This review does not fully compare to the actual experience of having Mimi as our wedding planner. My husband and I fell in love with her! I was referred to her by a friend a month or so before my wedding. You can imagine the details that needed to be done before that time frame. Not only did she take on the challenge of helping us, but went out of her way so our day was perfect. I live in concord, and she drove out 1 1/2 away to come meet with us several times. She kept good track of the things that still needed to be done. Her organization was phenomenal! Constant communication and support were there more than 100% (even for my emotional days) Besides the planning, she took care of the table centerpieces herself! Which were beautifully made with natural flowers on all 15-18 tables including our head table. Our guests, including vendors we hired were so impressed with her work, and most importantly by my husband and I. She found the best deals possible and made everything perfect yet affordable for us. Not only would we consider going through her all over again, but know we will continue to use her for future events and highly recommend her. We know that we didn't just find a good event/wedding planner, but a great friend that we will keep in touch with. Thank you again Mimi for helping us with our unforgettable perfect day!
Extremely helpful in planning a reception for family & friends after my Father's funeral. All coordinated online, menu developed and pricing more than acceptable. Laurel was responsive, attentive & flexible attending to my changing requests. The Service was yesterday & the food was exceptional. The staff could not have been nicer or more considerate. We hired Pam and Events, Etcetera to do day-of coordination for our wedding reception. From the start, Pam was professional, easy to get a hold of, and went above and beyond what we expected. We had Danielle do day-of coordination for our wedding this past weekend and it was a huge success! We had debated for a long time about whether we needed a day-of coordinator as we had already done most of the planning ourselves and most coordinators seemed really expensive for what we needed. Hiring Danielle was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She was always around keeping an eye on things and making sure everything ran smoothly. She checked in without being intrusive. She stuck around till the end of the night and made sure clean-up went well. She was professional, responsive and put us at ease so we could truly enjoy our day. We would definitely recommend her!
I initially hired NK from Paradise Parkway just for Day of Event Coordination services but when my venue cancelled on me exactly 45 days before my wedding day, she rose to the occasion and became the partial event planner and essentially my savior for my last minute wedding crisis! NK was creative, thorough, supportive, had my vision and best interest in mind throughout the entire planning process. There was one meeting when NK, the DJ/Lighting staff and venue manager were excitedly throwing out ideas about the space design and NK observed how quiet I was, she made sure to stop the chatter and check in with me to see if what was being discussed was matching to my vision. I truly appreciated this act as I tend to be quiet and pensive when a lot of things are going on. It was great I had an advocate for me! NK was also instrumental with making my venue space elegant and beautiful! When my first reaction to the venue cancellation was to find just a random hall to hold my event, NK highly encouraged me to look at the Sacramento Convention Center meeting room space, noting it had great potential. Im so glad that I did! With her creative eye and floral design background she helped turn the boring meeting rooms into and elegant and beautiful event space! She helped get a champagne colored draping where my fiancé and Is initial monogram was lit, she created a combination of centerpieces that included manzanita branches with crystals, fresh floral arrangements and medium/tall candles that made my guests tables look amazing! She also arranged floating candle vases and incorporated some of my nick-knacks and engagement photos for the Welcome and name card tables. She also went above and beyond when created leftover flowers into beautiful flower arrangements for my sweetheart table when she noticed it was looking bare, also added fresh flowers to my wedding cake! During the event, NK checked in with me and my bridal party often, ensuring we were on time and that little things were taken care of (i.e. informing me what catering staff were saying about drinks supplies, my 2 yr old nephew also poked my wedding cake so she turned it around so other guests dont see, haha!) My wedding reception turned out more beautiful and lavish than my first venue space! I had so many compliments from guests about the décor! NK is professional, competent, creative, detail-oriented, warm, kind and supportive! Not to mention, her services are so affordable compared to other event planning and design business! NK was a God send! She helped create my event timeline, facilitated communication among my vendors and checked in with me often during the weeks/days leading up to the wedding. What would have been a wedding reception disaster, turned into an amazing beautiful event thanks to NK! I highly recommend her for your event coordination/planning and design services!

OH MY GOSH I CANT GIVE SAMANTHA ANYTHING BUT LOVE! She was so amazing during my wedding process! Anything I needed help with she was there. She even put all the flowers in my arch for me and it turned out fantastic! She was super reasonably priced and I honestly can say she made my wedding day such a breeze. Alina coordinated my destination wedding in Eastern Europe, Ukraine! Throughout the planning process she was attentive, organized and resourceful. Planning a wedding in a small town is not as easy like it is here in the states. There are no rental companies, no real florists or designers, and I won't even mention the caterers. Through numerous meetings and coffee dates we were able to nail down all the logistics! All I can say is that my wedding day was perfect! I later did find out that the caterer I hired was completely running behind and Alina stepped in and helped them in the kitchen to get all the food out on time. I didn't even know that happened until later after the wedding! I loved working with Alina and had her coordinate my 2nd (for those that couldn't make it to Ukraine) wedding here in CA. I would recommend Alina to everyone!
Brie was amazing! We provided a strict timeline and Brie followed it without making our guests feel like they were being told what to do. She was warm and genuine with complete strangers. She checked in with us (the grooms) to make sure we were taken care of. The set up of our venue was flawless. A couple of issues arose and we never would have known because Brie had a solution. Do yourself a favor and hire Brie.
Having Natasha do my nieces bridal shower event that took place in March, 2014, was quite an experience her ideas and the whole event planning was beautiful. From the center pieces to the decorating, cake, games, and her personality is just wonderful. I would hire her again! Thanks again for the beautiful event!

I had a surprise birthday party that my girlfriend used Meilleur Ami to help plan. I was so surprised when I got to the venue and everything was set up perfectly. The food was arranged very professionally and was always full! She had my favorite beers and again they were always full. The decorations were just well thought out and tailored to me like she knew me!! I had a great time and Alysia was attentive and in control from beginning to end! Kris was the officiant at our wedding as well as the ceremony and reception coordinator. She is the absolute most organized person I know and understands and respects deadlines. She met with me numerous times throughout the planning of our wedding, and after listening and taking notes about what I wanted, she took charge and completely organized the ceremony, was in charge of delegating tasks to people in a clear manor, all the decorations for the reception, place settings, room design, decorations at the ceremony cite all while making sure all our immediate family members and bridal party were taken care of. I never had to worry about decisions she would make, as I had complete trust in her ability to create what I had invisioned for my special day. On a side note, she also coordinated our engagement party, and it turned out to be a total blast for everyone! I would recommend her to anyone planning a wedding who needs a coordinator or officiant. I have absolutely no complaints. She is professional, understanding, caring, devoted and she really puts her heart into it, as if she was planning it for her own son or daughter.

I am very customer oriented and very creative along with possessing skills of mechanical apptitude. I have a tendency to "invent" something, if necessary, in order to complete a task if a ready tool is not available. I have some tools of my own and have no problem using them whenever a project warrants. Sewing is another skill that serves well in many instances. Being creative is a huge help to fill in those areas that need a special touch. Many people don't realize what they already have that may be used in a pinch. Being able to adapt to a changing situation was an absolute necessity as a fire fighter, and fortunately that is another skill I use in various areas of daily living. Things don't always go as planned; and if I didn't learn that on the fireground, the job would be even more dangerous. Success depends on a person's ability to adapt, and I love the challenge. Dad told me when I was young that there are things a girl doesn't do. So I showed him and became a fire fighter! Wow, was that a big surprise! He was proud anyway and learned that my abilities were far more reaching, and I wasn't afraid to try to accomplish things outside the "norm". I don't give up without trying everything I can think of. I believe there are ways to make things fun without compromising the seriousness of a task. Having a sense of humor goes a long way as long as there is a good balance to being serious. I never leave anyone with an "I don't know."
