Nancy is an esteemed and trusted colleague whom I have had the privilege of working with for several years now. Nancy's enthusiasm for the clients she works with is only matched by her experience and preparedness in the therapy room. She shows a consistent care for clients even when she is not "at work". She is hard working, humorous, authentic, and a wonderful option as a therapist whether you are an individual adult, in a couple, or seeking therapy for your child.

Payton asked me questions about my history to get a better understanding of me. After talking for a while, we did a guided meditation and I felt more relaxed afterwards. We talked over some spirituality concepts too as she tried to know me better

I had always heard of this type of counseling but had never participated in one. Diana supported me through five sessions of Shamanic Counseling about a month ago, and it was a wonderful and productive experience. Diana was very professional during the entire time, always communicating in a clear way and always providing a safe space for me to ask any questions. Most of all she always made me feel that we were working together, as a team. Like in any counseling at the beginning I felt a little "shy" to express myself, but Diana's gentle voice and soft energy allowed me to unfold in a comfortable way never feeling judged by her. Of course this is a type of work that doesn't really have an end, but the first 5 sessions I completed with Diana were very helpful. I definitely feel our work together reached deep levels of consciousness and brought out useful results that I am currently using in present time. At the end of our work, Diana was generous enough to provide me with the tools so that - if I wanted to- I could continue working with my spirit guides independently. I am honored to have worked with Diana on such an intimate experience, and I would do it again any time.

Most importantly, we must both feel that it's a good therapeutic fit. It's important that you feel comfortable and confident that you will get the help you're seeking. I offer the first session without charge so that we can have the chance to see in person whether or not it is a good match. If we decide to work together, I tailor the way I work to you, specifically. If you are able and ready to dig in deep, we can move quickly. If you are worried that that moving quickly could be overwhelming, I'm able to be patient with the pace that you need.

About

We each possess a great wellspring of aliveness which yearns to come forth and express itself no matter what long-held beliefs act to constrict its expression. I see the process of therapy as both loosening the knots of old beliefs and finding ways to tap into this aliveness, in order to live a more authentic and satisfying life. When working with clients, I use an approach that is relational and collaborative, helping clients make the best use of the strengths they bring to therapy. My work incorporates experiential, somatic, and mindfulness-based approaches. I received a master’s degree in transpersonal counseling psychology from JFK University, have received postgraduate training in existential contemplative psychotherapy, and have completed the two-year comprehensive training in Hakomi, a mindfulness-based method of somatic psychotherapy. I am also trained in EMDR, and often use this with clients dealing with the effects of trauma. Additional influences include psychodynamic, Jungian, sandtray and expressive arts therapies. I have lived for extended periods of time in both Germany and Japan, and am familiar with cross-cultural and expatriate issues.

About

I specialize in anxiety disorders particularly OCD, PTSD and phobias. I also specialize in hoarding and depression. I have received high-quality training from leaders in the field and have had a fair amount of success with the clients I've treated so far. Roughly 70% of those who follow my treatment recommendations are able to see significant change.

About

My work is collaborative and empowering. I believe every client I work with has the capacity for growth and change, I am simply there to facilitate the discovery of this. I utilize coaching techniques within the psychotherapeutic framework, which I believe gives the client the benefits of psychotherapy's capacity for depth and coaching's empowering relationship.

I offer work in Spanish and English. "Mireya's passion in the arts is in theater improvisation, the exploration of different dance forms, process painting and mask making. She genuinely thrives in the unknown and trusts the transformative potential of the creative process as well as the inner healing intelligence within the psyche. Because she continually turns to the arts for healing in her own life, her clients find it safe to explore, uncover and release from the depths of the psyche." - Rosy Aronson Ph.D, expressive arts therapist and spiritual counselor

About

Change is not easy! And yet sometimes, the pain of difficult feelings, a challenging situation or a rocky relationship can overwhelm everything else. At such times, you may feel compelled to try something new and to give up exhausted efforts at doing it alone. In counseling, you can find relief from anxious thoughts, painful relationships, and self-defeating behaviors. Therapy offers you the opportunity to heal from your past, better manage your present and develop more adaptive and fulfilling ways of being. In my practice, I see women, men, couples, families and groups of many ages and cultural backgrounds. No two situations are ever exactly alike. At the same time, there are some issues that I work with more than others, and these are listed here: * Trauma * Divorce * Anxiety * Lost Women (please see my website for more information) * Grief or Loss I am a certified practitioner of EMDR (eye movement desensitization reprocessing) and expressive arts therapy (EXA). EMDR is a mind-body technique that's used to process disturbing memories (i.e.: traumatic events) that contribute to unexplained fears and self-defeating beliefs and behaviors. EXA is a therapeutic modality that's dedicated to the use of creativity as a vehicle for change. For more information on these techniques and how they work, please feel free to visit my website. About

I believe humans change and develop throughout their life span. In some twenty years of practicing psychotherapy, I have come to view the most emotional symptoms and all relationship crises as opportunities to re-engage and support aspects of self-development. I was educated in the US and Germany; my professional experience ranges from work in very traditional clinical settings to being a therapist and group facilitator for staff at the Esalen Institute. I have received extensive training in psychodynamic-developmental, family systems, Gestalt, cognitive, and somatic modalities of psychotherapy, and I will apply "tools of these trades" and insights in our work together, as appropriate. My approach is sensitive, empathic and respectful, but also direct and straightforward. As you start to discover and tell me about yourself, I will not hesitate to provide you my honest feedback. And if you happen to have misplaced your sense of humor, I’ll help you get it back.
