am I!

If you're looking for someone to seriously help you expand your vocal abilities in a healthy and creative environment, look no further than Rena! She is absolutely lovely and wonderful at what she does. I began singing at a very young age so I've had my fair share of vocal coaches and I can honestly say that she is the best by far. I've not only learned more about how my voice works but I've grown in ways I never thought possible. She truly cares about her students and will never fail to help you understand all of the possibilities and improvements. She is honest and very conscious about making her lessons specific to who you are as a vocalist. Her technique is unique to each student. I highly recommend Rena if you are serious about your voice and training!

I have been taking voice lessons from Lou Savage for a few months now he is excellent. He has a great way of referencing a movie or describing a great meal or talking about how a sailboat sails on the water, and how these references can influence singing and learning how to use one's voice in performing. I have really enjoy my time with him. Thank you for everything Lou.

I am 57 years old (no Spring chicken) and came to Thomas for tenor sax lessons. My purpose is to perform and record sax solos for classic rock and blues. Thomas does a great job with understanding my goals and giving me a road map to achieve them. Very patient and intuitive.

Michael is an amazing teacher. Not only does he do a great job at explaining various techniques, but he also teaches the physicality of drumming, which has been very helpful for me. Within a few lessons I was reading music and playing actual songs. He's also really patient, and when I have a hard time grasping certain stuff he will turn it into an exercise. I've really enjoyed my time learning the drums with him!

Stefano is an amazing drum teacher. He teaches in a manner that is not threatening or condescending, but instead is uplifting and positive. He is patient, yet understands that the student wants to just hammer away and make lots of noise so he mixes the basics with permission to let loose. He is also very individualistic in his teaching, meaning he really focuses on what you are asking and where you need help. For instance, I sometimes learn best by watching, so if I ask him to show me something he readily does. Or, if I am thinking way ahead, such as how I may use a flam in a song, he doesn’t get impatient and say, “we’ll get to that,” but instead, answers the question and talks about how it will be worked into our lessons. My experiences with Stefano have been nothing short of perhaps the best music lessons I've ever had. I highly recommend Stefano to anyone who wants to learn drums the right way.

AMAZING!!!! She ROCKS!!! I have been playing and singing for about 6 years. I wanted a teacher to get my singing to the next level... And Jamie delivered! She is so much more than a Vocal/ Violin Instructor. She takes the time to make sure I understand not only the Vocal side of things but also the Theory behind it. She has taught me more about who I am as a musician and the goals I want to attain than I could have ever done by myself. I highly recommend Jamie for lessons and Musical performances. She is a fantastic person to be be around and to work with.

I have been training with Paul over piano and voice, and I have improved significantly under his training. He has a vast amount of knowledge ranging from vocal placement to incredible knowledge about music and many other career guiding influences. He is very supportive and always wants you to succeed, and will help you figure out things in a fun respectful and professional way. I have learned so much from Paul, and I appreciate his love to teach and his love of music.

Howard Richman is not a piano teacher...he is a LIFE CHANGER. I went to him to learn piano...but realized that the lessons I learned studying piano with the MASTER were not merely lessons in music....but lessons that helped me see outside the paradigm in all areas of my life. Often, as adults, we "come back" to our music...to study what we have been "wanting to get back to" for years. I learned that this is often a time of great change and evolution for us personally. Howard, being so intuitive, knows how to tune in to each individual's needs.... and empower them to EMPOWER themselves. He is a BRILLIANT pianist, composer and master teacher. I've watched him perform miracles with young children who struggled with other teachers who simply wanted to teach "by the book." Howard is always able to find your inner talent and abilities, possibly that are even unknown to you...and he can creatively, intuitively and intelligently create a course of action that will leave you amazed! That's why you are reading SO many wonderful comments here about him. If you are lucky enough to get to study with Howard, it will change your life!...and btw, I can now play a mean Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata"....Thank you for everything you taught me Howard Richman! Prior to taking drum lessons with John, I had taken about 7 long gruesome years of piano lessons. My interest in music was at an all time low and I was looking for a new experience with drums. Luckily, for me, I was able to find John James, possibly the best person for the job. Right from the start, John was a positive and patient teacher. He came into every lesson with enthusiasm and encouragement and helped me to feel comfortable. His 19+ years of experience with drums and a major in percussion assured me that he knew what he was doing. John really makes an effort to make sure that all of his students know the absolute basics of drumming such as counting, reading, and technique, which will all greatly benefit you later on. His undying patience astounds me to this day and I greatly appreciate how he never yells at his students. I often have to ask for constructive criticism because he is always so positive and encouraging. However, just because he is patient does not mean that he will slow you down. He is always aware of his student's skill level and capabilities and works to constantly challenge you to a point. As a result, the rate of progression with him is pretty high. I have been taking lessons with John for about 6 months now. Although I was bad with rhythm at first (due to the piano), he helped me to progress at a very high pace. In about a month or two, I was already practicing on the drums and reading notes at a proficient level. As a college student, I naturally do not have too much time to invest in drumming but amazingly, with John's help, I am able to consistently advance further and further every week. If I hadn't met John, I would have given up drumming by now. With every lesson, John makes me feel more and more confident that someday I will become a BEAST at the drums.

I would like to share my very strong endorsement of Bonnie Kousoulakis. As a classically-trained vocalist who has studied at both Brigham Young University and in the Oregon State University music program, I have had the opportunity to work with a number of different vocal instructors over the years. I can say without hesitation that none have helped me in to realize my potential as a classical vocalist more than Ms. Kousoulakis. Her understanding of vocal technique and ability to help her students achieve their fullest potential, especially for the male voice, is in my experience, unparalleled. Before I began studying with Ms. Kousoulakis about 15 months ago, I was merely a singer with potential, much of which had been untapped. I lacked confidence in myself and had not developed a strong understanding of exactly how to use my instrument to its fullest potential. However, with the assistance of Ms. Kousoulakis, I have been able to achieve a quality of singing and a belief in myself that has led me to give serious consideration to pursuing a full-time professional career for the first time since I left college more than a decade ago. My experiences as her student, combined with an understanding of her own education, professional background in opera and her passion for the art, give me great confidence in recommending her.

Brandon is a consummate professional in his music instruction. He teaches his students not just to play the violin, but to enjoy the violin. In just a few months my ten-year-old was reading music and playing scales. A year later, she is playing songs and will soon do her first recital. Brandon is a great music teacher. We highly recommend him.
