"Mr. Lamb is great teacher. He is currently teaching my child and my child is picking up piano fingering and technique fast. I think Mr. Lamb is very talented and knows how to instruct in music theory and piano technique. He is very friendly and easy person to talk to, flexible and understanding of the needs of my child, and accommodates us most graciously when we have to reschedule. I highly recommend Mr. Lamb for Piano lessons."

"I recently hired Toby for lessons in composition and to help me gain more agility and greater finger dexterity. I played piano for 5 years as a child, but stopped in high school because I became too busy. I also wanted to start writing my own music. I have lyrics, but I don't know how to put them to music. Toby has been working with my daughter who started piano lessons 3 years ago. My daughter had some interest in playing, but had a hard time getting motivated to practice. Toby got her back on track and excited about practicing. She is unique in allowing her intermediate students to play with her band which plays originals, including her own which are a mix of classical and rock. Toby has had an amazing influence on my daughter who went from not knowing how to play to playing intermediate pieces with a wonderful tone, dynamics, and dexterity. She is currently working on a some Chopin (Toby is most skilled in the Romantic era pieces such as Chopin and Rachmaninoff) and the Mozart Turkish March sonata. My daughter has also learned how to write songs and compose music to match them. Toby studied at Berklee which is well-known as the premier school for songwriting and composition, and it shows in her teaching. I am so excited to have an opportunity to work with her. She is a fantastic teacher and her original music is gorgeous and inspirational."

"I had studied piano as a child, and I began to play again after I retired. When I moved to Walnut Creek I transferred my piano lessons to Martin. I found that his lessons were much more comprehensive than my previous teacher's. In addition to helping with the basics, he teaches more subtle aspects of interpreting each piece that results in greater musicality than I had achieved before. Although this is more demanding, he is very supportive and encouraging, and I look forward to each lesson."

"I absolutely LOVE working with Michael and learning guitar from him. I've tried many times to learn before, and it's never quite stuck. Michael has a way of making difficult concepts seem easy and I'm finally able to grasp music theory. It's always challenging learning something new because I (as I'm sure a lot of people do) feel silly when I mess up or a little dumb if I don't do something right, and Michael makes me feel comfortable and able to make mistakes and try new chords or scales, or whatever it may be. I HIGHLY recommend hiring Michael if you want to learn guitar or just improve your skills!"

"I began receiving lessons from Miss Kathleen when I was in the 4th grade. She has been my private tutor for the past 8 years, and we only recently stopped having lessons due to her move. She has played a very big role in becoming the musician I am today. With her help and instruction, I participate in my school's highest orchestra, in the Capitol Symphonic Youth Orchestra, and in events such as District Orchestra. She has always inspired and encouraged me to pursue my music related aspirations and, because of that, I plan on studying music in college and pursue it as a career. I can't imagine what I would have done with out her. Over the years of lessons, she has become more than just a teacher. She is my close friend who I continue to go to for advice."

"My 11 year-old and 8 year-old girls are getting much improving and confidence playing piano and violin since having Helena from Harmony Music Studio as their teacher. My girls started learning piano and violin from couple different teachers before and it didn't work so well for them in term of techniques and profession. I'm happy to find Helena as teacher for my girls."

"Over the years I have received instruction from Donna through piano lessons and participation in various choirs she has conducted. I am impressed with her knowledge, expertise, kindness, and patience. I am especially thankful for the way I have been instructed to sing so that I do not harm my voice....and in the piano instruction that includes education in the instrument - its history and how it works - and arm and hand technique when playing."
