A mom recently recommended Coastal Music Studios - she said her boys loved it. I was doubtful as to whether our shy middle school son would feel comfortable enough to learn to sing in a group (He has a history of speech delay and some difficulty with articulation). Pam, teacher/owner, noticed he was new and asked the kids to say hello. The kids were friendly, excited to sing and enthusiastic. I was completely amazed watching my son during the first choir practice. He looked confident and happy. Afterwards, our son (who has a learning disability) said it was the first time he felt like his brain knew exactly what was being asked of him, and that he had so much respect for the teacher since she was kind AND a good leader (i.e. not one negative word/threat said to a group of ~ fifty 2nd-8th graders). Needless to say, our son immediately started weekly voice/piano lessons. I notice he is more willing to do his homework, and is more excited about life/learning overall. Also, the songs that Pam chooses for the choir are very uplifting (non-religious). My husband and I are thrilled to have found this studio - I highly recommend Coastal Music Studios.
Jennifer helped our daughter find her singing voice and now she will attend college to continue her vocal education. Jennifer helped guide our child’s learning.
Amy has been teaching my daughters voice for about 2 years. She has done a great job building a relationship with each of them and building their skills. Her depth of knowledge with voice control has really benefited my daughters.
My children had music lessons with "Miss Lisa" for over ten years now, in both piano and voice. Now, she is even helping my young actress daughter with her audition monologues. She is a very gifted instructor, and is willing to step out of the box to encourage students and to develop their skills. Patient, kind, and thoughtful, she is nowhere near the "scary piano teacher" stereotype. We have followed her through several locations, and are excited for the new Encinitas Music Workshop. My daughter now has hour-long private voice lessons weekly, and still learns new things on a regular basic. At the new workshop space, there is also an opportunity for a break of pace with Guitar Hero, percussion learning, piano, and other musical pursuits.
I highly recommend US Music Lessons! My 14-year-old son has been with US Music Lessons for nearly a year as part of the Rock Band class. He is a drummer and has loved playing with other students in his band as they learn together the skills they need to be part of an actual rock band. They have played multiple times at local venues, including the Hard Rock Cafe, which has been an incredible experience for the kids. Although my son already was a drummer coming into US Music Lessons (Thanks to his grandfather), he has learned a great deal from the wonderful teachers that instruct the Rock Band. My son plays with kids every week who have been students of US Music Lessons learning various instruments, including voice lessons, and their experience has been positive. The kids coming out of US Music Lessons are all gifted and talented young musicians thanks to the wonderful teachers dedicated to their musical growth. The Rock Band class is an innovative, fun and inspiring way to teach music in that it develops a love and passion for performing and therefore a desire to improve on a daily basis. Playing with others that are like-minded and receiving the feedback in an actual performance class from the instructor has been an invaluable experience for my son.
I have been studying voice off and on with Tricia for about 15 years, and I just can’t say enough about the quality of training I have received from Tricia. When I first came to her, I was a painfully shy introvert, with extremely low self esteem. I had no self confidence in myself or my singing. I have always loved to sing, but didn’t have that “natural talent” that some people are lucky enough to have. Tricia helped me develop (and find) my voice after a few lessons, and already had me performing in a recital not long after I started lessons with her. Tricia has taught me everything from ear training, music theory, proper placement of the voice, breathing technique and turning that horrible “warble” into a natural vibrato that is really beautiful once achieved. I have studied with Tricia over the phone, the internet via skype, and in person. She hears everything with her golden ear, and she can tell how your posture is just by the sound of your voice. Tricia also has helped me during times when my vocal cords were swollen, and when I had some small thickening of the cords. With proper repair work, and better nutrition I began seeing results immediately. I have grown so much with Tricia’s help and guidance. I joined a band a few years ago, and have been invited as a guest singer with several other bands. Tricia is a superstar in her own right, and I highly recommend Tricia for anyone who is seeking a private coach.
Joe is an excellent guitar teacher and I am happy to recommend him without reservation. His instruction has been well suited to my learning pace. When I practice I am able to apply what I learn in our weekly lessons so I have a real sense of accomplishment week to week. Joe is an effective teacher and I look forward to continuing his instruction.
I highly recommend studying voice with Elizabeth Kimery! I am a professional singer and classic musical theatre performer (BA Vocal Performance); I’ve studied with some terrific teachers, but Elizabeth is who I’ve clicked with the most, and who has helped me to sing whatever style of music I've wanted/needed to, to the best of my ability. While we have worked on a lot of classical music together, she is the only teacher who has helped me develop a very healthy contemporary musical theatre/belt sound, as well as ways to switch back and forth between styles (if you’d like examples, you can check out some of my recordings here: http://www.ashleywagnerarts.com/). That has been invaluable to my work! I studied with Elizabeth while living and working in San Diego (shows with Lamb’s Players, Cygnet, etc…) and worked with her on audition prep for Disney. I was hired by Disney Cruise Line as a singer/actor (primary role, Mary Poppins), later worked professionally in Washington, DC, before recently relocating back to CA. I’m thrilled to be studying with her again! If you live in San Diego and want to study voice (including more than only classical music), you need to call her. Her rates are affordable, she is very caring, and if you give her a chance, she will help you greatly.
Theresa is fantastic, she worked with my daughter who had no prior voice training and broke down the skills in an easy way for her to understand. Her exercises were also effective in bringing out the best voice my daughter was capable of. She's relatable and easy to work with.
Raquel is very knowledgeable and gives you a lot of pride about your voice! Nothing seems out of reach; it's Just a matter of getting there. The tools she gives you to expand your vocals are amazing!

Working with Ed I have been able to learn everything from the basics to advanced tuteledge. He has helpd me find my voice and is teaching me how to master it by singing different genres to challenge my vocal range. I would recommend Ed to my friends and family.
Cindy is a really amazing voice teacher. She has a great deal of knowledge of music and singing, and, most importantly, knows how to effectively convey her knowledge to her students. I have noticed a big improvement in my voice with her guidance. She has really helped me to open up my voice, and get rid of many of my old bad vocal habits. With her lessons, I have noticed my vocal technique become more powerful. She has helped me to find a new level of freedom in my voice, and to connect emotionally with the pieces I sing. The last, but not the least, her passion for music and teaching makes learning from her a pleasure! Masha
Kind, encouraging. I worked with Liz at piano Press Studio for two years and I looked forward to each lesson as an adventure. She was very kind and encouraging and helped me to sight sing music better, which was my goal.
Hi,Thanks to responses to my email this is my phone number 8583533436
I'm a retired police officer of 17 years. I have been singing and mastering what voices can do for approximately 20 years. I use a lot of new and different techniques to open up your voice and push it beyond what you think is possible. I have performed at several venues including PETCO park. I look forward to teaching you.
I teach piano and voice. I have 18 years of experience. Learn from a professional master teacher. I accept students from all levels.
Teach to play piano solo, piano accompaniment, music theory, voice.
My work stands out because I am very flexible and intuitive in my consolations, making sure the music is just what my clients want for their ceremony. Some people hate classical music, others love it. some want only new songs, some have no idea what kind of music they would like. I can help you decide and come up with a plan. My music brings attention and honor to my clients, not to myself. I want to provide the most beautiful and wonderful music possible, making sure it honors the client and not my own interest. The fact that I have over ten years of experience providing music in the Catholic church means I am attentive to details, because thee are many parts to a catholic mass. I can do any christian wedding or non-religious wedding. I always meet with the clients, and I always call the officiant or priest to conclude the music is acceptable and the flow of the music fits. I believe it is important to be communicative. At least twice a month I will check in to say hello and say what I have scheduled as far as rehearsals and tasks I have completed. I will take care of all of the tasks for the ceremony relating to music.
My piano, guitar, voice students play and sing with confidence, feeling, and great interpretation! This is because of my methods of teaching. Every student has talent. I bring out that talent in the lessons. I request each student develop their talent a minimum of 35-minutes per day. When a student does this consistently, good things happen!
