I started working out with OJ towards the beginning of January- I had lead a sedentary lifestyle for a long time and felt kinda lost on where to begin. So far I've lost 14lbs, feel stronger, and feel more confident and capable while working out. I feel like he is a great choice for anyone started from a place of low fitness or obesity. PROS -it's private. I always felt very self-conscious working out in the big commercial gyms with tons of people around. There have never been more than 2 other clients (of his partner) during my sessions and often there is no one else. I can focus 100% on form and effort rather than getting caught up in how ridiculous, red-faced etc I must look -attention & assistance even outside of sessions. He's always quick to reply to texts whether its scheduling, nutritional questions, or asking for a routine to do. He's also been very accommodating when I've had to cancel or reschedule. -Limits! I feel he is so good in this department. I always leave a session feeling like I've been pushed to the very edge of my limits but not past- the only 2 times I went to far was due to stuff on my end that I hadn't mentioned (sick/hadn't eaten). He doesn't let me quit when I have to pause but can keeping going overall and he'll call me on it when he knows I can push harder, go faster etc, but he'll adjust the exercise if he sees I'm truly approaching the edge of my capabilities. And he's never misjudged which is which so far. Similarly, I can't get away with slacking on form due to fatigue or inattention but I'm not pushed to have form that I'm just not capable of yet (ex. pushups) This has probably been the biggest thing that keeps me coming back-I've had trainers who wanted more than I'm physically capable of, or pushed me to the point of failure which is very discouraging. -Each session is different and varied- I don't get bored. Also if I ask for a particular exercise he's always been willing to add it to the next session which is nice. -Sincere praise. When he tells me I'm doing a good job I know I actually have! That's way more encouraging than liberal amounts of undeserved praise CONS -The only con/downside is that I was initially looking to focus on lifting- reviewing moves, making sure my form was good, and developing a routine or 2 I could use at my regular gym. But I was also only planning to do a month of training and I'm at 2.5 now, and more than fulfilling my larger goal of general weightloss/fitness! So obviously it's a very minor complaint.

Ted is extremely knowledgable about bodybuilding, the human body, and everything to do with bodybuilding competitions. I met him in the audience of a bodybuilding competition. I could tell that he really knew his stuff. He's been studying bodybuilding for 35 years now, that is rare to find in a trainer!! I could not believe how in shape and muscular he was when he told me his age. I thought to myself, "wow, he must be doing something right". He agreed to train me and I learned much more than I'd ever known about weightlifting and the workings of the muscles in the body. I will always be grateful for this knowledge, and I saw incredible results! I feel that I am stronger today than I've ever been and I owe this to Ted's guidance. His services are very reasonably priced, and he truly cares about you becoming your best self, he is also compassionate and trustworthy. He will help you grow and progress but he will not risk injury while doing it. He's very cautious and does not believe in pushing the body until it breaks, but rather, will show you the most efficient and smartest ways to reach your goals. He's a gem!

Hands down Jobi Morrison is the BEST personal trainer! I have been training with Jobi for 5 years. I'm the strongest I have ever been! My workouts are never boring. I always look forward to see how he will challenge me with cardio, strength and balance and I am never disappointed! Jobi always takes the time to listen to my questions about fitness and nutrition and always provides sound advice. I usually shy away from recommending people or businesses, but with Jobi and Fitness Comes First I say Go Now! You will NOT be disappointed!

I have trained with Paul Harvey for 5+ years. I have been working with various trainers for 15 years total, and had never found one who understood my goals and knew how to achieve them. When I started with Paul I was 178 lbs. At 6'4" tall, that was very skinny. My goal was to put on lean muscle. I've added about 30lbs of lean muscle and have a six pack. Paul advises me on how to achieve my goals both inside the gym and at home. He is a smart guy and can carry on a conversation about more than just working-out. He makes me laugh and we have lively debates about current events. Even when I take the skills I've learned from him to my own solo workouts, I still never sweat as much as I do when I work out with Paul. He is a great motivator.

I've definitely had my share of trying out different trainers/gyms/workout DVDs/group classes/boot camps, you name it and I've done it. Throw out those workout DVDs and cancel all your memberships. Trust me when I say Manuk is the one and only trainer you will need. I have been training with him for about a year now a couple times a week. Manuk really took the time on our first meeting to get to know me and my life style so he can plan a workout accordingly. He asked me my daily routine, food and drink Intake, job, what my goals were, etc.. Didn't miss a point to give me the best results. Manuk has given me results within this past year that I didn't even imagine were possible. He made sure he altered what I ate throughout the day (in a healthy and easy transition) to see quicker results. He is honest with you, well educated in the field, motivating, and his humor definitely is a huge plus!! Makes working out fun and not such a serious, in your face yelling kind of a workout.

A year after surgery, for an inguinal hernia, I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron. Recovery was horrible, along with my diet and other medical issues this made me afraid of exercising and a recurring injury. Aaron was very understanding with my concerns and emphasized the importance of building a healthy foundation to properly heal and improving long-term health. He even helped me understand my blood test, which has significantly improved since training with him close to a year now. I am healthier and feeling better than ever and truly grateful to have found someone who really has a passion for improving the lives of others. Thank you Aaron! Sandy is not your typical trainer but she’s a good one! She doesn’t yell at you and push you until you cry. Rather she counts your reps, cracks a joke, or talks to you to make the session time pass quickly. She keeps things from getting stale by never doing the exact same exercises in consecutive meetings. Sandy knows so many exercise variations that she will adapt your training if you don’t like a particular exercise or want to focus on improving one thing or another. She is also one of the few trainers that is willing to come to your house or a local park to train you. I highly recommend her. She’ll get you into better shape if you’re willing to put in the effort too.

I have been working with Lucy for about 6 weeks. I have a bad back and bad knees. Lucy will show me an exercise she wants me to do and think "that's going to hurt" and I am surprised it does not. Other times I start the exercise and even changing up the angle and it is still painful. Lucy knows when to stop and try something new just for me. She is surprised at times what I am capable of and others what I struggle to accomplish. She is learning my personal body and am grateful she is willing to take the time to listen to me and adjust my workout accordingly. I know the difference between pain and muscle soreness. After a workout I am grateful to be sore because I know that I have used muscles that have not moved or worked out in many years. I am also grateful I am not in pain, sometimes a trainer will push you so hard that they cause pain to their client, Lucy is conservative in her approach since she tends to work with an older clients. Lucy also is very good at reading people and always willing to offer a listening ear. She is like a BFF who always has something positive to say while still encouraging you to do your best. She is the perfect trainer for me!

Mario has had such a huge impact in my life not just in fitness but as a role model and as a guide to a better lifestyle. Over the past couple months I have seen an increase in my strength, endurance, fitness and happiness in general. When I hired Mario to guide me through my fitness, I knew I was signing up for a trainer, but I was and continue to be surprised to also have found a friend. He will push you to be better and congratulate you for even your smallest achievements. Marfil definitely exposed me to a whole side of the fitness world that I didn’t know exsisted and that I never believed I could be a part of and no amount of reviews or words can really express the gratitude and appreciation. If you’re looking for a trainer, Mario is the best way to go, wouldn’t trade the guidance for anything.

I started my training with Fit to You, Marcos a few months ago. I was nervous and wasn't sure what to expect since I had never "worked out" before nor had I ever stepped foot in a gym. When we first met I felt he listened to exactly what I was looking for in a trainer and what I was looking to accomplish. My experience has been nothing but positive! Marcos has worked his schedule to accommodate me and the time I am available to workout. He is always positive, uplifting, encouraging and patient. Each workout session he has pre-planned for me in what he believes I can do and what is the next step in fitness for me.
