Allison is a great Yoga Teacher! She gives clear instructions and has a warm and inviting presence! She is great at making sure that her lessons flow smoothly and make sense for what her client wants to work on. I highly recommend her!!!
Marjorie is, hands-down, the best "teacher" I've ever had. The reality is that to call her "teacher" wouldn't be enough. I came across Marjorie six years ago, when her class was recommended to me by another instructor, and I attended her class at then-Vira Yoga in NYC. I was blown away by everything about Marjorie: her knowledge of the whole body and of practicing yoga safely is above and beyond anyone I've ever met. I am a former soccer player with a history of chronic pain, and always shied away from regular yoga. Marjorie became my weekly ritual-I begin attending her Sunday 4 PM class at World Yoga Center whenever I could, and even sometimes went during lunch to her weekday classes. The modifications that she teaches are unlike any instructor I've ever met. She gently helps you find a way to be in every pose, commands the class with great warmth while also offering to help each student and pay attention to their alignment, and is available for consultation outside of class. She also is not like some yoga teachers, who move through the poses quickly and aren't sensitive to potential injury points. Marjorie is extremely experienced and teaches with safety first. she also incorporates sage wisdom, mindfulness, and recommendations for self-care and homeopathic remedies regularly. And she's funny! Also, she's a native New Yorker, I also found her observations very pertinent and real (for example, many New Yorkers spend time at a desk sitting in a chair, and are surrounded by lots of noise and high energy levels generally - she methodically walks you through how to adjust to each of those norms). I suspect that wherever Marjorie lives and teaches, she is fully engrossed in the patterns and habits of that location. This ability of hers to be "tuned in" and genuine goes a long way in the way she teaches her class. I was delighted to also learn that Marjorie could be a confidant and crucial consult for other health problems in my life. She will always defer to doctors and experts, but Marjorie pointed me towards a rehabilitation specialist and I have been working with for two years, who has also changed my life. Not to mention that several health and mindfulness-related books on my bookshelf are there as a result of Marjorie's recommendation. And most recently, at Marjorie's urging, I completed her reset and re-new course, which helped me to reset my eating habits and tackle my inflammation, and, as she says, "live better in my body" through diet and wellness routines. I am happy to say that I have lost 20 pounds in my inflammation is greatly reduced. And, the whole time I've known her, I've known that she is always available when I may be in crisis with my health. When Marjorie left New York City, a regular of part of my routine did go away. But, Marjorie makes herself available for private sessions via Zoom, and will regularly consult over email. She is an incredible practitioner and anyone lucky enough to should reap the benefits of her wisdom. There are 1 million instructors out there, but they're truly only has one Marjorie. Plus, her dog is adorable!!!!
Matt is a wonderful yoga teacher. He is attentive to my unique needs. I learn something new every time I take a class from him. I always leave feeling good physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Meditation classes provided a renewed appreciation for the special people in my life. Forgiving others and myself. Very empowering!
Marta was amazing, and I looked forward to each of our sessions. Her manner is so calming and her insight and guidance spot on. Though I had some background in meditation, Marta's coaching helped me so much - I reached a new level of mindfulness that went far beyond the 20 minutes I tried to grab each day. Now it is a part of my whole day and how I live my life. Marta helped me learn to respond to things in my life rather than react to them in the same old ways. I am calmer, more centered and extremely grateful. Run, don't walk, to work with her if you can!!!

Marie is phenomenal and hands down one of the best yoga teachers in the area. I had a really bad back...to the point that I had to give up Golf but after a couple months of yoga sessions, I was good to go and my back pain has abated for the last 4 months. Plus i feel so much better - no medications needed!
Sophia is amazing- she is very understanding of your needs and abilities. Plus her knowledge of Yoga and the meditation aspects puts her at A+ for me. I have improved in range of motion, strength, and ability so much by attending her class. I want everyone to know that she is the genuine yogi, in ability, knowledge, and her belief.
Theresa was very insightful, caring and helpful.
Sarah was my first and best Yoga teacher! She introduced new flowing and breathing techniques in a very relaxed and judgement free atmosphere. I was nervous going in but Sarah made it a great experience!
Elisabeth has such a caring attitude toward our seniors at the retirement community where she teaches. They all love her and the way she tailors the class to their special needs, while encouraging them to do more than they think they can. The results have been amazing and no one wants to miss the class! They love the relaxation and going within time also. I have also taken personal classes with Elisabeth. She is an excellent teacher and she has helped me grow in my practice of yoga.

The goal at the Pause Button is to demystify meditation and make it accessible to everyone. It's true that meditation can help you find inner peace, creativity, inspiration, harmonious relationships, better health, and more self-awareness. Each of us has our own reason for wanting to meditate, and whether you want to create mental, physical or emotional balance, you'll find that meditation will help you. I am certified to teach the "Simple, Easy, Every Day Meditation" (SEED Meditation) created by Sarah McLean, one of the leading meditation instructors in the industry. I guide private and group meditation classes as well as teach intro to meditation and mindfulness workshops. My meditation techniques include body awareness, breath awareness, silent mantra, heart-centered breath, and self-inquiry. I also guide gratitude, loving-kindness, walking and eating meditations. I love sharing this beautiful practice and opening my heart to others.
I am a San Diego-based yoga and meditation instructor. My goal is to utilize the tools of yoga, conscious breathing and meditation to support individuals in their pursuit of health, well-being and happiness.
With respect to Meditation Instruction, my qualifications are a bit unique. I have practiced meditation for over 30 years, primarily in the Buddhist traditions. However, I can teach meditation either within or outside of a spiritual context. What tends to make a meditation teacher effective are not so much his/her words, as the experiential understanding behind those words. And what generally creates that understanding is the consistent practice of meditation itself . In other words, the mind training that meditation provides. This training of the mind and heart can happen in normal daily life , and it happens especially effectively in silent retreat. I have done countless silent retreats since 1985, and in recent years, for as long as two months at a time. I have been taught (in and out of retreat) by the most renowned Western teachers of mindfulness and Buddhist Insight Meditation, and in 2017, I was authorized to teach in the Western Tradition of Insight Meditation by these teachers.
