Juliet is very reliable, always on time, very clever and intelligent, very nice and interesting, and so she was the right choice for my ESL conversation lessons.
I'm a 29-year-old consultant, and as a professional, I'm invested in improving my business writing. Jenny has been teaching me the finer points of the English language, making my writing more impactful and effective in the professional setting. Jenny is highly organized and each week prepares a great lesson plan with supporting materials to work through. Currently, I've had 5 lessons with Jenny and my writing has vastly improved. I highly recommend Jenny for anyone looking to improve their knowledge of the English language, whether that be fundamental grammar or more advanced, stylistic writing techniques.
Fabian is an excellent Spanish teacher. His lessons are engaging and well paced, but always fun - definitely not all rote memorization. I highly encourage anyone that is interested in learning to speak Spanish to take lessons with Native Tongue: Professional Instruction.
Konie is an outstanding educator, motivator and advocate for my 1st grader. She has helped our child read and write and after 3 months, he is now above grade level. He was so frustrated and upset with school before we came to her, that I couldn't get him to write his name without him becoming upset or having a tantrum. She has a progressive program, including structured rewards, pre-planned lessons that build skills and reinforce learning step-by-step. Her style is positive and caring. I endorse Konie without any reservations. I'm so glad we found her!
I typically meet with Cara once a week(schedule permitting) for French lessons. We discuss everything from grammar, native phrases, business, and most importantly I feel prepared for my trip to France. I highly recommend Cara for anyone who is a Francophile, planning a trip to the City of Lights, or someone who wants to enhance their knowledge of the language. Better yet, Cara can do lessons in Spanish, Italian, as well as piano. She is a great tutor, kind and patient and you will find your time spent with her to be rewarding!! I highly recommend!
I have taken private lessons with Evelyn to refresh my advanced conversational skills. Evelyn comes prepared to our session, and always make sure to take you out and over your comfort zone. She makes the session interesting by introducing reading material on different subjects, discussing them with open end questions, analyzing the grammar and applying lessons learned to your own individual situation. She makes learning fun and challenging at the same time!
I once took some group singing lessons from Tricia, though I had never tried any voice training before. It was quite fun and Tricia can show a beginner how to practice to improve the voice as well as boost some self-confidence about singing in front of people. She also helped me correct my speech so that people can hear me more clearly. Her amazing ears can capture exactly what it is for each individual to improve on either speech or singing. Tricia is a person with very powerful spirit, so just being in her presence is quite energizing. She can work with professionals and much more advanced students too, so I believe that all levels of people have something to benefit from her lessons. Mahalo nui loa, Tricia!
Marie has tutored my boys once a week for the past several months. She has shown patience in teaching proper grammar, while at the same time, has stretched their skill and ability . Although my sons (4th and 6th grade) receive high marks in school in language arts and writing, my wife and I found ourselves often disappointed with the final drafts of their writing assignments. Their basic grammar and writing skills were not being developed in the traditional classroom (then again, quite difficult for teachers to create individual lessons with class sizes of 25+ students). This past summer we sought out help on Thumbtack and fortunately found Marie Woodruff. Marie is both supportive and demanding. Each session Marie challenges both sons and both leave each session feeling more confident. My wife and I are very satisfied as Marie teaches to an individual's skill level and not an arbitrary grade/lesson level. If your son's/daughter's writing assignments are not meeting your expectations, give Marie a call.
Kyle tutored my high school daughter in Latin. He made it enjoyable for her and manageable. He takes an interest in the student as a person and tailors his lesson plans accordingly. I highly recommend him.
I first contacted David to help me with my voice range and tone for my craft as an actor. I've been working with him for six months now and I am very very happy with my growth. not only has he helps me with my voice but we've also been working tediously with my posture, which has improved drastically. David is currently helping me with two monologues and I am very happy. He is super supportive, kind, informative, professional and overall and exceptional teacher.

Just a soon-to-be high school graduate who is saving money for college through what I know best, which is giving lessons in Spanish, English, and guitar.
I have lived and taught English abroad in Costa Rica and Brazil, as well as traveled throughout Europe and South America. I am fluent in Spanish and Portuguese. For the past couple years, I have been teaching kids classes (as well as tutoring adults) anything from creative writing to art, Spanish and geography. I am a very enthusiastic and creative person, which helps me bring very unique and fun activities to class. I always accommodate my lessons based on the student's level and specific need or interest just like for example, if you need to learn English for business or work or perhaps you need to learn some conversational Spanish for traveling. Everyone is unique so I like to make all of my lessons unique as well. No matter what, we always have a good time!
Being bilingual is a plus in today's workplace and I want to see you accomplish more than you can imagine. It is difficult to find the time and motivation, but I can assure that my interactive lessons will help you reach your goals.
Learn the art of public speaking & powerful presentations. Decide how many hours you need each week to polish your skills. Sessions are available by appointment. Whichever skills you are wanting to develop, I can help: Connecting with your audience, Verbal delivery, Body language, & Speech content are the main four. But perhaps you have another issue. Let's talk about it, so you can get the coaching you need. The question to ask is, are you "coachable"? Are you ready for this program? The next step might be to focus on your "mindset for success". While many truly desire success, there can be some inner conflict interfering with a smooth transition from where you are to where you want to be. Slow down enough to clarify your concerns and together, we'll get you there. As a long-time consultant & motivational speaker, I've worked with over a dozen hi-tech start-ups in Silicon Valley, California, as well as senior executives with Fortune 500 companies, both here and abroad. I've been standing up in front of people since I was a child prodigy & found to be quite articulate at a young age. But I credit my father with that. He taught me to think before I speak & cultivate a good vocabulary. My mom taught me diction. In grade school I studied public speaking. In college I had to make presentations. All of this prepared me for a business career with Fortune 500 companies. Eventually as a business analyst for AT&T, I discovered that my flair for presentations was in demand by executives and other professionals who desired to advance in their careers or feel more relaxed in social situations.
I enjoy teaching grammar . Grammar is the key to learn a new language. I make sure students embrace every aspect of it.
