I found Scott on this Thumbtack website when I was looking for a personal chef for a joint 5th/70th grandson/grandmother birthday. I was worried about hiring someone I'd never met to spend several hours cooking in our home. I did not need to worry! Scott made a fantastic salmon dish with risotto. His spicy salad was scrumptious. The fruit platter was beautiful. For the kids, he made a separate steak entree. Everyone loved the food. On top of it all, Scott is very personable. (He gave my cousin cooking tips while preparing in the kitchen.) Scott served the food and made everything easy and all had a great time. When the meal was over, he cleaned everything up and left the place spotless. We were left with delicious leftovers to enjoy during the week. I would definitely hire Scott again.
Chef Barbara is an experienced and versatile chef and teacher. We worked together to plan a highly custom cooking class & dinner for a group of women in honor of our bride friend. I felt listened to as I expressed our group's needs and the details of our event, and she ended up nailing the perfect menu catered to our bride's tastes. I really appreciated Chef's thoughtful, well researched and creative suggestions.
I hired Laura to teach a series of cooking classes at the school where I am the Director. She is an amazing teacher along with being an incredible chef. My students were constantly asking when Chef Laura would be coming back. Laura came to each session, enthusiastic and ready to cook and teach. She is really creative, and was able to incorporate fresh fruits and vegetables from our school garden! The lessons ranged from soups to sweet baked goods. My favorite cooking lesson included home made pasta with a delicious tomato sauce. I am looking forward to working with her again.
Melissa does amazing in-home cooking lessons. We asked to learn how to cook meat on the bone, and ended up with bone-in pork chops, pan sauce to top it, one-of-a-kind couscous, and delicious roasted vegetables - all in a two hour lesson. Melissa was a consummate professional and teacher, but she was also a blast to work with. I had the privilege of partaking in Chef's cooking on more than one occasion and each time it left me wanting more! One time in particular he may some sort of crab ceviche served in martini glasses. I had about 8 of those! Needless to say, his culinary skills are on point. The thing I like best about Chef's cooking (outside of the delectability) is the time and detail he puts into making his dishes just right. I liken his work to a painter creating a masterpiece. Good stuff!
The Chef Vanna Mori has been our chef during 3 aÃ±os teaching in our Italian cooking classes within our company Participacione Mariano Sa de Cv, Calle Rosas Moreno 32, col S.Rafael, 06470 Mexico DF. The Chef V. Mori performed her job very very satisfactorely, producing tipycal italian tradicional dishes and new ones as well. Many of her recepies were eventually used in our restaurant c/o Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Mexico City and in other restaurants amongst our clients. ( Our company distributes italian food and wines to the Ho.Re.Ca mexican market ): Actually she has improved our experience with her teching which were followed later by other chef who joined us after Vanna left for the USA. Her bilingual experience in our opinion will offer her the opportunity to teach in both languages now that sho is in USA. A
His knowledge was amazing. He was able to breakdown, in an easy to understand way, the science, and the art of cooking. What was also great was that he didn't just teach recipes, he taught the different principles of cooking and because of that I can create great, delicious dishes from scratch, not matter what I have in the fridge. My mind was blown when we covered salads. I didn't know there was another side of salads that made it more enticing and more high class. (see picture below) Overall, Chef Know-It-All is an amazing, artful chef that has the ability to make others fall in love with cooking. He's patient, insightful, and heavily invested in the student's progress and success. Every question I had, he answered. And every hurdle I had, he helped me get over it. Oh and did I mention it was fun! He taught me some flair tricks that the professionals use to make cooking fancy. Now I'm flipping sauces, cooking with big fires, and sprinkling flourishes left and right! I simply can't enough. 5 out of 5 stars for me.

I attended a boat cruise in Redondo Beach that was catered by AI Private Chefs & Catering. I was thoroughly impressed by the quality of the food and professionalism exhibited by this company. There was a variety of wraps (vegan, non-vegan) and salads that were perfect for the event and setting. I would highly recommend hiring this caterer for events.
I've taken a few cooking classes from Aneesa over the last year and they have all been great learning experiences. Her Brunch class with Egg's Benedict was my favorite and I have perfected my own Benedict at home since then. She provides a relaxed setting in her immaculate home and the small groups I've been with have always been great fun! (p.s.- we brought our own champagne)...
