I've worked out with trainers before, even one that I loved, and the experience with Anthony has still been on a different level entirely. For the last 5 weeks, I have had the pleasure of having Anthony as my trainer. I have found capacities in my body that I didn't know existed. Anthony is hardly summed up by a five star review. Anthony has one of the sunniest and positive personalities you'll never meet. The workouts are different every day and are fun and enjoyable and never boring. The gym environment is also great. From other trainers and other gym goers, everyone is kind, supportive, and encouraging. Expect to be greeted by everyone when you arrive. Since my first day, the atmosphere has been nothing but positive. I feel very welcomed and extremely comfortable. I've been very impressed with my experience thus far. I love the that God's cultivates a great mix of clientele. I see both men and women (regardless of age, level of fitness, or experience) working on their goals.
Beth is # 1!!! There are many reason's why so I hope you continue to read as I give you the "short" version :-P For years I worked out at the same gym. Watched it change names, class instructors & trainers. I always dipped in to see if I jived w/them, if they knew what they were talking about or if they pushed people. One day while working out on the main floor I kept hearing "Switch it up" come from the class room. People were running around, faces red, out of breath and all from this tiny cute woman. So of course after the class I ask people what that class was all about and EVERYONE had a positive statement about "The Gauntlet" - along with "You gotta try it". I got to the gym the next day to see a line of people waiting to get into her class. Needless to say, I did it. Within 1 hr I got more of a work out than I had all week. Left there feeling great, sweaty, sore, out of breath, red faced and smiling, thinking to myself - damn that was hr. Just before I walked out, Beth walked up and introduced herself and thanked me for coming to her class. I was impressed that she took note that I was new considering she had a full house. From that day forward I became addicted to the Gauntlet - or in Detroit - you became a Gauntlet junkie!! It would upset me if my work schedule changed and I couldn't make her class. Some days I would do the 5pm class and then the 6pm class. Beth PUSHES you beyond what you THINK u can't do. Gives you view about your body, how it progresses, operates and educates you during the class about functional training. One of the BEST parts of her class is that everyday is different! There is never the same workout. You use free weights, your own body weight, boxes, sledgehammers, tractor tires for flipping, reteaches you how to climb rope and SO MUCH more! We became friends instantly and joked all the time. She very personable, truly cares and will call you on your BS :-) She goes above and beyond! To most trainers you are a dollar sign but to Beth you are her client (if u get luck - her friend). She cares, wants to make sure you are happy, achieve your goals and can pay it forward. Lastly...I told Beth "I'm getting married." Like most women, we want to drop a few LBS before the big day. Beth worked me harder than ever before. She was on me about my nutrition, my work outs, stress of the big day, how resting is important and water consumption. Not only did I do her class once in the am, I was back at night for another class and worked out with her on the side. She did my weight ins, measurements and contacted at the end of some days to see how I was doing. Talked me off the ledge (so to speak) when I didn't see the LBS drop from the scale. She told me "Be happy you are losing inches! Be happy cause that was your goal - loose inches to get into your dress - don't pay attention to the scale because u are stressed." Of course I rolled my eyes and came back for more. We'll, after working out w/her for 2 months straight, a bunches of inches lost, feeling better than ever before, the scale STILL hadn't gone down - I was able to fit in a dress that I ordered 2 sizes to small. She was right! 4 days later I got married and w/in 2 days I was down 5 lbs. Laughing at myself I text Beth from Mexico to tell her she was right. You will not go wrong having Beth as your trainer, massage therapist (forgot to talk about that - but amazing!), health guru, nutritionist ,etc. She is by far the BEST. She is missed greatly in Detroit and everyone would stand in line again to walk into her class and welcome her!!
Gerard is the trainer of trainers, he has stamina, strength, and balance in training me. I am older, and I need to be watched for my strengths and weaknesses. He knows nutrition as well, and combines the training with that skill, which makes him exceptional. He's tough and clear about body building.
I have worked with John for almost a year now. Over the course of the year I’ve been more than pleased with the service, not only was the system very structured punctual and professional, but I’ve had more results than ever before. John/fast pace PT is the third personal training service I have used, after having two other personal trainers. Structured system compared to traditional personal training is much more effective and I have appreciated all of John’s, and his team is hard work . I look forward to more training and even more results to come. Eli
I booked the appointment for a family member who wound up getting a great deal of relief. After the hour massage she could raise up her arm and struggled far less getting around the house. Now just 3 days later she has improved so much so that she is getting out of bed and doing light activities which she could not do before Kathleen worked her magic.
Tony, is the reason I am looking good and feeling great. I have worked with other trainers but none took the time to understand my particular needs. He designed a program that dealt with my particular needs. In my opinion he is the best.
James has trained me and several of my teammates in wrestling and MMA. I've watched all of us make jumps in skill level in his class. James is a patient and effective teacher. He is a trainer you want if you're after detailed, personal attention. His monumental patience can be seen in his teaching me wrestling. Over a year, he brought me from a sad, landlubbering state to a less sad state where I can execute wrestling fundamentals. Improvement was incremental, and he was always encouraging and made training engaging. He is also an excellent dancer.
Patti is excellent. She cares about her clients. She knows what her exercise do. She knows the body. She tailors her workout for you and where you are at. During your workout she encourages you and yet pushes you at the same time. (She also has great stories to distract you.) I have tried a number of trainers over the years and Patti is by far the best!
Laurie has been my trainer for over ten years. Her positive attitude toward life always makes me feel good. She knows the body, and when I have had an injury, she suggests a safe way to continue exercising without causing further problems. She is a professional with years of experience as a trainer. I am 74, with good balance. I feel strong with lots of energy. Part of that is definitely having Laurie in my life.
Shakina is personable, knowledgeable, extremely flexible with when and where to workout, super friendly...and best of all, she gives me the results I want! She tailors my workout to my ability while still making it challenging. I started with her 3.5 months after I had a baby (3 days a week for 30 min sessions) I couldn't do a single push up, could barely jump rope, and lunges were a challenge. Just 2 months later I see definition both in my arms and back, my baby belly is shrinking (though this is always the last to go), my husband continuously compliments me on my tight butt, and I've progressed INCREDIBLY in my ability to complete the tasks I've mentioned above. I look forward to seeing my body continue to transform with Shakina and highly recommended her for both personal and group training!
I hired Luis in Nov 2011 to help me train for a 60 mile walk that I had coming up. One of things I was really interested in was finding someone who would train me as an individual and not limit me because of my physical appearance or gender. That is exactly what I got and I have been training with Luis ever since. Luis really understands fitness and physiology. He is always adding to his knowledge base and incorporating new strategies that he tests out on himself first. He will work with you to improve your fitness level, help you reach your goals and push you as far as you are willing to go. He will train you by powerlifting, cardio and crosstraining methods and, if you want, develop a plan for days when you are on your own. In the years I have known him, I have seen him train clients for general fitness, body building competitions, powerlifting competitions and triathlons. Thankfully Luis is not one to jump on any fad diet bandwagon, and understands that everyone has food weaknesses. He has considerable knowledge on the biochemistry of nutrition and will adapt a plan for you, revising it overtime until you find the right combination of foods (including your favorites) and calories to achieve your goals. Luis obviously enjoys training and being a personal trainer, he is positive and encouraging and someone who goes the extra mile for his clients. He is an exceptional trainer and I highly recommend him.
I've always been active and fit. I've studied martial arts for over 10 years and have trained competitively for full contact San shou kickboxing matches, judo tournaments and Kung Fu forms competitions. I'm used to sweating it out and tough coaches. After a string of injuries, work priorities and age on my bones, I was feeling demotivated, lazy and really out of shape. I decided that I needed a kick-start and a switch up to my routine so I started training with Daniel. And he is awesome. His background in kinesiology allowed me to train hard while rehabilitating a lingering hip injury. He taught me a ton in areas where I haven't had much experience but wanted to learn, like strength training with weights and isometric training. And he always kept it fresh and fun. My favorite was going out to the field and doing killer coordination drills. Daniel definitely makes you put in the work but he's friendly and motivating and we built a great relationship during our training time together. What was supposed to be a short jump start package for me turned into a long term must have element to my routine. I'm sad he moved away but his choice to continue his education in grad school is going to make him even more effective as a personal trainer. Daniel rocks!
I started training with Nate in the typical fashion – about 2 months before my wedding. I hadn’t worked with a trainer before as motivation to get to the gym has never been an issue for me. Tennis, running, spinning – lots of cardio plus a weekly tennis game was plenty to keep me feeling good mentally, able to eat & drink what I wanted, and to generally be happy with how I looked. But, as one does before their wedding – I decided to try something new. I was immediately hooked. Nate made strength training fun – it wasn’t just a run through various machines on the strength deck or run of the mill free weight exercises. He had me flipping tires, throwing down medicine balls, swinging kettle bells, pushing sleds, jumping on boxes and running stairs. Of course, when it came time to use those traditional machines or free weights, there was some sort of twist to keep it fresh. Without a doubt – my body changed – for the first time in my life, my abs had great definition and I found that I needed to log less cardio time as in truth, ti get the the psychic benefits of cardio work within a good half hour. I kept training with Nate after my wedding and through my first pregnancy. We adjusted the work outs as time went on and followed the rule of not adding anything new. I felt great throughout and was still running (or at least waddling) through my 8th month. I had a very easy time losing the pregnancy weight and I’m certain it was because I stayed fit and active through those 9 months. Though Nate left New York for sunnier pastures on the West Coast, we’ve kept in touch and I’ve been lucky enough to squeeze in workouts with him when I’ve traveled to San Francisco and LA.
I have really enjoyed training with Nick in my home. And thanks to Stella's excellent care for my children, I can concentrate on my workouts and really make each session count! Over the years I have worked with trainers at various gyms on the peninsula (Equinox, Gold's and Crunch) and I have felt most comfortable with Nick. Every session is tough but do-able because he's tailored it perfectly to my abilities. Nick's everything you need in a trainer (knowledgable, effective, firm, focused) while remaining patient and kind. His support really encouraged me during our sessions and motivated me to work hard on days that I exercised on my own. I am so pleased with my experience with Palladino Play and Train and recommend them wholeheartedly!
I met with Elyse at her gym, Perpetual Motion Performance Training, in an easily accessible and nice area of Walnut Creek. The gym itself is well equipped with ample floor space, full wall mirrors, plenty of weights, and all sorts of other fitness equipment (even a giant tire!) needed for the full-body workouts they provide in both personal training and group classes. My training experience with Elyse was excellent! Her easy-going and encouraging attitude coupled with her knowledge and experience makes for an enjoyable and effective work out. She is incredibly good with recognizing ability levels and takes care to create and adjust her instruction to ensure your body is challenged, but not damaged, during your session. I highly recommend Elyse for personal training, whether experienced in fitness, or just starting out and afraid to take the jump, she'll get you going and help you achieve your fitness goals. 2 thumbs WAY UP!
Best trainer for a bikini body! Jessi helped me get into shape last summer and so for keep my summer body! Thanks:)
Great group of people who are always looking out to help you improve your life and motivate you to burp one more time and jump just a little higher! DL
San Jose Adventure Boot Camp has something for everyone. Whether you are slow and slumpy like me or fit and fine like many of my fellow campers, you WILL get a great workout and have a good time, too! Brett is an awesome trainer. Most trainers can give you a bunch of exercises to do, but Brett manages to challenge, encourage and entertain us all at once. It's cool to be able to get your butt kicked and laugh at the same time! I was so anxiety-ridden about starting this camp, I was pushing 50, always been out of shape, and never really exercised before, but from the first day I was there I was comfortable and felt good about being there. It's been almost a year now, and I am still showing up. When are you going to sign up? .
John challenged me to work harder, encouraged me and gave me the tools to try things that I didn't think I could do (box jumps!) and helped me realize that I had the capacity to succeed...and he made my workouts fun!
I am so pleased with my experience training with Samantha. I have tried working with other personal trainers before. Not only do I see much more results in a shorter period of time with Samantha, but she keeps the workout interesting and new. She is also the sweetest and most professional trainer I have worked with. Whether you want to up your workout or are in need of some motivation, I highly recommend Samantha.
My experience training with Tony has been progressing very well within the past month, his strength when it comes to being my personal trainer is really understanding anatomy and where you need most improvement on as an individual. He watches you very closely and ensures you get the most out of every workout by adding on high-intensity training and bringing new equipment every week. Boxing, climbing stairs, running outside at the park when the weather is nice, and jumping rope were some of the highlights for me. Highly recommend, and I hope if you're in the Bay Area you will get a chance to workout with him too!!
I have been training at Pellarin Performance twice a week for a few months, and I couldn't recommend it more. I already see the results, I got back in the shape I once had before starting an office job. At Pellarin Performance, John will listen to your personal objectives and design a training program tailored to your physical goals. There are plenty of interesting workout equipment (kettlebells, ropes, jumping boxes, power sled, and even big truck tires) which are integrated into every workout session to make it unique and so much more efficient than at a basic gym. The workout area as well as the bathroom and shower are very clean, and the gym is well located in Redwood City and easily reachable.
I trained with Nate for about a year and the results I saw I never knew were possible. He put an incredible amount of thought into every session to ensure each workout was different, challenging yet doable and most importantly, fun (at least as fun as working out can be). Nate always held me accountable to ensure I met and exceeded my goals. One of things that makes him stand out among other trainers is his keen knowledge and understanding of kinesiology. He's able to develop customized fitness plans for every individual client no matter their goals, age or experience. Nate is an incredible trainer, one of the best, and I would highly recommend him to anyone.
