Ricardo has been great! First he installed our gas dryer. Arrived on time, finished his works quickly and handed over the receipt of materials he picked up at Home Depot. The following week he built a platform in our garage and finished the job quicker than expected. Again clearly detailing his material purchases. Highly recommended!

Fast, responsive and friendly! Repaired a washer unit in a rental for me. My husband had called another Diamond Repair service for another repair in the meantime and they were nowhere near as courteous and responsive as these guys.

Alex fixed my Thermador oven and range. It’s taken 7 years and three service people to get it repaired. He did it for $250 labor and parts. It works perfectly now! He was not able to fully repair my Bosch dryer but came back three times and got it working better. I think it has more to do with my very old dryer. He refunded me labor costs in full without my even asking! I’ll work with Alex again! I highly recommend him.

Nasar provided excellent services. He patched, painted, redid all outlets and recessed lighting, including installing a 240 volt electric dryer outlet. For some services he required additional assistance and coordinated with other compentent professionals, releaving me of having to find more people. He also installed a tankless water heater in one day after being asked to do as an add on service. His communication on supplies, budgets, and costs and timeliness were very much appreciated. He was prepared and ensured he understood what was being requested. Thank you Nasar!

Edwin is a perfectionist. He takes his time to scope the project and does not rest until he achieves his goal, no matter what he has to do to reach there. We had a huge project of installing recessed lights in our entire home (about 28 lights) and he was more than happy to work with us and give us estimates and list of materials to bring in. He was on time always, hardly took any break and worked with us on our personalized needs for lighting each room. He spent a lot of time with us trying to understand what we need and gave valuable suggestions. At one place, we encountered that we had hit a stud in the ceiling while drilling a hole. He stayed extremely calm and patched it up in a way that no one can tell there was a hole there! Everytime we walk into any of the rooms, its perfect with lighting. He also replaced all the switches in our home and fixed our dish washer! He worked through the 4th of july! I would highly recommend working with Edwin and look forward to having him over for more projects at my home. 5 star services

Nathan came out first thing in the morning and called me about 20 minutes before arriving. He was very thorough in diagnosing the problem with my washing machine. Unfortunately, the motor was bad and it made more sense to buy a new washing machine. He recommended the type of washing machine to buy. I had him service the dryer since it had never been done. He was very polite, professional and helpful. I let him know that I would be recommending them to my neighbors and would use them again for any other appliance repairs. It's nice to come across a small company with great customer service.

I reached out to a few services for a washing machine repair quote and in my request, Alex was the only one who provided some info about an error I'm receiving. Alex replied with an explanation of a few options of what may be causing it and what it'll take to repair. He came out and provided an initial assessment and isolated the problem, provided me the part number and a few options on how we can source the part; either through him (he'll source it locally) or online; which I did. Once the part arrived, I contacted Ale and he came out on a Sunday evening to install the part. He didn't have to but was proactive and demonstrated a sense of urgency to ensuring my washer was fixed. Great service, very nice person and very knowledgeable; do not hesitate to contact Alex for your appliance repair needs.

Few days ago, my LG dryer suddenly gave up on me, leaving me with a huge pile of wet washed laundry ,that now had to be dried. I needed to find somebody professional to fix my dryer, and to do it the same day, because I would have to work the next 3 days. I called around few other companies, who were either booked or didn't want to come by in the evening. Finally, I found Fuse appliance Repair company. Adam answered my phone call and promised to come by today, because it was in state of urgency for me. He assured me that he will take care of everything and I will have working dryer today. He showed up a little earlier the time we discussed on a phone. Within 25 minutes he was able to fix my dryer, he showed me a cause of a problem, run a test cycle to make sure it actually works, and gave me fee tips on keeping my unit running longer, without having to spend more money on maintenance. I'm very happy with Adam, his promptness, his honesty, and surprisingly affordable price. I would recommend this company to all my friends from now on, great job!

My refrigerator unit was not cold enough. I called Appliance Repair master and Joe was able to diagnose the problem quickly and accurately. It turned out that the evaporator fan motor just failed in the freezer. Replacing evap.fan motor helped to solve the problem. I recommend their service to everyone

William Villar of B.A. Appliance is the best technician I have ever used for an appliance repair. Our initial phone conversation before deciding on him was honest, pleasant, and he knew how to fix my electric dryer after I explained the problem. He gave me an estimate for the repairs that included parts, labor, and a six month warranty on the work and stick to it. He had time to come the same day we talked. He was there right on time at 5:00. He did the work expeditiously, clean the inside of the dryer to free it from tons of lint, and added lubrication at no extra cost. I have kept few of his cards to share with my co-workers, family, and neighbors. This is the best and honest repair individual I have done worked with in 30 years. I mean that!

Doug was great! He was on time and fixed our microwave very quickly. I'd highly recommend him to help repair appliances. In fact, he is returning to fix the burner on our counter top stove!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does refrigerator repair cost?

Refrigerator repair generally costs a fraction of the price of a new fridge and shouldhave your appliance up and running again in no time. The problems your refrigerator is experiencing and the parts required to fix it will affect your repair costs. Where you live can affect labor rates, which will raise or lower your costs. Here are some examples of average costs:

  • Diagnostic fees: $50-$100. Repair pros often have a service call fee or diagnostic fee to account for their time traveling to your location with all their tools to assess the problem. If you choose to have them repair the fridge, most pros then credit this fee toward your repair cost.
  • Parts: $20-$500. A new compressor averages $200, an icemaker $300, and computerized components such as touch screens and control boards average $300 or more.
  • Basic repairs: $180-$400, including parts. This price range can include repairing the evaporator or fan motor.

How long do fridges last?

Refrigerators can last 10 to 20 years, although the most common lifespan is about 13 years. If your fridge is acting up, consider its current age when deciding whether to invest in repairs or buy a new one. Common easy fixes include faulty thermostats, dirty coils and clogged drain lines. Thermostats and dirty coils can be generally be fixed for an average cost of $80-$100. Clogged drain lines, which usually cause leaks, can often be fixed for under $200.

More complex refrigeration repairs such as replacing a bad compressor or replenishing low refrigerant can cost more because of expensive parts and higher labor. A new compressor costs an average of $200, not including labor. If labor is an average of $75-$100 per hour, and the repair takes 3 hours, you’re looking at roughly $500. Consider the age and purchase cost of your fridge; investing $350 in a $600 fridge that is 8 years old may not be cost-effective.
