I've been taking guitar and singing lessons with David for a few months, and I've got to say I've had a really great time learning from him! David is an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable teacher who clearly cares about his students and their goals, and better still has played and performed with the artists that I like best. It took me a while to find a teacher who was willing to teach me the music I wanted to play instead of starting with their core competence, so it was really refreshing that within a month or two with plenty of practice I was able to learn one of my favorite songs (Three Rounds and a Sound by Blind Pilot, if you're curious), and a little longer to start singing it, which I was really stoked about. He has been great about breaking things down when the piece we're working on is too challenging. David has also pushed me to pursue my goal of creating music, helping along the way to create melodies and lyrics. I have to say, it takes a great teacher to get me to sing and to share lyrics with them (do you know how embarrassing that can be?). I could go on, but suffice it to say, David is a great teacher, and I'm really glad I started taking lessons with him.
I purchased bass guitar lessons for my Dad with Dylan. Dylan was very thoughtful and responsive. My Dad has had 3 lessons so far and loves it. He had been learning on his own and says things make sense now and he also appreciates the music theory that Dylan incorporates into the lessons. He and I recommend Dylan.
Playing guitar has always been a dream of mine and liz helped me make that dream come true. Through her weekly guitar lessons I learned the chords and strumming patters to play all kinds of songs. I'm Learning one right now to play for a surprise birthday party I'm throwing for My husband. He is definitely going to. Be surprised when he hears how well I play. Thanks liz for helping me get started on mybucket list with very enjoyable lessons guitar lessons.
We hired Allison to teach my kids how to play the guitar and piano. Allison is a great teacher and works well with my kids, my kids really like her. We are happy we hired her.
Deborah is a blast to play with and always engages the audience with her stage presence. We play as a duo, guitar and vocals. She has an excellent meter and vocal range as I always hear here hitting all the right notes.
I have been receiving guitar lessons from Dave for about 4-5 months now and it has done wonders for my playing ability and understanding of music in general. He is a super nice guy and an incredibly persistent instructor. He is both encouraging and rigorous; a great combination that has yielded fantastic results for me personally. Such a patient guy too, great with younger musicians who may just be starting out. Highly recommend you check him out if you're looking to get into guitar, piano, mandolin or ukelele; first lesson is free, so see for yourself if he might be a good fit for you.
I watched Forrest grow up playing guitar on his porch across the street from my house. I remember how beautiful his music was, and how much he inspired me to want to play, so I went to the store and purchased a guitar and some instructional tapes, and books, and had a go at learning on my own. I found that self teaching was rather ineffective, so I decided to look for a teacher. The first person who came to mind was Forrest. Turns out he had been teaching guitar for 2 years at that point and was more than willing to take me under his wing! What turned into a few months of going over fundamental chords, turned into four years of lessons! He is the sweetest boy, with the biggest heart.
Rick is a great guitar teacher at any level. He can teach everything from theory to practical playing and make it fun. I highly recommend him if you want to learn the correct way of playing.
Seth is exactly what I was looking for. My boys love music and have learned a tremendous amount from Seth, ranging from taking a guitar solo at a live gig to taking the microphone and singing with gusto. My 8 year old takes private drum lessons for less than a year, and we are impressed by how many beats he now knows. It is clear that Seth loves what he does. He is skilled at relating to children and getting them excited to play music. He is fun and light and that carries over I'm his teaching style. We couldn't be happier and highly recommend him.
I've known Chris for about 3 years, first as a friend from the neighborhood who shared a passion for the same type music as myself and now as a mentor to my son teaching him guitar and how to be an all round cool guy. His teaching style is totally laid back and covers all types of music.......best illustrated by catching his group "Hibbity Dibbity"in action at many a local venue! Do yourself a favor and let Chris take the stuffiness out of learning! Iainmackinlay
Jerry was very charismatic and knowledgeable about bass guitar. I've played guitar for a few years and recently picked up a used bass, and I took several lessons with Jerry to explore the fundamentals of bass playing. He quickly pointed out some problems in the way I played coming from guitar and pushed me to improve so I could play better and help protect myself from injuries. He also worked with me to improve the feel of my bass playing, that hard-to-describe quality that clearly separates a good player from a weak one. I'm glad I found Jerry and he got me on the right path!
I had a great experience learning with Jackson, he taught me a lot about the guitar that I didn’t know before. Besides that, he too gave really good constructive criticism regarding songwriting and musicianship in general.
Cherie is a great instructor. Before I started lessons with her I was trying to teach myself and found that I’d hit a wall, just wasn’t getting where I wanted to be, she helped me out of that rut. She opened up my options by laying down the basics, then expanded my palette based on where I wanted to go with songs and guitar. She likes to balance what she calls the weigh-lifting of guitar and the fun stuff - exercises and songs. I never felt bored or very frustrated. She pays attention. I really felt she was teaching me what I needed to learn. She also teaches singing lessons and we worked a bit on my vocals during our guitar lessons. Was a nice add-on. She’s a pro and very easy to work with.
I have had guitar lessons with John Lewis for two months now and I have to say without a doubt, he has exceeded my expectations in every way. Not only is he a very talented musician, he also possesses a rare talent for communicating and teaching guitar and musical concepts that are sometimes hard to grasp. He is patient, kind, encouraging, inspirational, and very creative in his teaching style. He knows how to judge exactly how much information I can handle at one time and I never leave feeling overwhelmed. He always makes the lessons interesting, challenging, and FUN! I am so grateful to have found this wonderful teacher and I highly recommend him to anyone from beginner to advanced. He truly is the Best of the Best!!!
Mike has been giving my daughter guitar lessons now for approximately 4 to 5 months. She is just 9 years old, but he is able to really relate to her and her style of music. More importantly, he has been able to build upon the basics while keeping her engaged and excited about guitar. I HIGHLY recommend Mike!
It has been some 5+ years that I have had the privilege to be one of Peppino's students. Having laid down my guitar for over 20 years before I met Peppino, I was a little apprehensive to start up again with someone as talented and gifted as Peppino. With an abundance of patience and guidance, Peppino was able to knock some of the rust off my fingers and reawaken my love for the guitar. Peppino has the unique ability to take his students beyond what they thought they were capable of and introduce them to a whole new level of musicianship. He is able to cater his teaching to the needs of each individual student; be they beginner, intermediate, or advanced guitarist. I am truly grateful for all that Peppino has given me so far, and hope to continue under his instruction.
Just had my first guitar lesson with Ryan and it went great! Thought he had a great balance between teaching me the technicalities while also incorporating the stylistic types of music we discussed that I wanted to learn. I am a beginner student and felt very comfortable with Ryan, he has a great personality and made my lesson both educational and fun! Looking forward to continue working with and learning from him. - Jess
My three boys play a mixture of guitar and piano. Ryan keeps them interested in playing songs that they pick and want to play. He has made music a fun part of our household.
Conrad was an incredible teacher for my son. Lessons were always fun and he was very patient, allowing my son to learn at his own pace. My son always looked forward to his lessons as the highlight of his week. Conrad is also very good at teaching a variety of styles from rock to jazz. Highest possible recommendation.

I teach "emotional guitar" to my students. I focus on beginning and intermediate students who want to fall in love with the guitar. I don't teach how to read music, but rather demonstrate on how to play through chords, licks, and techniques. I can help them advance in various styles from flatpick to finger pick, slide guitar, or open tunings. I like to instill a passion in my students so that the guitar become a friend they can carry with them for a lifetime.

I am a guitar teacher! I have been playing for over 10 years in and out of live bands. I can play and teach a wide variety of musical styles in both acoustic and electric guitar. I can also teach ukulele. I am flexible with my scheduling! I charge $100 per month. That gets you one 30-minute lesson a week. I can teach kids or adults at most skill levels. I teach out of my apartment.
