I am a middle aged guy, (54) and wanted to make radical changes in my life. I started by addressing my up-tight over weight body! This is where I found Veronique. Veronique is not your average Yoga, fitness swim instructor, much more. For me she is guiding me through a new way of life, addressing all of what I think are my short comings. In our first few weeks I have gained much more flexibility, strength and confidence than I have had in a very long time. Veronica is a truly gifted and professional teacher. What ever your concerns, Veronique is so nonjudgmental, you will become comfortable in a very short time no matter what level you are at. When leaving our two hour session i am already looking forward to our next. I give 5 stars!
Melissa is a great yoga instructor; nurturing for beginners and also challenging for experienced yoga practicers. And she brings fun, energy, and caring to the class. I took her class weekly for a couple years and learned a lot from her.
Justin is AWESOME. Working with justin has been a lot of fun. Not only with strength trainining, but flexibility and core training with yoga and acroyoga with my girlfriend and I. I go to justin to boost my workouts and mix things up. I'm a functional movement based sports doctor and I can tell you that I'm impressed with Justin's approach to exercise and wellness. No matter how much you think you know, you'll still learn more, reach your goals faster, and benefit from seeing an experienced and knowledgeable trainer like Justin. He's also big on nutrition, which is fundamental to being and feeling healthy. His company Kula Wellness also does meal prep which is pretty cool. 5 stars!!
I've been taking Ellen Chapelle's yoga classes for the past 2 or 3 years. She is amazing. Her knowledge not only of yoga, but the human body is so out of control. She has great suggestions and advice for every little question I have. Her energy is so radiant that it just feels great to be around her! She's hilarius too. It's great to see someone so expierienced but still not take themselves or life to seriously. Great energy. Great person. Great teacher. I recommend any of her classes to anyone.
Ericka is amazing! She does a great job of pushing you to your limits while also respecting what level you are (beginners & advanced!) Awesome with HIIT, Yoga, Running, fun park activities. Great positive energy & compliments with good rec's on food / lifestyle choices.
My experience with Ferox Yoga was a very pleasant and informative experience. When I scheduled a private session with Claire, she was very quick to respond, and she provided me with a questionnaire that addressed all of my needs, goals, and noted any injuries I have/had. I am a male individual in my late twenties, and I lift weights about 4-5 times a week. I don't have too much experience in yoga, and I'm not all that flexible. A few years back, I had spent about five months recovering from a lower back injury from doing deadlifts improperly. Since then, I've recovered, but I've noticed a lack of strength in my lower back which I noted in Claire's questionnaire. Once we began the private lesson, she assured me I didn't require any previous experience. We focused heavily on my form and breathing through many of the starting poses, and she showed me a lot of different exercises that helped to strengthen my lower back. Claire was extremely supportive and patient throughout the entire lesson. Also, her bubbliness and kindness are one of a kind! My first experience with Ferox Yoga was amazing. By the end of the session, my entire body felt energized, and I had gained more knowledge from Claire about yoga than I'd ever had. She was a great instructor, and she did such a great job accommodating me considering my lack of experience and past injury. I would highly recommend her regardless if you are an avid yogin, recovering from an injury, or totally new to yoga. She is great!
I really enjoyed taking yoga classes from Karen. She is attentive, embraces beginners as well as more advanced students and you can clearly see that yoga is her passion. I highly recommend her classes :)
I typically practice yoga in SF, but when in the East Bay...I do as yogis do & enter the world of serenity & positivity at So Yoga & Healing🙏🏼 The marvelous Margaret led her classes with constant professionalism with a welcoming & casual approach. I appreciate how her classes begin with student participation honoring special requests (e.g. focus on lower body, hips, core, etc.) or considerations (e.g. those with ankle injuries, weak backside, etc.). Most especially, I enjoy each closing savasana that allows one to decompress mentally, emotionally, physically - this is made possible because of Margaret's subtle, yet effective use of aromatherapy oils, a sweet treat every time! And lastly, what makes this class astounded original is the rhythmic beats of reggae tunes accompanying nearly each asana that Margaret carefully guides her students through: cannot wait until the next time & that's for real mon! All❤️one❤️for So Yoga & Healing❤️💛💚
Kylie was very professional and skilled in taking me through the yoga poses. The session was very relaxing and fulfilling.
I’ve truly enjoyed training with Lauren. Through her enthusiasm and friendliness, she gently pushes me in my workouts, which I really need at times. She refularly challenged me while I was pregnant and working out with her and helped me transition back into workouts after giving birth to my daughter. My partner and I have been working out together with Lauren while on leave together, and we’ve really enjoyed how she uses partner work during our sessions. Lauren puts together creative workouts that combine strength training, yoga, stretching, and balancing. On my own, I’d likely just lift some weights; Lauren challenges me to improve all areas of my body. Overall, I really appreciate her outlook on physical fitness: she emphasizes kindness and appreciation for the body. I highly recommend her!

However, it was not until I joined Yoga Pod that I fell in love with yoga, and Denelle is a huge part of why. Denelles class is something I look forward to each week; her energy and passion for yoga are contagious! Denelles practice always challenges the mind, body, and soul, but she balances this with a sense of humor and light-heartedness. Her dance background is apparent in her beautiful flows and poses, and she does a great job of breaking down the poses so that all levels can comfortably participate. She is a wonderful teacher and I leave her class energized and ready to take on the week!
Kristen was an absolute pleasure! I hired Kristen for my sister's bachelorette in Calistoga. She responded quickly and thoroughly answered all of my questions. She arrived on time with great music and catered the level to our group. My sister said it was the best yoga class she's had, which means I got a lot of praise all thanks to Kristen! I have ALWAYS left Leigh’s yoga classes feeling better than when I came in. Her extensive training as a yoga instructor and healer is evident in her teaching practice. Her hands-on adjustments and strength-based vinyasa flow sequencing are spot on. The practice she offers feels genuinely safe and well-rounded.
I have known Alia for a very long time now and worked with her for about two years. She was the perfect trainer for me because of her background in Yoga. I have back and knee problems from when I played soccer and Volleyball and she was very responsive to that and knew all the right workouts and stretches. She kicked my butt with out out hurting me further. So if you are someone who has any kind of back problem or anything really she can work around that! Thank you Alia for your service and pushing me to be my best :)
I reached out to Krystle to help me with structuring a personal yoga routine for my busy lifestyle. She understood fully my level of engagement and opened my eyes to the benefits of awareness to breath and meditation. Then not only did she help me with improving the yoga postures i had struggled with due to tightness in certain muscle groups, she even suggested an inexpensive, quality foam roller to invest in that I now use on a daily basis :) Krystle's yoga guidance has been absolutely indispensible and I look forward to my next session with her!
What can I say besides she is the VERY BEST! I have been practicing with MaryAnn for 4 years both in classes full of students and in one on one private sessions. She has helped me gain confidence in myself as a yogi and as an individual. She pushes me to push myself but also knows when I need to slow it down and listen to my body (especially during pregnancy). MaryAnn’s love for movement is everpresent in the way she flows and transitions through both her yoga and dance practice. The way she sequences yoga flows on demand is so creative. She helps people explore and play with movement, moving them beyond their comfort zone. I have had many “ah ha!” moments with MaryAnn all because of her “Just try it!” perspective.

Sasha is a yogi. He is definitely the greatest yogi I know, but then again he’s the only yogi I know. Sasha takes yoga very seriously - he reads lots of books by the great yogis, studies chakras and views it as a spiritual practice above all. He took a Kundalini Yoga instructor class and wants to help others on their spiritual path. I once visited Sasha with my girlfriend, and since he’s a friend of mine, he offered us a class which he called “simple”. Since I’m definitely not a yogi I found nothing simple about this class. Let me tell you, I was quite impressed with Sasha’s command of his body. The things he does with his stomach are kinda crazy. My muscles were sore for 3 days after that. This was mighty impressive to watch Sasha practice his passion. Sasha approach to yoga is very spiritual. He hums, chants mantras and all that stuff. If you’re into spirituality, you might get a kick out of that. He can use yoga to invoke rather intense psychedelic experiences in himself, and probably in you, too. You have to agree that this is an impressive ability. Yoga is an ancient art of discovering the reality of your existence. Yogis train for many years to attain the absolute truth and perceive reality for what it is. Those yogis who attain to truth are called gurus. Sasha is no guru yet, but he has definitely worked through some of his attachments with the help of yoga and plant medicine. So he might help you start the journey of self-discovery, as long as you don’t get too attached to yoga or Sasha in the process, and focus on the experience that he can help you have rather than his explanation of your experience, which would probably involve chakras. You will also probably get more healthy. Actually, if you practice consistently - for sure. But if you’re looking at yoga as an eastern-flavored gymnastics, Sasha is not for you. He is well above that level. You’d be better off booking a class at your local gym.
Brett is amazing. We had our first office yoga session today, and he was wonderful at walking us through each pose while maintaining a harmonious setting. He even provided music. It's very apparent he is well experienced and has a lot to teach. We can't wait to learn more in our next class.
Regina was amazing to work with! She immediately recognized things about my body that I've been struggling to identify for years. She gave me clear and specific tools that I can apply as I develop my own practice and attend other group classes. I highly recommend Regina to anyone looking for a more personalized introduction to yoga. I will be booking again with her very soon!
