Chef Mike catered our Toastmasters Club's 25th Anniversary Gala. We had 80 guest. Chef Mike was the first caterer to respond to my request for a quote and he continued to be quick to respond throughout the entire process. Chef Mike provided us with a tasting prior to the event and we were sold from the first bite. He and his crew were flexible, professional, kind and efficient. The food was marvelous. We had Tri-tip, Salmon and Chicken for our entrees. All three were superb. So were the side dishes. Chef Mike altered his ingredients to accommodate our gluten free attendees and added special entrees for our vegan enthusiasts. No matter the request, the answer was always "Yes". Chef Mike and his team were a big part of the successful outcome of our event. I highly recommend Gourmet Your Way Catering for any event, large or small! You're going to love your experience with GYWC!
We hosted an event for 150 people and Chef Boris and Carolina were wonderful with catering our event. Communication was great and our guests loved the food!
Jose is a phenomenal chef and caterer. He's the first person I got to for any of my event needs. He catered my birthday surprise party and my wife's birthday party. Jose is incredibly resourceful, full of ideas and always finds a way to go above and beyond. Food is always great, very competitive on pricing and always very flexible and service oriented for your needs. He's definitely my go to guy for any culinary needs I have.
The catering staff was amazing and polite. We got one chef, one assistant, one server and one DJ. They arrived on time. Server helped us set up and clean up everything. DJ was great! They did a wonderful job! Price is very reasonable and acceptable. Paid them with extra tips when service is finished. Love the team! Recommend for any events!
I hired these guys about a year ago for a small dinner party, about 5 of us. It was such a great experience! It was a while ago so I can't remember the chef's name, I think it was David, he was on time, professional, super friendly, did a great job working with my tiny apartment kitchen and crappy old stove. The food was impeccable! No joke BEST crab cakes I've ever had in my life! We all had a great time and my friends were also so impressed with the food. They still talk about the dinner. I'm not a fancy person who hires private chefs all the time, it was my first, but it was such a great experience I would do it again if a special occasion came up and would absolutely hire him again! Highly recommend! It took so long to leave this review because I forgot to do it last year and I'm an outta sight outta mind person, unfortunately, but I just got on here to look for another service and saw them on my list and had to leave this review. Won't disappoint!
Had a great experience with Executive Chef Mark Kearney and Team. To set expectations before the review, I like to consider myself a food lover...not a critic, just a food lover. I love great dining experiences and am equally critical or disappointed when they fall short. My family and I were hosting Christmas Dinner for a total of 10 family members. I found Chef Mark on Thumbtack based on his previous reviews. Roy (part of Mark's team) promptly reached out with thought-starters for the meal and breakout of pricing. Over the next few weeks Roy, Mark and I worked closely crafting the perfect menu for my traditional Christmas dinner, while staying within my budget parameters. To note, Chef Mark is priced higher than some of the other chefs I was in contact with, but I'm glad we went with Mark based on the outcome. The menu consisted of 4 gourmet hors d oeuvres passed around while we opened presents. A fan favorite was the roasted fig with gorgonzola and prosciutto. Then time for dinner. We sat at the dining table and were served Butternut Ravioli as an appetizer, Lobster Bisque soup (a bit on the spicy side - only critique I have with the food all night) and an organic baby butterleaf salad with incredible apricot balsamic vinaigrette. The main course was both a grilled beef tenderloin (prepared to your liking) and pan roasted turkey breast. Sides that accompanied the main course were brocollini, green beans and bacon/garlic mashed potatoes. Everything (except the soup) was beyond 5 stars in terms of presentation, taste and expectations. Lastly we were served two very decadent and delicious deserts - a molten lava cake and traditional bread pudding. Two things to mention. My wife was forced (by her OBGYN) into a new diet two days prior to the Christmas dinner consisting of no dairy and no soy. When Chef Mark arrived we asked him what had dairy and soy ingredients and he quickly and thoughtfully mentioned that he could make my wife's servings without either dairy or soy. Talk about going above and beyond. This was much appreciated and set the tone for the entire dinner! I would potentially ask for two servers for the evening on future events. One to solely serve as sous chef, helping Mark prepare the food in the kitchen and the other server to help set the table, serve food, wine, etc.. throughout the evening. The 5 hours that Mark and Team allocate for the evening can go quickly. This might alleviate that. Either way, a great experience and thank you Mark and Team!
I called Chef Mumsie 3 days before a party at which I was expecting 60 guests. She and her staff were able to put together a fantastic menu at a reasonable price. Chef M advised me on what I would need since I was getting some of the party items myself. She and her staff arrived promptly and set up the buffet seemlessly. The only problem we experienced was that the food she made was simply too delicious!!! We actually ran out of food. BTW the party was at our home and Chef M and her staff left the house impeccably clean. Just make sure you order extra food ....it is so delicious....you may run out. . .
I hired Sierra Madre Catering for my husband's 40th birthday party held at my home. The set up process was so easy, they were so accommodating with the menu I wanted (even though it included fried foods and philly cheese steak sandwiches which are hard to make on-site). The moment they got to my house, Tonya and her chefs were so professional, speedy, on top of it all! They made my night so much easier and fun and I finally got to enjoy my own party for once! They left my house very neat like my kitchen was never used! They picked up after my guests throughout the night. My favorites were inside-out Philly cheese steak, pulled pork sliders, mac & cheese, potstickers and garlic fries. Thank you and looking forward to seeing you again!
Chef Pena is Truly Amazing! Our first experience it was for my Best Friends Birthday Brunch he made her favorite Lasagna and it was So GoooooD!... The next week he came and did a full meal plan/prep for my family for 7days and was Heaven sent and much needed I've learned a lot about my kitchen just by him being apart of it :) he has taken some childhood fears of foods I've told myself I'd NEVER eat and now I'm eating them and loving it each job has been at my home. He's been there on an average time of 3-5 hours depending on the services I've needed at the time, Chef Pena is always on time and prepared for the job he comes with his favorite Pan and Knives to make sure your getting the best Traveling Chef Experience ever.
Jordan is an excellent chef and caterer. He produces food that is way beyond the standard catering services. If you want cookie cutter catering go with someone else. If you want really great food at a great price stop on by or use his catering.
I am beyond grateful to Thumbtack for connecting me to Chef Keith Prante and his team at Hautè Productions Events and Catering to cater my mom's 80th birthday celebration. They are absolutely A-MAZING! Chef Prante was one of two chefs who responded to my request via Thumbtack, and I also received a personal referral. Neither of the other caterers offered ANYWHERE NEAR the quality, selections, variety and value that Hautè offered at my price point. We had our tasting today, and it absolutely sealed the deal! Everything was delicious and the presentation was outstanding. I highly recommend Hautè Productions to any potential customer who appreciates excellence, accommodation and genuine customer service.
Chef Steven and his team made us a fantastic meal, got the oohs and aahs from my parents (it was a 45th anniversary dinner for them) as well as younger crowd at the meal. In fact, we're still talking about the tomato tartare dish he came up with. The chef and his team handled passed appetizers, absolutely inventive and delicious cocktails, setup and cleanup all for a completely reasonable fee per person. They used our dishes/silverware/glassware but cleaned everything up and left the kitchen spotless. Multiple people from the dinner have asked for their contact info so they can book Chef Steven in the future. We wouldn't hesitate to book them for our next party.

Chad was very pleasant from the start. His home was very inviting, clean, and safe. He gave me a debrief on his experiences and specialties. His background in Kinesiology works in his favor, he is very aware of the anatomy, and knows exactly how to target the pressure points, properly. The mood was set, and he use an adequate amount of oil (I dislike for a masseur to use too much), and he was conversational and kind the entire time. Additionally, his height worked in his favor, as well, because he is able to move fluidly and adequately apply his body weight to maximize the massage experience. I left feeling light, loose, and less stress. Lastly, Chad also took the time to educate me on the muscles groups and small parts of the body/muscles that I was not aware of. Overall, great experience and I will return for another great session.
We loved the level of service and the food was amazing! Our guests loved every course. The chef used fresh ingredients and each dish was deliciously prepared and well presented. The entire staff created a wonderful experience for us and our guests. They were professional, courteous, friendly, very accommodating, and completely self-sufficient. We didn't have to lift a finger. Even the planning stage was made easy. Bill was extremely responsive, very professional, and reliable. They were reasonabley priced, as well. I would highly recommend them.
Just want to tell everybody what a fabulous chef Diane is ! I like to eat on the healthier side so she Incorporated healthier ingredients in some of my favorite recipes which I have shared below. Give her a try and you won't be disappointed.
Greg was the perfect chef for my dinner party! He's enthusiastic about what he does and excellent at creating a menu that is delicious and every bit as good (or better) than dining at a 5-star restaurant while being in your own home! My guests loved the experience with Greg. Everyone who came to the party wanted to hire him for their next event! I would definitely hire him again in the future.
Jeanne is an excellent chef and really listens to her clients. She is punctual, thorough, and her food is amazing. Whether she is cooking for a family or an event everything is fabulous. Her presentation is artistic and spot on. I highly recommend Jeanne. You will not be disappointed. She is exceptional!!!
Chef Carolyn Devine did and DIVINE job with her execution for my parents. I asked her to deliver something special for their birthdays + anniversary and special she did deliver! She went above and beyond with champagne, fruit and cheese platter, amazing spread, and dessert. And she stayed and visited with them and made them feel so special. Thank you to the moon and back Chef Devine. This is the first but not last time we'll be working with you!
Chef Elaine made my experience go very smoothly and quite wonderful. The session was more than I expected as she is very knowledgeable and experienced with foods of all flavors and is very professional and patient. If you are looking for a cooking instructor yourself look no further as Chef Elaine is the best!
Meraki is a Greek word used to describe putting a lot of love, creativity and soul into something which is why Jory Pomeranz chose the name. It is easy to smell, taste and see that a lot of love goes into each Meraki Meal. Jory has a natural ability to combine flavors. He can time every course so they are not only cooked at the perfect temperature, but served at the correct temperature and add flare to something basic like a chicken thigh. Even the grill marks on a piece of chicken are perfectly spread out and just enough to give the chicken a grill flavor without ruining the juicy tenderness we all strive for when making chicken. Jory can make things that you hated as a kid taste delectable. Jory adds spices and sauces up until the minute prior to serving to make sure each plate is perfect. I once saw Jory save what was about to be terrible chicken tacos by creating a homemade taco sauce from a nearly empty refrigerator. With Meraki Meals the food suits the season. Who wants to eat watermelon in October when pomegranate and apples are so delicious. Every Meraki Meal tastes like the season and uses fresh fruits and vegetables. Meraki Meals put a healthy spin on what looks and tastes like a calorie nightmare, but each meal is filled with proteins and vitamins. Not only is the flavor impeccable, the presentation is a work of art. Even when catering for 35-40 people, Meraki Meals are served in beautiful silver dishes. Meraki Meals are great for crowds of any size. I have to make a conscious effort not to scrape my plate clean every time I have had Meraki Meals. I highly recommend Meraki Meals for a party of any size, but especially 8-12 people because this might give the chef a chance to sit and talk with you which is a treat of its own!
