He was on time. Professional and did not over charge. His Waite was excellent and he cleaned up after himself. I have I'm on speed dial. He hung several drapery rods, balanced the washer, hung a TV and over size painting.

Juan Moreno was AWESOME! He was knowledgeable, quick, honest, and helpful. He even went out of his way to fix a fence issue I had without me even asking. He created a plumbing line to a closet in my home, now I have an in house washer and dryer and I couldn't be happier. I look forward to working with him in the future on another project. Thanks Juan!!

Mel has shown his professionalism! He comes on time, tries his hardest to identify the problem. He is very honest to say we should buy a new washer instead of wasting money to fix it. I certainly recommend Mel !!!

Nick found the problem with our 20-year-old Maytag washer quickly. The cost of the part needed for repair was too much to spend on a washer of this age so we decided to buy a new one instead of repairing it. But we were impressed with Nick and will call him for future repairs of our appliances.

My washing machine sprung a leak in the connector hose and water was all over the garage. I turned off the water and then cleaned out the garage. Thought it was simple enough to fix, but I couldn't even get the hose off! I found this site and then I found Everett. Posted my job on one day, he was there the next day and fixed my hose issue in about 20 minutes. His quote was all he was expecting and he was professional and courteous. He explained to me what was wrong and showed me the hose with the damaged washer inside. I am very impressed with Everett. Not having a washing machine for even a couple of days with a large family is a no no!

Hector was a pleasure to deal with. I needed some help fixing my washer ASAP and I put a post on thumbtack in the evening. Hector quickly scheduled me in for the next day. He came on time, was very professional, knowledgable, and reasonably priced. I've been using the washer for a month now and everything is working great. I would recommend Hector in a second. Thanks for your help!

I hired Mark to clean my garage door and my driveway and the side of my fence with a pressure washer machine. Driveway had some paint and fluid from the truck and garage door and fence had bird crap and random marks. He got everything off and it looks good as new.

Rigo was amazing, I had the daunting task of assembling and putting a stackable washer/dryer and hooking everything up in a closet in my new home. He was super patient and knowledgeable and even went the extra mile and help me buy the additional parts needed to get the job done. Awesome guy! Would highly recommend and will be using him in the future for any plumbing needs! :)

Hayk responded very quickly to my request for service and came the same day (after hours!). He immediately diagnosed the problem with both my washer as well as my trash compactor (no repairman has been able to figure out what was wrong with the compactor for over a year!). Fixed everything very efficiently, was very reasonable; professional but also very friendly! I will hire this company for all my appliance repair needs and have already referred him to my friends! Thank you Hayk!

This review is based on a phone call I had with Eric . I already knew that the drum in my front loading washer was loose based on my research. I asked Eric if it was worth it to have him come out and fix the drum. He quickly responded that the drum was a costly fix that did not come with a factory warranty. He added that it made more sense to buy a new washer altogether so that it would come with a store warranty. I was amazed that he was so honest, advising me against a costly repair that he could definitely end up profiting from. My washer/dryer was stacked so I asked him if I had to replace it with the same brand name washer. He advised me that I could buy a different brand washer that was the same width length as my current Samsung washer to stack. It was awesome that there are still some honest people out there willing to help another person. I was just so used to dealing with sneaky repair personnel in the past making it a point to come out and take my money for a quick buck. Talking to a truly honest man like Eric was very refreshing. I would not hesitate to call OC Appliance Masters for any of my future repair needs.

Centrepoint is about team work to get the job done and done with high quality. I helped hired them for my daughter’s garage conversion into an accessory dwelling unit which we saw as a great investment for extra income. We gutted the garage, prepared architectural plans, got it approved and started the project. The team at centrepoint was diligent and could not have been easier to work with. The ADU has all the amenities small kitchen, walk-in shower, bedroom, living room and washer/dryer unit. Centrepoint GC Alon recommend what should be added to the ADU to get the most for our buck when renting it out. I couldn't recommend them enough. They did such an amazing job I want to live there :) here is few picture of the finish ADU

We just purchased a condo and needed it remodeled. The quotation process was very simple and everything agreed upon in advance. We quoted 2 other contractors and Alan was the most competitive. Alan installed wood floors upstairs and down; painted the entire condo; added cabinets for a washer and dryer and storage on the patio. The workers were very professional and kept the working area neat and tidy (our neighbors even commented on this)..We asked Alan to add additional work and he was able to accommodate in a timely manner and at a reasonable cost. We would highly recommend him.

Mr. Derks put in a water line for my refrigerator to make ice cubes and to serve cold water. He had to basically crawl under the house to connect to the water lines. He also added a lint trap to my washer unit for free. The job was left nice and clean and was affordable. I definitely would recommend his services.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

  • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
  • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
  • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.
