Stephen incredibly knowledgeable and has a wonderful personality, and will push you beyond your mental (which I need most) and physical limits to get most out of the training without screaming at me. He is fully focussed on you while training and whenevwer time permits he quickly jots down my progress and motivates me with all the Instagram recordings :) he is either working out with me to demonstrate or couting my reps or recording the video for my reference. there is decent progress within a month and i am hopeful that I will achieve my target soon with help and motivation from him. I strongly recommend him to anyone for best body and mind :)
Corey is an awesome trainer. First off he asked me what my goals were and when I wanted to reach them. At first I just wanted to drop a few pounds, but then I had to change that to prep for a physical exam for a couple different police departments I was applying for. Corey didn't miss a beat and engineered a plan that not only helped me accomplish my original goal, but got me ready for my employment placement tests. Another great thing about Corey is that he gets to know your personality. I am a bit of a tomboy and really like the outdoors-I hate treadmills or any machinery that doesn't let me move out. Corey encouraged my love of hiking and incorporated that into our workout plan and after a few weeks of circuit training, he introduced me to boxing (which I have come to LOVE). His process works! All the exercises we did during circuit training came together in the boxing lessons and I was thrilled! Corey listens to his clients, gets to know them and works with them towards their goals in a way that is both fun and effective! I don't hate exercising anymore! Thanks Corey!
I first started working with Evan about 3 years ago and have benefitted tremendously from HIS hard work. He is constantly expanding his knowledge base, testing the latest nutrition and training fads, measuring them against the tried and true and satisfying himself that clients will benefit before unleashing them on us. And when he does unleash his learnings - watch out! The workouts are tough and engaging and if YOU do it right you will leave exhausted, but feeling great, and aching to come back and do it again. And again. Without the personal fortitude to get to the gym without an appointment, I find Evan's routines - and the results - the perfect motivation. I have been an extremely happy, regular client for all 3 of the years I've been training with Evan. I travel frequently for work, so Evan has helped with routines and exercises that can be done in my hotel room. He is also capable of accommodating that travel schedule and training me on a somewhat random, somewhat regular basis, but always picking up where we left off and pushing me/encouraging me to the next level of fitness and awareness. His considerable skills and conscientiousness aside, Evan is funny and interesting, so the sessions are not JUST about training and nutrition. He's worldly and has lots of worthwhile news, stories and information to share. I highly recommend him!
I have had a wonderful experience training with Anthony at God's Gym! He tailors each work out to my abilities, challenges me to incrementally work harder to build strength, but does not push me beyond my abilities or risk injury. Work outs are challenging, get my heart pumping and leave me with the "good" muscle soreness for a few days. There is minimal downtime in the 30 minute sessions, thus there is no wasted time. This contrasts to my experience during training sessions at other gyms. I feel that these sessions are consistently higher yield compared to my other gym experiences. Anthony, himself, is awesome. He is kind, patient, has a great sense of humor. He is VERY encouraging. He provides nutritional guidance specific for your goals. My schedule can be quite variable, and he has consistently accommodated this so that I could make as many training sessions as possible. The entire team at God's gym is very welcoming and supportive. A great environment, and an amazing community that I am now happy to participate in! Also, I would recommend that those considering this gym should not be "turned off" by the name if they are not religious, people of faith, Christian, etc. This is a comfortable and welcoming place for ALL people to train. :)
I first started my fitness journey after learning my body fat percentage had hit a personal high of 27%. It was then I decided to make health a priority in my life and start taking exercise and nutrition seriously. I signed up for Thumbtack and put out a request for a trainer near my home. John was one of the first to respond. We spoke on the phone about my goals and then scheduled a free consultation where we practiced a few basic movements and took my measurements. After our consultation, I committed to 20 personal training sessions. In each session, John tailors exercises with my goals in mind, and pushes me beyond what I think I'm capable of. He is always mixing up exercises to keep things interesting and my body guessing. John has me training with everything from kettle bells and cables, to rowing machines and TRX. In addition to the challenging workouts, John is consistent and reliable. He sends calendar invites for our scheduled training sessions and lets me know in advance if he needs to reschedule. It's now been nearly 18 months since we first started training. I've lost inches of body fat and gained confidence and energy. I look forward to our training sessions and even have my boyfriend hooked on couple workouts with John. :) I cannot recommend him enough for those ready to commit to a healthy lifestyle.
John is doing a great job training my 12 year old son who competes in travel baseball. My son really enjoys his sessions and his fitness is improving everyday.
I recently moved to San Mateo. I was looking for an experienced personal trainer with a private gym and Kip was the guy. After I posted the search on Thumbtack, Kip quickly responded back with an offer and set up an trial training session with me. The trial went great, he pushed hard but was checking up on me from time to time to see if I needed a break or drink of water. I recommend anyone to sign up with him and try it out for themselves. Another thing I like about Kip is that he checks-up with you after the training to see how you feel and adjust the next session based on your response.
At age 53, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer and osteoporosis of the spine and hips. Following a successful surgery to remove my thyroid, my endocrinologist recommended that I pursue weight and resistance training in conjunction with a year-long course of daily injections to treat my osteoporosis. Since that time, I have felt so incredibly fortunate to have met Jackie Sizemore. James is a perfect mix of tough and encouraging, and can help anyone of all fitness levels. He can adjust to the kind of fitness or circuit training you want. He may push you hard at times but he’s fun, flexible and respectful. All he wants is for you to reach the fitness goal each client desires. James combines the best nutrition and circuit training that's best for you to achieve the best results. He is one of the greatest personal trainers I've ever encountered. He’s funny, warm, approachable, demanding, rigorous and really knows his stuff. You just cannot do any better. I highly recommend him as a personal trainer.
I would hands down recommend Dima Rumanov to anyone who is looking for the ultimate body and mind transformation. He is patient, dedicated, hardworking, always so positive and understands that the struggle is real. I first went to Dima to get a "lean toned body." He helped me set up a fitness schedule, homework, and a meal plan to help me reach my desired goal. Over the course of a year, training with Dima 2x a week, my goals changed and Dima was always accommodating and altered my program based on my goals I was trying to achieve. I lost a total of 15lbs and then decided I wanted to get stronger and he changed my program changed again to include more weights. Initially I was hesitant to start heavy weights in fear of getting "bulky" or "beefy." Dima is an expert trainer and now I am stronger and leaner than I have ever been and you can see the results of my transformation in the image below. I am thrilled with both my physical and mental transformation and if you follow Dima's program (which includes a mostly health diet with cheat days) you will get the results you desire. He is A+!

Training with Scott is a life changing experience. He is absolutely the best personal trainer I ever have. He is knowledgeable and responsible. I feel like I'm in good hands right after first session with him. I can be so focused on training cuz he has the processed planned for me. And when I have any question, I just text him, and he is soooo nice that he answer each one of them. I've been training with him for 3 weeks so far, I can feel my muscle growing and my body having more energy. I'm sure as long as I don't move too far, I'll keep training with him. I highly recommend him to anyone that want to switch to a more healthy life style and thinking of hiring a personal trainer to help achieve any fitness goal. I don't know about other trainers, but I do know this one is GREAT :).
It was great fun training with Jared. My goal was to lose weight and be able to independently workout after training with him. In just 10 workout sessions with Jared I lost over 10lbs, started to look better in shape, can fit into my clothes that I haven’t able to for a while. Since he noted down everything for me, I can certainly workout independently now. It was his motivation and encouragement that has helped me get fitter, stronger, healthier. I would definitely recommend training with him.
Jay is simply amazing! He evaluates your fitness level, and then drafts an actionable plan to help you achieve your goals. Best part is, he's in tune with your abilities, and isn't afraid to shake up the plan to accommodate your capabilities! I used Christina for weekly personal training for about a year. Christina was able to craft a unique training regimen for me based on my specific goals. I learned a lot of new techniques from her that I still am able to use on my own today. Christina's sessions were intense and definitely felt like I got stronger and more fit as a result of working with her. Christina also has a great engaging personality and that made our sessions enjoyable even with the intensity of the workout.
I have worked with a lot of trainers before and I wholeheartedly recommend working with Herman, who is hands down the best trainer I've worked with. He is relentlessly positive, always encouraging and helped me reach a lot of strength goals. I really appreciated that he was focused on form and alignment, not about the numbers. His approach helped me have an overall more positive view of my success and improvement. After working with him for six months, I was the strongest I've ever been. He's incredibly responsive in scheduling and was never annoyed when I had to reschedule due to my job that doesn't provide me with a lot of flexibility. Training with Dante has been amazing. Not only does he assist with our fitness goals, he also ensures that we eat the right food by providing us custom nutritional plans. He is knowledgeable, motivating, funny, and most importantly, he makes working out enjoyable. We always have a good time there. My trainer gave me the best possible experience personal training could ever offer . Time after time he continued to impress me with his exercises that he helped walk me through. i value the extra time and effort he put into focusing my workouts and helping me as I asked questions and helped me get it right . His personality and inspiring attitude is what something I will never forget . Finally, I loved how he listened to me as I explained what was in my mind , from worries and doubts to questions , and he always took the time to answer them to help me get better.
